("Prayer" opening. Jon Z makes his way to the ring. The set has been modified with a large "Foundation" logo to the left of the entrance curtain and a square screen to the right of it.)
Tara: We hope you have a great holiday, we're back to work in RCW to help you prepare for the new year. It's been a strong year for us here, so many milestones have passed in 2004, including one week ago when this man stepped into an RCW ring for the first and possibly last time as a competitor. We're looking at Jon here here to address this crowd, and you're listening to Tara Fisher, once again alongside Joel Gertner.
Joel: For the last time in 2004 I'm set for an action packed Foundation. Jon Z kicking things off with an announcement that he promised on This Week in RCW would rock RCW, much like I rock all the...
Tara: We talked about that, remember?
Joel: Damn.
(Jon steps into the ring with a mic and waits for the crowd to quiet. Numerous Jon chants are heard.)
Jon: After last week, there's really only one thing I can say. Thank you.
(The crowd erupts in "Thank You Jon" chants.)
Jon: I was a little afraid of getting back in this ring. Not afraid of what could happen physically, but afraid of how you people would accept the owner of the company facing off against it's champion. We've seen it before, to various effect, and the last thing I wanted was to take time and attention that I didn't deserve. When I got in that ring, and the good fans that night embraced me, I knew it was the right decision, the best decision I could have made. I came up on the losing end, but no one can take away what I gained that night. I gained my own respect, knowing that I don't have to back down, that I can look my fears in the face. Whether I ever lace up those boots again or not, I don't know, but I'll tell you this...I can, and if the time is right I'll be ready. That's not what I'm here to talk about tonight though. Tonight I've prepared an announcement that is going to rock RCW! This is an announcement that concerns an entire locker room, and will push this company and its championship to new levels! Starting next week, and leading all the way up to WrestlingRevolution II, I am...
(He is interrupted when "Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring, followed by Joey Sprinklers and the Pyro Twins.)
Nykk: Wow! Golly gee! There's only one thing to say now. Thank you! Thank you!
(The crowd erupts in boos)
Nykk: You know, I was afraid last week too. I wasn't afraid of losing this title...well I was a little afraid it wouldn't show up in baggage claim. I wasn't afraid of losing a match or getting hurt. I too was afraid of the crowd's reaction. I mean, when those people saw me in that ring, beating the hell out of a retired cripple? I had no idea how they'd react, but then I remembered a lovely letter one of my great fans wrote me. What did that letter say, Joey? I can't rememeber exactly.
Joey: Uh...hope you die?
Nykk: That's right! Wow, what a kidder. That's what reminded me I couldn't worry too much about what the fans think, I just have to go out there and do what I do, which is stomp down on anyone stupid enough to think they have a chance to carry this gold. The other thing I do, however, is entertain the masses, which I intend to do right now with a special New Year's edition of The Nykk Show! So Jon, if you'll be so kind as to shut your mouth, straighten your tie, and bow out of my ring, you can save your little announcement for another time.
(Jon leans against the ropes as the Heel Stable gathers in the aisle right in front of the ring. Jon shrugs and backs up, leaving the ring to the side as the Stable slides in the front. Jon walks around to the aisle.)
Jon: Go ahead and have your fun, my announcement will take place later on, but since you're out here, I think it's time we talked about a little matter of a title match.
Nykk: You can forget that, Jon. I'm so tired from carrying your ass last week I think I've earned a week off. If you go back and take a look at my latest contract I think you'll notice any title matches taking place within seven days of another are strictly at my discression, not yours.
Jon: You know, that's fine, because I wasn't talking to you. Jay? Dusty? When was the last time you defended those tag team titles on Foundation?
Joel: Wow, that's a good damn question. The last time I remember seeing those belts defended on television were back in November. They've been on the line several times at live events, but on Foundation, it's been quite awhile.
Dusty: Well, Jon, there's a little problem with us defending these titles too often. Quite frankly it gets boring. You want us to put the belts up, fine, but against who? The Eccentrics are gone. Every other tag team you've put together we've driven into the dirt. Who's left?
Jay: Tell you what Jon, I feel lucky tonight. We'll accept the challenge of any team that wants to step into this ring, on one condition! It must be a team that we have never faced before.
Tara: That doesn't leave much, I think they've faced and beaten every regular team that's come through RCW.
Joel: Plus some not so regular ones.
Jon: I think that can be arranged, Jay. Get yourselves ready.
(Jon leaves.)
Tara: But what's the announcement?
