Foundation. November 2, 2004

Spartanburg, SC

(Colt Cabana is standing by in the locker room.)

Colt: I've got a message for all the little Coltists out there. I'm sorry. Over a week ago I had a match that could have springboarded my career into orbit! The main event of one of the biggest Pay Per Views in RCW history and a chance to gain the RCW Title. I let the Coltists down, and I let myself down. Weeks ago I gave Rico Cassanova a lesson about making an impact, and I wound up being just as big a dissapointment as he is...well almost. Well, it's time to start up again, and I've got just the chance. Ladies and Gentlemen, I've generously requested that RCW put my deserved rematch against Alan Mayse here on television, so you don't have to wait for the next Pay Per View! Alan, take the hour and change you have left to enjoy that title, because at the end of the show, you'll be staring down the barrel of a .45.

("Prayer" opening.)

(Black Blade and Bluejay are in the ring.)

Tara: Welcome to Foundation, and another night of action from Renegade Championship Wrestling. You heard right, a Homecoming Hell rematch tonight as Alan Mayse defends the RCW Title against Colt Cabana. Also tonight, an RCW Television Title defense as Ronin Fox takes on the challenge of Swinger.

Joel: Let's not forget the Fallen Angel is in the building. Christopher Daniels faces Cynric here tonight.

Tara: But we're set to start with tag team action. Black Blade and Bluejay, two of the newest graduates from the RCW Training Camp, are looking at a very rough day at work. I'm Tara Fisher, and I'm kind of missing sharing the broadcast position with Elvis.

Joel: And though that old hound dog couldn't make it here today I did. It is I, the quintessential studmuffin, the real king of commentary, and a good god damn handsome man, Joel "I've got your hunka hunka burnin' love, stuffed inside a latex glove, and though near me you'll be feeling loose, don't you drip on my blue suade shoes" Gertner...

("Fuel" hits and the Pyro Twins make thier way to the ring.)

Tara: This is a non-title match, though imagine what a victory would do for this young team?

Joel: You mean besides force the Pyro Twins to murder them?

The Pyro Twins vs. Black Blade and Bluejay

(Black Blade hits a flying headscisor on Jay as the bell rings. He hits the ropes and keeps Jay down with a somersault legdrop. He rolls to the corner and quickly tags in Bluejay. Bluejay climbs to the top rope and hits a senton bomb. He covers for the pin, but Jay kicks out a one.)

(Jay pulls Bluejay into a judo arm throw and gets into the mount position, hammering Bluejay with right hands. He pulls Bluejay up and whips him hard into the corner, tagging Dusty in. Jay and Dusty whip Bluejay to the ropes and hit a double leg trip, following it up with the Compactor dropkicks to the ribs. Jay steps out as Dusty pulls Bluejay up and takes him back down with a uranage suplex. He stands up and pulls Bluejay slowly up for a teardrop suplex. Dusty goes up to the top rope and hits a kneedrop to the chest. He covers Bluejay, but gets up at two and starts stomping.)

Tara: Come on, is this neccessary?

Joel: The more important question to Dusty right now is, is this fun?

(Dusty picks Bluejay up and throws him into his own corner, daring Black Blade to tag in. He does. Black Blade gets in the ring and charges right into a DDT. Dusty tags in Jay. Jay pulls Black Blade up and hits a backbreaker as Dusty climbs to the top rope. He delivers the Mandate of Heaven. Jay backs up and watches as Black Blade starts to get up. Jay knocks him right back down with a spinning heel kick. Jay tags in Dusty again, Dusty pulling Black Blade up to hit the Rope Burn. As Black Blade stubles back, the Pyro Twins hit Final Darkness and Dusty covers for the pin.)

Winners: The Pyro Twins by pin.

Joel: Hey, remember back when Black Blade pulled off a few moves against Jay?

Tara: Well...actually no.

Joel: Neither does Black Blade now, but we can take a look at it.

(Some replays of various moves are shown.)

(In the ring, Jay pulls Bluejay back toward the center of the ring.)

Tara: Now come on, the match is over.

Joel: That sounds familiar.

Tara: Well you know I hate this, so you won, you should still show some respect. Let these two walk out of here.

(Jay hits a belly to belly suplex on Bluejay that has him land on top of Black Blade. Dusty goes outside and slides in two tables. Jay sets them up while Dusty reaches into his pocket for a bottle. Before he can open it, some refs storm into the ring and get between him and the table. Dusty threatens them, but they stand strong threatening fines and suspension.)

