(“Show Me How to Live” plays during a video hyping Darkest Night. Vix is shown at the head of the desk.)
Vix: We are just over a week away from Darkest Night, coming to you live on Pay Per View from the Cricket Arena in Charlotte North Carolina. Already we are looking at record attendance for a RCW event, ticket sales passing 4,600 this week, and showing no signs of slowing down. This is, This Week in RCW. I am Vix and tonight I’m joined by: one half of the Eccentrics, Huh; one half of Swinging Justice, Swinger; the manager of Kumiko Indohara, Miss Vanessa; and we are meant to be joined by our RCW Champion Nykk. Nykk has yet to arrive.
Swinger: And what a shock that is. You know, it’s sickening when someone gets the kind of ego where they think they own the place.
Vanessa: I guess Swinger’s got a problem with that.
(Swinger rolls his eyes.)
Vix: Nykk of course won the RCW title on November 30 from Alan Mayse. He will defend that title at Darkest Night, however we have not yet been informed of his opponent.
Nykk: We probably won’t know until he’s being pushed down the aisle!
(Nykk walks in with the RCW Championship Belt over his shoulder. He sits down and puts his feet on the desk.)
Nykk: Jon Z the past couple days has been talking about the number one contender in vague terms. He’s trying to hint that he actually has someone in mind. I say, he’s panicked, and when we make it to Charlotte, he’ll just grab whomever he can and push them in the ring. I mean, who really would get in the ring with me now?
(A few moments of silence follow.)
Vix: Perhaps we’ll think of an answer during our first couple of matches.
(Matches are shown from a live event in Lima Ohio on Wednesday. Joel Gerner and Lisa Letty call the action.)
(Eric Noe and Shawn Luss defeat Black Blade and Bluejay after Shawn hits Black with a low blow and Eric applies a quick roll up. 52(33/71) )
(Johnny Kashmere defeats Mark Vincent with the Backseat Driver Ocean Cyclone Suplex. 55(42/69)
(Commercial break.)
(Silver King defeats Aaron Idol with the Silver Surfer. 46(38/54)
(A video is shown of Alan Mayse to the tune of “In the End” by Linkin Park. It highlights many of his victories and ends in his loss to Nykk on Foundation. 72)
(Nykk is shown at the desk again, laughing.)
Nykk: Not bad, huh?
Huh: What?
Nykk: Never mind. I put that video together myself.
Swinger: Oh, how wonderful. So glad to see victory isn’t going to your head.
Nykk: Hey, why don’t you see what it feels like? I don’t suppose you’d want to make the challenge for Darkest Night.
Swinger: I’m already booked.
Nykk: Oh right. You’re going to wrestle on Foundation before Darkest Night goes on the air, right? How nice for you.
Tara: Remember, that’s a special start time for Foundation, 7:00pm on Tuesday December 21.
(Swinger stands up.)
Swinger: If Jon Z allows it, I’ll take you on any time, Nykk.
Nykk: Why wait for his say so?
(Nykk stands up too.)
Nykk: Why don’t we see what you’ve got right now?
(Swinger goes to step around the desk. A door is heard opening, Jon Z walks in quickly and holds Swinger back.)
Jon: This isn’t the time!
Nykk: When is the time, Jon? When are you going to pick your white knight? Who’s going to save RCW from me, Jon? Who’s going to put me in my place?
(Jon walks around the desk and stands face to face with Nykk.)
Jon: I have not chosen anyone. There will be no white knight, there will just be…
(Jon reaches back and slaps Nykk across the face.)
Jon: Me!
(Nykk tries to throw a punch but Jon ducks it and trips him backward. Nykk falls back over his chair to the floor.)
Jon: Darkest Night will be Nykk vs. Jon Z for the RCW Championship. Good luck, may the best man win.
(Jon walks away while Nykk is struggling to get up. Everyone stares after Jon in stunned silence.)
(The shot cuts to matches from a live event from Lexington Kentucky on Thursday. The announce team is Kevin Stone and Pinky.)
(The Concession Boyz defeat Swinging Justice when Concession Boy Sr. applies the Hot Pretzel with Mustard on Aki Mann. 63(58/69) )
(Chris Stylez defeats Insane Dragon with the double underhook backbreaker while using the ropes for leverage. 61(42/81) )
(Commercial break.)
(Nykk is going ballistic on the set, throwing chairs around as the rest of the panel tries to keep out of the way. Security steps in and tries to escort him out. Vix and Swinger try and restore some order by fixing the furniture as Miss Vanessa shrieks for security to protect her and Huh looks around completely confused.)
Vix: Can we get on with the show now?
Swinger: Wait a second. You’re not just going on now, are you?
Huh: What is going on? Do I get to talk about Cheesecake being missing at all?
Vanessa: I did not sign up to be put in the middle of this crap! You will be hearing from my lawyer about this.
Vix: We have two more matches set to show tonight, plus an announcement for another match set for Darkest Night.
Swinger: This is insane!
(A video is shown of Austin Lee.)
Jon Z (Voice over): Austin Lee, ever since his dismissal from the Heel Stable, he has been looking for an example. A way to show he doesn’t need backup to get the job done…but will his determination help when he faces the Fallen Angel?
(Footage of Christopher Daniels is shown.)
Jon Z: Chris Daniels. Austin Lee. Will the Fallen Angel descend to darken the Darkest Night?
(Video ends. 79)
(Matches are shown from a live event in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. The announce team is Tara Fisher and Ronin Fox.)
(Shadow defeats Concession Girl with the Shadowfall. 52(48/56)
(Austin Lee defeats Johnny Kashmere with the Degenerate Driver. 82(75/90)
(Nykk is still gone from the set. Miss Vanessa is pacing back and forth, apparently talking on her cell phone and looking frantic. Huh is putting up a poster on the wall with a picture of Cheesecake, naked but partly covered with a black bar. Under the picture is a phone number. The only ones left actually sitting at the desk are Vix and Swinger. Swinger has his head down on the desk and just looks like he’s ready for the show to be over.)
Vix: We are just about out of time for tonight. We’ve seen some amazing RCW action this week…including right here in the studio. We’ll see you this Tuesday for Foundation, and next Friday to see more from the Week in RCW. Goodbye for now and don’t forget to order Darkest Night live on Pay Per View on December 21.