Nykk: Now that he's gone, lets turn to other matters. You see, when you look into the ring right now, there's a color that stands out. Gold. The RCW Championship. The RCW Tag Team Championships. More than half of the title belts in this company all gathered right here. Now the only problem with that is that gold starts to fuel a hunger. You get some, you want it all. When I took the Heel Stable back, I wanted to make it better than ever, I wanted it more powerful than ever. To do that, I want more than half the titles, I want them all gathered right here.
(Joey looks excited.)
Nykk: I'm putting out an invitation. To anyone in that locker room who wants to accept this challenge, listen close. Two titles are out of our grasp. The RCW Television Championship and the Ladies RCW Championship. Anyone who wants to pledge themselves to the most dominant force in this promotion, those are the entry fees. You win one of those titles, all you have to do is bring them to us and you'll stand shoulder to shoulder with the elite.
(Joey taps Nykk's shoulder and motions toward his waist.)
Nykk: Hey, don't play with that, we might have a lady in the group soon.
(Joey shakes his head and keeps motioning, leaning close enough to talk into the mic.)
Joey: No, no, the TV title. That's all mine man, I can take it! I can get it!
(Nykk stares at him for a moment and turns toward the camera again.)
Nykk: Anyone who gains those titles, come on over and stand with the Heels!
("Sad But True" plays as the Heel Stable leave the ring.)
Tara: Joey seems a little dissapointed by Nykk's reaction.
Joel: Well it can't be easy being the only man in the stable who's not carrying a belt. I suppose it's only natural he'd want to prove himself by taking the RCW Television Championship.
Tara: I notice Nykk didn't bother to invite the current champion, as if Ronin Fox would think of joining up with the Heel Stable.
Joel: Perhaps Shadow though. With the strange relationship between her and Naomi Leach, who knows. Perhaps Shadow would like to stand with the Heels.
Tara: We'll hear from Naomi Leach later on, hopefull to get a little insight into what went on after her match with Shadow at Darkest Night. We also might see a Tag Team Championship match, provided Jon Z can find a team that the Pyro Twins have yet to face.
Joel: Cynric will be in action against his old rival Brother Jim, he's looking to regain momentum after missing his shot at his brother's title last week.
Tara: All this and Jason Lee makes his Foundation debut against Insane Dragon, and a huge announcement from RCW CEO Jon Z. Stay with us.
(Zac Hensley stands by at the RCW News Desk.)
Zac: RCW fans, this is Zac Hensley from RCW's update, stay tuned for after the commercial for some breaking news concerning RCW's future on television and the situation backstage that almost broke this promotion down in the middle of it's brightest days. We'll be right back.
(Commercial break)
("Victims of Hardstyle" hits and Insane Dragon makes his way to the ring.)
Tara: Welcome back to Foundation. We're joined from back at the RCW news desk by Zac Hensley. Go ahead Zac.
Zac: Well, as this match starts, I would like to break the silence about a situation that has been developing behind the scenes here in RCW for the past few weeks. We here at RCW would like to thank the fans for making this past month the most watched and the most profitable month in the promotion's history, however our success was almost marred by corruption that has only recently come to the surface. It was discovered last last week that several members of the RCW board of directors were involved in a scheme to steal funds from the company, hiding the money by inventing extra expenses that filtered money straight from the fans paying for our tickets and merchandise into thier pockets. It almost went by totally unnoticed but luckily a newly hired accountant was able to sense something very wrong.
("Disarm" hits and Jason Lee makes his way to the ring.)
Zac: When the whole story came to light to the other members of the board, and to CEO Jon Z a massive court battle seemed right around the corner. This has turned out not to be the case, as the offending party has agreed to settle out of court and resign here in RCW. With this potential disaster averted and the true figures from this month being calculated, it appears that RCW is even more of a success than previously thought. This is also coinciding with a number of changes with the network. For that news however, I'll turn things back over to you.
Tara: Thanks Zac, we'll fill everyone in after this match concludes.
Insane Dragon vs. Jason Lee
(Dragon circles around Lee, not sure what to make of the change in his demeanor as Lee has once again gone from a smiling friendly charming man to an emotionless focussed one. They lock up, Lee overpowering Dragon and backing him into the ropes. Lee launches Dragon to the ropes but gets knocked down with a running leg lariat. Lee yells out angrily and gets to his feet quickly only to be knocked down by a moonsault dropkick. Lee stands up again as Dragon whips him to the corner. Dragon charges in but Lee gets a leg up and hits a wicked looking boot to the head. He immediatly applies a half Boston crab as his face calms down again. As he pulls back on Dragon's leg, Lee shifts off of Dragon's back and changes into a side bow and arrow. Lee lets go and releases a series of stiff knees to the back. Dragon fights to get to his feet and Lee whips him into the corner. Dragon leaps to the top rope and hops to turn around. Lee charges forward and leaps up as well, catching Dragon and jumping back for a spinning top rope spinebuster. Lee sits for a long moment, his eyes closed, seemingly very relaxed. He stands up again and pulls Dragon up into a fireman's carry. He hits his shoulderbreaker/spinebuster combination and covers for a three count.)