Tara: I don't want to know what they were planning. Hopefully they won't try it again.

Joel: We've got to take a break while some order is restored in the ring. Stay with us.

(Commercial break.)

("Head Like a Hole" hits and Christopher Daniels makes his way to the ring.)

Tara: Welcome back to Foundation, you're looking at a man who's been miserable since losing his shot to become the first RCW Television Champion at Homecoming Hell.

Joel: An incredible competitor, who despite losing had one hell of a match at that event. That match was a major reason that Homecoming Hell has been called perhaps the best RCW Event in the company's history.

("Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)

Christopher Daniels vs. Cynric

(Cynric and Chris lock up, Cynric backs Chris into the corner and backs away with a clean break. Chris steps out to the center, reaches for a collar elbow tieup, but throws a low kick. Cynric blocks the kick and trips Chris down with a single leg takedown, kicking to the hamstrings.)

Tara: One thing you probably shouldn't do, and that's try and take Cynric down with martial arts.

(Chris rolls backward and gets to his feet. He locks up with Cynric again, this time Chris backing Cynric into the corner. Chris backs up and charges forward with a knee to the midsection. He whips Cynric into the ropes and knocks him down with a high dropkick. Chris pulls Cynric into a rear chinlock. Cynric forces his way up to his knee and slips out of the hold, sweeping Chris's legs out and backing up to the ropes, hitting an elbow drop. Quicky, Cynric goes outside and climbs to the top rope, jumping for an elbow smash. Chris rolls out of the way.)

Joel: Far too early to be thinking about that kind of high risk move. Cynric needs to have his head in this game.

(Chris pulls Cynric up to his feet and whips him into the corner. He hits a series of kicks to the midsection and chest pulls him into a Cobra Clutch. Cynric fights the hold, but Chris hits the Fall from Grace overhead sitout slam. He covers for a two count.)

(Cynric breaks away and rolls to his feet. He takes Chris down with a spinning heel kick. Chris gets up to his feet fast and misses with a right hand. Cynric ducks under and pulls Chris into a Mexican Stretch and drops down for the Shock Cannon. He covers, but Chris has his foot under the ropes. Cynric argues with the ref as Chris tries to climb to his feet. Chris steps away from the ropes and falls down to one knee. Cynric charges for the Lift Off, but Chris ducks his head under the kick and rolls up to his feet. He pulls Cynric into position for the Angel's Wings, hitting the move and covering for three.)

Winner: Christopher Daniels by pin.

Tara: Cynric almost had that match won.

Joel: Lets take another look at this move.

(A replay of the Shock Cannon is shown.)

Joel: This is a very powerful manuever, and I think Cynric might have had this match put away right here. The only thing in his way, was his own patience. Had he pulled Chris away from the ropes, or hooked the outside leg, he could be getting his hand raised right now.

Tara: Christopher Daniels gains some momentum with that victory, and we're just getting started outselves. We've got two titles up for grabs tonight, be sure not to miss it.

(Commercial break.)

(Backstage, Christopher Daniels is putting his priest-like robes back on. Brother Jim walks in.)

BJ: Congratulations and well done my brother.

Daniels: What th'

BJ: I saw your victory over the heathen Cynric and I came to offer my support in battle to a fellow man of God.

Daniels: Oh...okay.

BJ: Just think, Brother Christopher. Together we can rid this company of its sins and turn it into a true bastion of decency and morality.

Daniels: Good luck with that.

BJ: Thank you and bless you, sir. I'll count on your help in the future.

Daniels: Wait, I never said...

(Brother Jim points to the ankh on Christopher Daniels' collar.)

BJ: You know, I don't know who made this robe for you, but they messed up on the top of the cross. I'd get your money back.

(Brother Jim walks away, Christopher staring after him strangely.)

(In the hallway, the Heel Stable is walking toward Jon Z's office.)

Nykk: Way to show the losers what being a heel is all about, Twins, those masked morons are probably running all they way back to Parts Unknown by now.

Jay: Nothing to it. The secret is to hit them very hard.

Nykk: Hear that, Joey. Take that to heart.

Joey: You got it, boss.

(They walk into Jon's office, Vix tries to head them off.)

Vix: You have an appointment?

Nykk: No. Do you remember what happened last time you had the Pyro Twins walk on either side of you?

(Vix backs up quickly. Jon stands up behind his desk.)

Jon: What the hell do you want?

Nykk: Well, figuring last week I was in a handicap match against the RCW Champion and came out victorious, I'd guess I want the damn RCW Championship. Figure since you're looking at the most dominant force in RCW today, yesterday, tomorrow, anytime, it's only fair. Don't you agree.

Jon: You know what? It might be fair.

Nykk: Good, so when...

Jon: Not to say that you're getting jack squat. I believe I told you before, I'm not dumb enough to give you a title shot again. Fairness or not, there is no system behind making title matches in RCW, I book what the people want to see, I book people who'll give the champion a hard fought match, and I book people, above all, who are not Nykk. You had your day in the sun in FPPVW by stealing victory after victory, and I haven't seen you earn much of anything, and I can guaruntee you, you will never hold the RCW Championship. Now get out of my office.

Nykk: This isn't over.

Jon: If you don't get out of my office, I'll make sure you forget what "over" is.

(Nykk turns away and walks toward the door, the Heel Stable follw after him. In the hallway, Austin Lee slams the door onto Nykk's face. Austin opens it again and pulls Nykk into the hallway, closing it again and putting a chair against the doorknob. Austin starts whipping Nykk into the walls and knocking him around with stiff right hands. He picks Nykk up for the Degenerate Driver, as Dusty kicks through the door and runs out, followed by Jay and Joey. Austin lets Nykk drop to his hands and knees and backs away, dissapearing around a corner. The Heel Stable gives chase except for Nykk, who's busted open and trying to stand up.)

(In the arena, "Simon Says" hits and Swinger makes his way to the ring.)

Tara: Nykk might have to start thinking twice about how he makes enemies around RCW, he was almost taken out by that Degenerate Driver.

Joel: That was disturbing, and almost as disturbing is the fact that Jon Z actually admited that there is no system for determining number one contenders. I think something needs to be done about that.

Tara: Well, whatever is done about that, this match has already been made for the RCW Television Championship.

("Wherever I May Roam" hits and Ronin Fox makes his way to the ring.)

Tara: Ronin Fox looks much more content with gold around his waist, doesn't he?

Ronin Fox vs. Swinger
RCW Television Championship

(Fox and Swinger shake hands and circle each other. They lock up, Fox taking Swinger over in an armdrag. Swinger spins on the canvas and sweeps Fox's legs. He tries to take Fox's leg into a half Boston crab, but Fox turns and catches Swinger in a Body Scissors, forcing him onto the mat. Swinger struggles and reaches the ropes. Fox releases the hold and rolls back to his feet. They shake hands again as the crowd cheers.)

Tara: There's nothing quite like the cheers of a crowd that respects skill. That's something you rarely get on Monday or Thursday nights, you know.

(They lock up again, Swinger ducking under Fox's arm and taking him over in a northern lights suplex. He bridges for a pin, but Fox puts his head down to force his shoulders up. Swinger legs go and stands up for an elbow drop, but Fox rolls out of the way and sweeps Swingers legs out. He locks hands with Swinger on the mat and pulls him up. They have a short test of strength with Fox gaining the upper hand before Swinger uses his foot to break one hand connection and use both of his hands to put Fox into a hammerlock. Fox fights and reverses into an armwringer, backing up to the ropes. Fox climbs up to the second rope and jumps into a flipping armdrag. Swinger rolls to his feet quickly and charges Fox. Fox gets a boot up, but Swinger catches it and throws it back down before hitting a diamond cutter. He covers for a two count, Fox kicking out with autority and kiping up to his feet as Swinger stands. The crowd erupts again.)

(They shake hands again, Swinger holding on and pulling Fox into a side headlock, and putting him on the mat with a headlock takedown. Fox slips out and grabs Swinger's arm, pulling him into a La Magistrol pin. Swinger kicks out at one and breaks away, getting to his feet and hitting a dropkick to the still kneeling Fox's head. Swinger pulls Fox to his feet and tries to whip him. Fox reverses the whip into the corner and charges with a hard shoulderblock. Fox points across the ring and whips Swinger to the opposite corner. Fox charges with a hard clothesline. He then whips Swinger sidewise into a new corner for another shoulderblock, and opposite for a final clothesline. Swinger collapses in the corner as Fox signals for a Tail End.)

Tara: Fox just took Swinger around the world, and looks like he's about to put this challenge away.

Joel: He's taking too much time, this is going to bite him on the tail here.

(Swinger stands up and Fox charges for the Tail End. Swinger holds Fox up and dumps him on the ropes crotch first.)

Joel: What did I tell you.