Winner: Jason Lee by pin.
Tara: That same move took down Apollo Khan at Darkest Night. I heard him call it Sic Semper.
Joel: It's certainly death to anyone who feels it so far.
Tara: But just the begining for Jason Lee here in RCW, right as things are getting ready to explode in RCW. Ladies and Gentlemen, rumors have been circulating for some time we know about the future of Foundation. Some people have speculated that Foundation would not last for long based on Fox Sports Digital, and they weren't very far off. Fox Television has been watching very closely at the progress of Foundation, and they've noticed our ratings have pretty much grown as much as they can grow in a digital cable exclusive station. They're taking a chance, and we hope a good one, by putting us on network television. Thats right, starting next week, Tuesday January 4, Foundation will be on Fox Network Television. We'll be on late, most markets will see us at 11pm or midnight. Check your local listings. For those of you who want to keep up with us at an earlier hour you can tune in for the replay right here on Fox Sports Digital Wedesdays at 7. Check your listings for This Week in RCW as well, as it will be expanding into new markets and times.
(Backstage, Shadow is sitting, examining the Ladies RCW Championship Belt as if meditating. Naomi Leach is sitting nearby facing the camera.)
Naomi: Many of you are confused. That's to be expected. I can't say I understood it myself at first. When I won the Ladies RCW Championship at Darkest Night 2003 I looked at myself and wondered, what's left for me? How can I go further in this company and in this business. I realized that for any Champion, you must play a losing game. You can only last so long with that belt before time or another opponent catches up with you. Eventually you have to pass that title on, or retire. What happens after that? Another Champion takes your place, and you end up forgotten. Like it or not, there is no immortality in this business. Even the great names of the past that fans still talk about are really nothing more than names, with nothing but a speck of the meaning they once had...Once I realized this, it was only a matter of time before I found the way out. I could become the title itself, and through it go on in greatness. Anyone with the proper work and dedication can make themselves win at least once, but to achieve greatness and through it make something even greater? That is the key. Some would be content to one time become a champion. I MADE a champion. I created a force in wrestling so great that not even I could stand against it. I may not hold the belt any longer, but the hands that do hold it are there because of me. No one will ever forget the importance of Naomi Leach. Even if my name itself is lost, someone will hold up this belt, and there will I be remembered.
(Commercial break.)
("Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring.)
Tara: Welcome back again. We're set for our second match of the night, and I'm still trying to figure out what the hell Naomi Leach was talking about before the break. All of this time, Naomi Leach has been preping Shadow to be her successor? Yet once Shadow finally wins the title, Naomi doesn't want to step aside, she's taking credit for all of Shadow's work. She even claims to be the title itself whatever that means.
Joel: Was she saying that, I was distracted by something.
Tara: Why doesn't that shock me.
("Personal Jesus" hits and Brother Jim makes his way to the ring.)
Joel: Brother Jim's hair is finally getting a bit on the longish side.
Tara: Thanks to the match Cynric won earlier this year, Brother Jim is no longer allowed to cut his hair. He tries it then he's out of a job here in RCW.
Joel: It looks a little nappy, I don't think he quite knows how to keep a head of hair like that clean.
Cynric vs. Brother Jim
(BJ yells at Cynric, pointing to his hair. Cynric just smiles and shrugs. When the two lock up, BJ grabs a handfull of Cynric's hair for a takedown and locks on an armbar. Cynric pushes himself up and to his feet, bending BJ's arm back and applying a hammerlock. Holding on for a few moments he grabs a handfull of BJ's hair for a takedown of his own. BJ yelps in pain and rolls out of the ring.)
Tara: I don't think BJ realized how much that hurt, no one's been able to grab it that easily before.
(BJ climbs up on the apron and starts arguing with some of the fans at ringside. Cynric backs up into the ropes and charges forward. He misses a clothesline when BJ ducks back away from it. While Cynric is against the ropes BJ hits a quick kick to the head and hangs Cynric neck first on the top rope to launch him back. With Cynric on the mat BJ springboards into the Leap of Faith and covers for a two count.)