(Swinger stumbles away as Fox falls off the ropes into the ring. Fox stands and misses a right hand to Swinger. Swinger ducks under and grabs Fox in a Cobra Clutch.)

Tara: He's going for the Swing Thing! We could have a new champion right here.

(Fox runs pulls Swinger toward the corner and walks up the turnbuckles, flipping backwards out of the Cobra Clutch and catching Swinger with a reverse DDT. He covers for the three count.)

Winner: Ronin Fox by pin.

Tara: Wow, amazing reversal there, Ronin Fox just pulled off a modified version of his Fox Fire.

Joel: Impressive, but rather frightening how close he had to come to the Swing Thing to get it.

Tara: Just listen to this crowd though, they're blown away and with good reason. What a contest.

Joel: We've got another title match later tonight as Colt Cabana challenges RCW Champion Alan Mayse. This has become a huge night.

Tara: Damn right, and we're just past the half way mark. Stay with us.

(Commercial break.)

(Vix puts down several papers on Jon Z's desk.)

Vix: Who do you suggest for the next Ladies' Champion contender?

Jon: Well, with Shadow's actions lately I know our ladies are going to be clamoring to face her. I heard Kumiko Indohara is dying to get into the ring with her.

Vix: She has so many other commitments the next few months though. She'll be able to work on November Pain, but she won't be around to promote it.

Jon: Hmm...that's tricky. Perhaps we need to take a step back and evaluate the entire roster. Instead of a Ladies Championship match we have a number one contenders elimination match. Winner among Naomi Leach, Kumiko Indohara, Lisa Letty, Jade, Concession Girl, and Mary Alice Latino will face Shadow at Darkest Night.

Vix: I think I can get that set up easily.

Jon: Get on that, then.

(Vix walks away, Jon turns toward a monitor with the arena feed on it.)

Jon: Vix?

Vix: (Offscreen) Yes?

Jon: What do you think we should do about Nykk? Do you think it's right to keep him away from the title?

Vix: The further away he is from a belt, and me, the better.

Jon: That's what I thought.

(In the arena, "Victims of Hardstyle" hits and Insane Dragon makes his way to the ring.)

Tara: Here's a man the television audience hasn't seen a whole lot of yet, but a man who's been impressing RCW crowds at live events ever since he was hired, Insane Dragon.

Joel: There isn't enough time in one weekly show to truely showcase all the amazing talent in RCW, which is why staring next month, This Week in RCW will start featuring the best live event matches throughout every week. Be sure to check your local listings for times, and if you don't get it now, demand it!

("Let's All Go to the Lobby" hits and Mercandising Inc. makes thier way to the ring, selling "Colt Cabana Classic" T-Shirts.)

Tara: Those shirts have been surprisingly big sellers lately. I thought the crowd couldn't stand Colt Cabana, and yet he seems to have a very loyal fanbase mixed in.

Joel: Many fans have followed him through his impressing and ongoing career in Ring of Honor, where there also seemed to be a surprising number of Coltists.

Tara: Well the whole Concession Clan is coming down, but today it's to be one on one action with the apprentice "pretzelhopper" of Concession Boy III.

Insane Dragon vs. Concession Boy III

(Concession Boy III takes control for an extended time but misses a Mighty Mint Elbow as Insane Dragon rolls away and hits the Kawada Kick, covering for three.)

Winner: Insane Dragon by pin.

Tara: Insane Dragon with that brutal Kawada Kick has taken the victory. It seems the Concession Boys are having a bit of bad luck of late.

Joel: And yet sales are way up.

Tara: We'll be back with an RCW Championship Match. Don't go anywhere.

(Commercial break.)

(Backstage, Fox walks out of a lover room in street clothes. The RCW TV Title is on his shoulder. He turns a corner and comes face to face with Austin Lee. There is a long silence.)

Fox: Need anything?

Austin: No...

Fox: Then why are you in my way?

(Austin steps aside and Fox starts to walk past.)

Austin: Look, things have changed quite a bit...

(Fox stops and looks back.)

Fox: The only think I've seen change is you gettind dropped from your group. You've proved nothing to me besides the fact that even your supposed friends hate you.

(Austin looks angry, but gradually calms himself and walks away. Fox continues on his way.)

(In another locker room, Alan Mayse is sitting in a chair, staring into his locker. The RCW Championship belt is hanging inside. He stands up slowly and picks it up, never taking his eyes off the center plate as he walks out.)

(In the arena, "Copa Cabana" hits and Colt Cabana makes his way to the ring.)