(Cynric rolls toward the ropes and stands up as BJ charges. Cynric backdrops him to the apron and runs the ropes. Cynric goes for a dive through the ropes, and BJ sidesteps to avoid it. Cynric crashes on the floor and BJ slips into the ring to run the ropes and attempt a plancha. Cynric catches him, slipping to one knee and standing up again. He turns and drops BJ chest first on the guardrail and slips in the ring to break the count. The ref admonishes Cynric for using the guardrail. While the ref isn't looking Huh runs to ringside with a chair. He aims a swing at BJ, but BJ ducks away quickly and rolls in the ring. He points to Huh and yells for him to leave. Cynric steps up behind BJ and spins him around to hit the Shock Cannon and cover for three.)
Winner: Cynric by pin.
Joel: Chalk up a win for Cynric, but give the assist to Huh. He drove BJ back into the ring for Cynric to finish off.
(Huh slides into the ring and tries to hit BJ again. BJ rolls out of the ring to avoid the chair and quickly runs to the back. Cynric stops Huh and they argue in the ring.)
Tara: Looks like Cynric didn't want any assistance.
Joel: Cynric is trying to build a reputation for himself, and that's hard to do when the powers that be see someone else fighting your battle, even though Huh never put a hand on Brother Jim.
Tara: He never had a chance, the brother too quick for him, another day going by with no retribution for his actions toward Cheesecake.
(Huh backs away from Cynric and walks to the back, cracking his knuckles as he yells for Brother Jim to come back.)
(Backstage, Kevin Stone is walking through the halls. Joey Sprinklers walks up and stops him.)
Joey: Kevin, old buddy. What's going on?
Kevin: What the hell do you want?
Joey: I just haven't seen much of you lately. I mean, since you left the Stable things looked up for you for a bit but lately, I mean, you're almost never on Foundation anymore. You even booked tonight?
(Kevin tries to just keep walking.)
Joey: No huh? Just another night along for the ride, like while you and Cynric teamed up? Hm. Cynric's been getting some press though. His match with Fox, his success the past few weeks. I mean, that win over Chad Collyer was huge. What's in the future for you?
Kevin: If there's a point, get to it so I can get out of here.
Joey: The point, is it isn't too late. You heard Nykk out there tonight. Ever think what it'd be like to go back in? Be a Heel again? Imagine being welcomed back after winning the RCW Television Championship.
Kevin: What I do is not now nor will it ever be any business of the Stable. If I get a shot at that title, damn right I'll do what it takes to bring it home, but it sure as hell won't be for you or for that bastard Nykk.
(Kevin walks past. Joey looks after him.)
Joey: Hmm. Wonder if Cynric feels the same...
(Commercial break.)
(Backstage, Ronin Fox is standing by with Zac Hensley.)
Zac: Ronin Fox. Earlier tonight we heard from Nykk and the Heel Stable. They said they were looking to add the two remaining titles to thier ranks, including the RCW Television Title you successfully defended last week at Darkest Night. What do you have to say about that.
Fox: Just when I get to enjoy having a sportmanlike match, Nykk has to stand up and put a bullseye on this belt so any lowlife who needs to prove himself by standing up with even bigger asses is going to be gunning for me. You know what? Fine. Anyone wants a shot at this, I'll be waiting. I haven't backed down once since I won this belt. Nykk you think you can just snatch this away for your collection? I notice you're not challenging me for it. Until you grow a set and try yourself...I suppose I can handle knocking down your would be lackeys.
(Fox walks away.)
("Smoke on the Water" hits and Kevin Stone makes his way to the ring.)
Joel: Did Fox just challenge the RCW Champion?
Tara: That sounds right to me, they've had some wars in the past back in FPPVW. Although Fox never held the FPPVW or RCW titles, he does have a number of wins over Nykk.
Joel: Would Nykk take his focus off his own title to pick up a new one though?
Tara: That may be a question for another night, for now, we have Kevin Stone on his way down for action.
("One Step Closer" hits and Chris Stylez makes his way to the ring.)
Kevin Stone vs. Chris Stylez
(Chris takes an early advantage with an armdrag followed by a double underhook backbreaker and a one arm camel clutch. Kevin powers up underneath Chris, who tries to bring Kevin back down with a sleeper hold. Kevin backs up into the corner hard to break up the hold and turns around to pick up Chris for a military press into a powerslam. He backs up and hits a spear when Chris stands. Kevin covers for two. Chris rolls under the bottom rope and stands up to hit a slingshot corkscrew press, getting a one count. Chris rolls off and goes to the top rope. Kevin stands and catches Chris after an attempted high cross body. Kevin shifts Chris's weight and tosses him back to hit the Stonecutter for three.)
Winner: Kevin Stone by pin.
Tara: It appears as though what Joey Sprinklers said backstage has not gotten to Kevin Stone. He was focussed in that match.
Joel: You don't know for sure why he was focussed. For all you know, he's showing the RCW officials just what he might offer in a RCW Television Championship Match.
Tara: Perhaps, but even that doesn't mean he would consider rejoining the Heel Stable.
Joel: We'll have to wait and see who takes Nykk up on his offer and when. Coming up next though, Jon Z finally makes his big announcement. Stay with us.
Tara: Didn't that used to be my line?
(Commercial break.)
("Prayer" hits and Jon Z makes his way to the ring.)
Joel: I can't wait for this.
Tara: We've been waiting all night for this, Nykk made us wait longer than we had to.
Jon: As I was saying earlier!
Joel: No one freaking interrupt him now.
Jon: Tonight I will make an announcement that will affect the entire locker room, right up until May 15 when we present WrestlingRevolution II. You see, WrestlingRevolution will have a lot to live up to. Even though the first one was not even on Pay Per View, it is obvious to me and I believe everyone who witnesssed it, that it deserved to be, and it was a driving force in getting us there. Therefore it stands to reason that for WrestlingRevolution II we deserve to have the best number one contender for the RCW Championship we possibly can. This coming year, 2005, we will introduce the grandest tournament in all of professional wrestling. The Road to the Revolution!
Tara: A tournament? That's what this is about?
Jon: Starting next week, and leading all the way to the finals on April 16 at Countdown on Pay Per View, this tournament will guaruntee that the man who challenges for the RCW Championship will give the fans the best match possible.
Joel: April? What kind of tournament is this? I don't know another tournament in wrestling that lasts that long.
Jon: If I can get your attention over by the new megascreen, you'll see the tournament brackets laid out.
(The planning brackets for the tournament are shown, no names have been added to it yet.)
Jon: Double elimination, thirty men, incorporating the infamous Four Corner Gauntlet and a new Tag Team War, you will watch the best names in this business put everything on the line to earn thier chance at greatness. Round one, each competitor will be placed in a three man round robin cell, and that's only the begining. You can look up the full details at PPVrenegade.com, or tune in this Friday for This Week in RCW. Now believe it or not, that's not the only huge thing I have to announce. Once I settled on the details of this tournament, I came up with a realization. This will require thirty men, and RCW was just slightly short on available numbers. Because of that, this past week RCW has set itself up for the biggest acquisition of talent in the company's history. New and returning stars will arriving in the next month that will make the strongest locker room in wrestling even stronger. The first debut from this hiring spree will arrive next week on Foundation, on our first episode of the new year and the first Foundation on the Fox network. Thank you.
("Fuel" hits and the Pyro Twins make thier way to the ring.)
Tara: The RCW Tag Team Champions out here for the second time. They agreed earlier to put thier titles on the line against a team they have yet to face.
Joel: We haven't heard any more from Jon on the matter though. I hope he found somebody.
Jay: Well, Jon? It's getting a little late in the day. You have someone for us to face, or do we get a vacation?
Jon: Well, it was a long search, but I think we just may be able to accomidate you. These two men have been in the ring with you in the past in singles and six man matches and so forth, but have yet to face you for those Tag Team Titles.
(Jon steps out of the ring and stands on the apron as the Pyro Twins slide inside from the side.)
Jon: Ladies and Gentlemen, your challengers for this evening, Alan Mayse and Austin Lee!
Joel: What?
("Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse and Austin Lee make thier way to the ring.)
Tara: A former RCW Champion and a former leader of the Heel Stable. I doubt the Pyro Twins were prepared for this.
(Alan and Austin slide in the ring and stand in the center of the ring, staring down Jay and Dusty.)
The Pyro Twins vs. Alan Mayse and Austin Lee
RCW Tag Team Championship Match
(Alan and Austin argue for a few seconds over who is going to start. Jay tries to charge in with a double clothesline to take advantage, but both duck and spin Jay around for a double DDT. Austin rolls out of the ring as Alan pulls Jay up and whips him to the corner, hitting a clothesline and a bulldog. Dusty runs in and hits Alan from behind with a double axhandle. Austin springboards off the top rope to hit a shoulder block that sends Dusty through the ropes to the floor. Austin stands up and gets hit with a spinning heel kick from Jay that sends him out to the floor, landing right next to Dusty. Alan tries to whip Jay into the opposite corner, but Jay reverses and launches Alan into the ropes. Alan jumps to the top rope and tries to jump back with a leg lariat. Jay ducks under it and runs the ropes. Alan lands on his feet but gets caught in a running STO. Jay covers for a two count.)