Tara: What was with the look on Alan's face back there?

Joel: He may have just snapped. Perhaps thinking he's looking at that belt for the last time.

(The crowd starts a "Colt Cabana" chant.)

Tara: Listen to that. I can't believe Colt has this kind of support here against our RCW Champion.

Joel: He does have a following all his own, they've followed him from Ring of Honor.

Tara: Maybe this too is getting to Alan Mayse.

("Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring.)

Joel: For the second time, Alan Mayse puts his gold on the line against Colt Cabana. We'll bring you this match in it's entirety, next.

(Commercial break.)

(Colt Cabana and Alan Mayse stand face to face as the ref calls for the starting bell.)

Alan Mayse vs. Colt Cabana
RCW Champtionship Match

(Colt and Alan actually shake hands then lock up. Colt takes Alan down with a side headlock. Alan slips out quickly and pulls Colt up and into position for an inverted DDT. Colt kicks his legs out onto the ropes and launches himself over Alan, reversing into an inverted DDT of his own. He makes the cover for two before Alan kicks out and rolls to the outside. He looks pissed.)

Tara: I think Colt really took Alan by surprise here. Only a couple moves into the match and it seems Colt has the champion running.

Joel: Don't declare a victor yet, Alan's just resetting the tone right now. He slowed things down so he can speen them up himself. Any champion will tell you that setting the pace for a match is a key to defending your belt.

(Alan slides in and circles Colt. They lock up again, Alan goes behind into a waistlock. Colt struggles and performs a standing switch. He tries to lift Alan up for a German suplex, but Alan reverses into a victory roll. Instead of covering for the pin, Alan sets Colt on his back and tries to lock on the Maysochist. Colt gets to the ropes before it's locked on and the ref gets Alan to back off. Colt gets back to his feet and lunges forward. He whips Alan to the ropes and misses with a clothesline. Alan runs the ropes and misses with a running dropkick as Colt ducks and rolls to the side. Alan stands and ducks away from a running knee smash. Alan pushes Colt into the corner and backs up, hitting a quick running dropkick to the chest. He lifts Colt onto the top turnbuckle and sets up for a superplex. Colt blocks and pushes Alan off to the mat. Alan lands on his feet and Colt turns and stands up to hit a moonsault, taking Alan down and covering for two. Alan kicks out and rolls to the other side of the ring. Standing up and looking extremely angry.)

Tara: Alan can not get Colt under control in this match. He has yet to put Colt in a single near fall situation.

(Alan charges Colt, but Colt sidesteps a right hand. Alan turns immediately after and scores with a roundhouse kick. He pulls Colt into an exploder suplex, and nearly goes for the cover. Instead, he backs up and climbs the ropes. He goes for a moonsault but Colt rolls out of the way.)

Tara: What is he doing? He had Colt down already, why go for that high risk.

Joel: Well, he must have figured that Colt still had some fight in him, obviously he was right.

(Colt and Alan get to thier feet. Colt pulls Alan into position for a northern lights suplex into the corner, but Alan knees Colt in the head and puts him into position for a Tiger Bomb. He hits the move and covers, but Colt's foot is on the bottom rope. The ref tells him to break the pin, and Alan gets up and drags Colt to the center of the ring, covering again. Colt kicks out at two.)

(Alan starts throwing a fit, kicking at the ropes. Colt slowly stands up, and Alan tries to whip him into the corner. Colt reverses the whip and pulls Alan into a fireman's carry neckbreaker. He stands up and watches as Alan gets up to his knee. Colt pulls Alan into a double underhook, and calls for the Colt .45. He lifts Alan up and hits the Colt .45, covering for a pin. On the count of two, the ref is pulled out of the ring.)

Joel: What th'...

(Rico Cassanova gets up on the apron as Colt Cabana stands up, thinking he's just won the match. Rico hits a slingshot shoulder block and starts throwing right hands on Colt. He lifts Colt up and hits the Casanovator, and runs off. The ref stands and calls for the bell.)

Winner: Colt Cabana by disqualification.

Tara: Rico Cassanova just made his impact! He just cost Colt Cabana the RCW Championship. I hate to say it, but I have to admit it. Colt Cabana was a second away from becoming the RCW Champion.

Joel: Colt himself told Rico to make an impact, but I doubt he's feeling proud of his former tag partner at the moment.

Tara: What is this going to do to Alan Mayse? He just looked at loss in the face, how is he going to respond next week on Foundation? This is all the time we've got, see you next week!