(Jon Z, who has stayed at ringside, walks to the broadcast position.)
Tara: We're being joined by Jon Z. Welcome back to the broadcast booth, boss.
Jon: It's good to be back. I wish I could find my way out here more often.
Joel: It's a pleasure to see you work, sir.
Jon: Don't kiss up.
(Jay pulls Alan to a sitting position and locks on a half nelson. Alan reaches back and trips Jay, and stands, running the ropes and hitting a dropkick to the jaw when Jay sits up. Jay rolls backward to his corner and tags in Dusty. Dusty charges at Alan, who ducks a right hand and runs the ropes again. Dusty ducks down and Alan leapfrogs over. When Alan rebounds again, Dusty catches him in an arm drag and transitions to a hammerlock. Alan tries to fight out of it, but Dusty forces him to the corner and tags in Jay. Dusty pulls Alan back for him and Jay to perform a double leg trip followed by the Compactor dropkicks. Alan rolls toward the ropes and holds on to the bottom rope as the ref tries to get Dusty out of the ring. Jay pulls Alan toward the middle of the ring by one leg and starts kicking at Alan's thigh to weaken the leg. Austin gets in the ring and tries to break Jay and Alan up, but the ref stops him and orders him out of the ring. He quickly slides out, just as Dusty rushes in and tries to attack Alan. Austin rushes around the ring to draw the ref's attention behind him. The ref catches Dusty and orders him back to the corner. The two of them argue as Austin slips in again and pulls Jay into a hangman's neckbreaker. Austin rolls out of the ring as Alan rolls over and covers Jay. The ref turns after a few moments and makes a two count.)
Tara: The Pyro Twins trying some old fashioned misdirection, but it's backfiring on them.
Jon: We've seen this before. Austin Lee mastered those tactics and he hasn't forgotten them since leaving the Heel Stable.
Joel: The RCW Tag Team Championships are in jeopardy here, and we have to take a break. We'll be right back.
(Commercial break.)
(Jay has Alan in a triangle hold in the middle of the ring. Austin is trying to rally the crowd.)
Tara: We're back with the RCW Tag Team Championships on the line. Jay Crowe, representing the champs has challenger Alan Mayse locked up far away from his partner.
(A replay is shown of Alan attempting an Irish whip and getting pulled into a judo arm throw. Another replay shows Austin rush into the ring and get nailed by a hard knee to the midsection by Dusty as Jay locks on the triangle hold. From there, the camera goes back to live action, Alan attempting to power out of the hold.)
Joel: As exciting as this is, imagine what it would be like to see the RCW Championship defended here tonight. It's too bad about Nykk's contract stipulation.
Jon: That was an unfortunate concession to be made, and it may have robbed the crowd here from seeing a very intereting match. Just today I talked to one of the competitors who will be entered into the Road to the Revolution Tournament, and realized that some fans have waited nearly a year to see him face Nykk one on one.
Tara: And who would that be, exactly?
Jon: Now, now, Tara. Let a man keep some secrets.
Tara: I don't think you have a shortage.
(Alan fights up to his feet, Jay transitioning to a hammer lock. Alan tries to reach for a tag, but Jay pulls him back into a side headlock and into a takedown. Jay then rolls off and tags in Dusty who climbs to the top rope. Jay picks up Alan and hits a backbreaker to set up for the Mandate of Heaven kneedrop. Dusty pulls Alan up and whips him into the ropes, catching him in a flapjack. He covers for two, Austin running in to break up the pin. The ref pulls Austin off, and Austin quickly exits again. This time, however, Dusty hits him with a baseball slide that sends Austin into the guardrail. Dusty picks Austin up and throws a right hand. Austin fights back and a brawl begins as Jay gets into the ring and picks Alan up to hit the Overhaul. Dusty ducks a wild right hand and picks Austin up for the Rope Burn, hitting it on the announce table, denting it, but not breaking it. Dusty slides in as the ref admonishes him and causally covers Alan. The ref counts two before Alan gets one foot on the bottom rope.)
Joel: I can't believe that. That almost worked perfectly, the ref distracted, Alan's partner is still out on the floor.
Tara: That last part might mean it's just a matter of time now. Even being a former champion, no one man can stand up against both Pyro Twins at once.
(Dusty tags in Jay and they get into position for Final Darkness. Alan ducks Jay's spinning heel kick and uses his momentum from the leg sweep to roll out of the ring. The ref begins the count as Jay rolls after Alan. He picks Alan up and rams him headfirst into the ringpost, busting him open. Jay tries to shove Alan into the ring, but Alan uses the last of his strength to pull Jay away from the ring and whip him toward the guardrail. Jay collapses against the guardrail backfirst but quickly stands up again. Taking a moment to steady himself he starts walking toward Alan again. Before he can reach him, Austin pulls himself onto the broadcast table and leaps off, catching Jay in a bulldog on the floor. Austin quickly stumbles over to Alan and rolls him in the ring to break the count at 8. Dusty tries to hit another baseball slide, but Austin sidesteps him and pulls him out, hitting a snap suplex on the floor. Austin rolls into the ring and drags Alan to the corner, stepping out in order to tag back in.)
(Jay rolls into the ring and stands up, immediately getting knocked down by a clothesline. Dusty climbs in and gets hit with a spinning heel kick. Jay stands up and sidesteps a dropkick from Austin. Austin stands and gets pulled into a belly to belly suplex. As the ref checks on Alan, who has propped himself into a sitting position in the corner, Jay and Dusty position themselves around Austin for another attempt at Final Darkness.)
(Alan stands back up and climbs halfway out of the ring, leading the ref to turn back to the action in the ring. Alan sees the setup and climbs right back in the ring. He charges at Dusty and hits him with a clothesline just as Austin stands and Jay charges. Austin ducks the spinning heel kick, Jay landing unsteadily on one knee and standing up. Alan stands and shoves Jay from behind. Austin catches Jay and picks him up to hit the Degenerate Driver. Dusty tries to crawl toward Austin but Alan hits an elbow drop and holds onto him as Austin covers Jay for a three count.)
Winners: Austin Lee and Alan Mayse by pin.
Tara: Degenerate Driver! Austin Lee gets the pinfall! We have brand new RCW Tag Team Champions!
Joel: This is incredible. The first team to topple the Pyro Twins in RCW.
Jon: I knew they could do it. If you'll excuse me.
(Jon leaves the broadcast table to enter the ring and congratulate the new champions. Jay and Dusty roll out of the ring and stay against the guardrails, conferring with each other, trying to figure out where they went wrong.)
(Alan and Austin celebrate in the ring before going into the crowd and letting themselves be mobbed by the fans.)
("Destroy" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring. He's in his ring gear and holding a microphone.)
Nykk: No, no, that's not how we're going to end things here tonight!
(He rolls into the ring.)
Nykk: Jay? Dusty? Get your asses in here!
(Jay and Dusty climb back into the ring.)
Nykk: What the hell did I tell you last week? You've been losing singles matches to morons, you've been getting soft on your title defenses, and now, right after I get done telling the world we're going to bring more gold to the Heel Stable, you go and lose yours! You think I'm going to let that go by? I should kick your asses right out of the stable right now! I won't, because I know you. I know after this, you're going to get fired up. I know you're going to get those belts back...or at the least, you had better.
(He turns toward Jon, who is still in the ring, standing in the corner with a smirk.)
Nykk: Don't you think you've gained an inch of ground, you sorry little prick! This is a momentary setback, and it isn't the one you really want to aim for.
(Nykk takes off the RCW Championship Belt and holds it up.)
Nykk: This is the real target, and you'll never get it away from me, I don't care who you throw at me. I heard you on commentary. So, you have some big challenge for me? You have someone ready? A match fans have been waiting for for almost a year? Is that what you said?
Tara: Nykk's upset, he might be about to make a big mistake.
Nykk: Tell you what, I think there's still some broadcast time left this week, you get your damn challenger. Is he here? Someone I haven't beaten, but that people have been waiting to challenge me for almost a year? Who is it? Who? Oh, I know. Come on out Aki Mann! I'm ready for you? No, no it can't be him. I know, what about Concession Boy III! I'll kick his ass too. Admit it, Jon, you have nothing. You have no one. There isn't a soul in that locker room that I haven't beaten in the past year! Hey, I'll humor you though. The belt on the line, right here in Nashville. Come on!
(Nykk throws down the belt and his mic, continuing to yell at Jon. "Voices" hits.)
Joel: Who is this?
Tara: If it's who I think it is, you'll recognize him.
(Nykk stares wildly down the aisle as Super Crazy makes his way to the ring.)
Tara: I can't believe it. Super Crazy is here in RCW!
Joel: Are we really going to see this match here tonight?
Tara: It was back in February, Super Crazy was the FPPVW Champion when Nykk challenged him and tried to outright bribe him to hand the title over. Jon Z stepped in and created a four way match that was won by Alan Mayse. We never did get to see Super Crazy face Nykk one on one.
(Super Crazy slingshots himself into the ring and turns to stare down Nykk.)
Joel: I cannot imagine what is going through Nykk's mind right now. He came in tonight not expecting to compete, and now he has to stand face to face with Super Crazy? You don't just jump in there with the Insane Luchadore without preparation.
Tara: There's no mysterious briefcases full of money tonight, no intermediary sending messages. This is as straightforward as it can be. Super Crazy has a chance to take the RCW Championship from Nykk on the last Foundation of 2005.
Nykk vs. Super Crazy
RCW Championship Match
(Nykk and Crazy lock up. Crazy starts with an armwringer. Nykk reverses and transitions to a hammerlock. Crazy kicks off the ropes push Nykk back and come down with a snapmare. He locks on a rear chinlock as Nykk forces his way up. Crazy transitions to a side headlock but gets launched toward the ropes. Crazy leaps to the top rope and moonsaults back. Nykk ducks and Crazy lands on his feet. Nykk turns around and gets hit with a flying headscissors takedown. Nykk sits up and gets pulled into a front face lock. Nykk struggles, but Crazy pulls him to his feet and hits a DDT before leaping to the top rope. He misses a moonsault as Nykk rolls to the outside. Nykk leans against the guardrail to catch his breath and steps closer to the ring before getting caught with a springboard moonsault.)
Tara: Did he think he was safe from Super Crazy on the outside?
(They begin to brawl on the floor. Nykk hitting a clothesline on Super Crazy that sends him over the guardrail into the crowd.)
Joel: This is becoming more familiar by the minute, but we have to take our last break.
Tara: The RCW Championship is still up for grabs. Don't go anywhere.
(Commercial break.)
(Crazy and Nykk are fighting in the lobby area of the arena. Nykk whips Crazy into a wall.)
Tara: Everything has broken down here as we try and end the year on a high note in RCW. The ref has been lenient here, not counting either man out of this match. Perhaps Nykk is trying to test how far that will go, counting on the match getting thrown out to save his title.
(Nykk hits a back suplex on the floor and gets up, backing away from Crazy and turning toward the ring, smirking. He makes his way though the crowd and into the ring. Crazy stands up and makes his way toward the ring slowly. The ref follows Nykk and starts the count once Nykk is inside. Crazy crawls over the guardrail and rolls weakly into the ring at the count of 9. Looking frustrated, Nykk goes to pick Crazy up and gets pulled into a rollup for a two count.)
(Nykk breaks away and backs up quickly. Crazy nips up to his feet and laughs. Nykk charges with a clothesline, Crazy ducks and hits a reverse DDT. He goes to the apron and hits a slingshot senton followed by a springboard moonsault. He covers for two.)
Tara: Crazy was playing possum after that back suplex. He had Nykk fooled, hell he had us fooled, but he didn't quite take advantage enough to get the win.
(Crazy pulls Nykk to his feet and pulls him into a fireman's carry slam. He points to the corner and hits a bottom rope moonsault. He attempts a second rope moonsault but Nykk gets his knees up. Crazy rolls to the center of the ring. Nykk stands and charges with a running leg lariat. Crazy stands up and gets pulled into a fireman's carry. Nykk hits a rolling Samoan Drop and climbs to the top rope. He misses a splash, Crazy rolling backward to his feet. Nykk gets up to his knees and Crazy hits a dropkick. Crazy quickly applies a Mexican Surfboard. Crazy tries to bend Nykk back into a Dragon Sleeper, but Nykk struggles and gets one hand on the middle rope. Crazy releases the hold as Nykk leans against the corner. When Crazy gets close, Nykk grabs him by the tights and pulls him hard into the corner, sending him face first into the turnbuckle. He stands up and pulls Crazy back into a rolling back suplex. He tries to pick Crazy up for a German suplex, but Crazy blocks. He tries again, but Crazy flips backward and lands on his feet behind Nykk. He tries a back suplex of his own and Nykk counters, landing behind Crazy. He lands on one knee and hits a low blow that the ref misses. Crazy collapses to one knee, but gets pulled back up into the Howling Moon II reverse brainbuster. He covers for three.)
Winner: Nykk by pin.
Tara: Nykk was so close to kissing that belt goodbye. An act of desparation there at the end saved his title.
Joel: I'm not sure if he needed to go low for the win, but I do know it worked.
(Nykk poses with the belt, looking flustered still. Jon stands at ringside, watching. He motions to Nykk, showing he was "just that close.")
Tara: That's all for the last Foundation of 2004. Thank you for watching, and Happy New Year.
