(A video starts the show highlighting Nykk’s title reign to date to the tune of “Fly From the Inside.")
(Zac Hensley sits at a desk in front of a room of video equipment.)
Zac: Welcome to This Week In RCW, I’m Zac Hensley. We’ve left the round table discussion behind tonight as we gear up for Darkest Night this Tuesday on Pay Per View. Don’t forget, Foundation will air this Tuesday from 7 to 8 to kick off the night. We will be presenting a amazing array of matches, including three title matches. Shadow will defend the Ladies RCW Championship against former friend, mentor, and the woman she won the belt in the first place Naomi Leach. Shadow has been on a major roll lately, mowing down everyone who steps in the ring with her, while Naomi has earned her spot by winning the extremely hard fought Ladies Free For All match, which took several ladies off the active roster before it even took place. We will also see the first ever match between brother vs. brother in RCW as Ronin Fox puts his RCW Television Title up for grabs against Cynric. Cynric has been hungry for gold, and fighting every chance he gets to earn a title shot. Will his first title in the business come from a victory over his own younger brother though? We won’t know until this Tuesday. Shortly after that we will also find out the fate of the RCW Championship help by Nykk. He defends his belt against the man who trained him and still employs him today, Jon Z.
(Clips are shown over Zac’s shoulder of Jon Z training.)
Zac: Jon Z is more than the owner of RCW, he’s been the primary trainer for the organization for it’s entire existence, and it was his training that broke many of RCW’s top start into the business in the first place. Although this will be his in-ring debut as an RCW competitor, he does have professional experience.
(A clip is shown of a Jon Z interview.)
Jon: I broke into this business the absolute wrong way. I assumed I was in the business after hooking up with a group of backyard wrestlers. I was having fun, but I had no idea what I was really doing. When I ended up bragging about it to a friend I got a weird response. He thought if I was going to wrestle, I should learn from a real pro. Eventually I did. I found a small independent promotion that trained me as I worked, and I worked a couple of their shows…then I broke my tailbone. It stopped my career in the ring, but I knew I wanted to keep going somehow. That’s when my old friend and some of his friends started thinking seriously about getting a start in wrestling. It was a faster transition that most from wrestler to trainer, but I like to think I pulled it off well. Just look at the result. Those same friends have become the center of a national promotion and they compete monthly on pay per view. In this business, that is a true mark of success. I’m nervous about stepping into the ring again, especially with what I know Nykk is capable of. This isn’t something I’m doing to try and relive my past, or steal the spotlight. Nykk is not the man I want representing my company, and I believe I have a chance to change RCW for the better. Whether I win or not, I’m going to give Nykk hell.
(Commercial break.)
(The show comes back to Zac at the news desk.)
Zac: Welcome back to This Week in RCW. An interesting week it’s been. The normal tour schedule was replaced by a special trip back home to Dayton Ohio, the city where everything started, for the start of a new era…not for Renegade Championship Wrestling, but for Future Pay Per View Wrestling.
(Clips are shown over Zac’s shoulder of an event from Montgomery County Fairgrounds.)
Zac: The Coliseum at Montgomery County Fairgrounds, once the site of WrestlingRevolution, saw the reformation of the company that gave birth to today’s RCW. Future Pay Per View Wrestling closed its doors the day RCW went on pay per view for the first time in July with Breakout. This past Wednesday it was reopened in order to once again provide a starting point for new talent in the wrestling business. FPPVW will continue as it did before, running shows in Dayton Ohio. The re-debut of FPPVW featured a four hour card that featured many of the stars of RCW returning to the promotion that got them started in the wresting industry. For those of you not in the Dayton area, please enjoy this special look.
(Footage is shown of the FPPVW return event on Tuesday. “Wherever I May Roam” hits and Ronin Fox makes his way to the ring.)
Fox: Ladies and Gentlemen…we’re baaack!
(The crowd pops)
Fox: It’s been a long road out of Dayton and a long road out of FPPVW, but I have to say, damn it’s good to be back. I know this company, and I know that it’s going to bring a new generation of stars right in front of one of the greatest wrestling crowds in the world today.
Brother Jim: Out of my way, go on, let me out there!
(Brother Jim comes out through the curtain.)
BJ: I’ve had just about enough of this. FPPVW is nothing more than one more front for the filth and degradation that is destroying this country. This man in the ring is the product you get from this abomination. He is the kind of foul minded degenerate that this organization caters to.
(Fox looks around confused.)
BJ: You sir, are leading this flock down the road to damnation!
(Fox looks at the crowd and shrugs.)
BJ: They give their minds and their souls to you as you throw them to the wolves.
(Fox looks to one of fans and holds out his hand laughing. The fan stands up and extends his hand as if “giving his soul.”)
BJ: This is no joking matter! I was once just like you!
(Fox falls over laughing.)
BJ: It’s true. I was a rebel! I was a renegade! I was a disco dancer! I was running with the devil down the highway to Hell!
(Fox looks up and asks “disco?”)
BJ: I’ve turned my life around though, and so can you! First you must stop making a false idol of that RCW Television Title!
(Fox looks at his belt, looks at Brother Jim, and looks back at the belt. He places the belt carefully on the mat and starts bowing to it.)
BJ: Stop that! Stop it, I did not come here to be mocked!
(Fox picks up his microphone again.)
Fox: Where do you usually go?
(The crowd is split between cheers and boos.)
Fox: What, you think he deserves a good joke?
BJ: You show me the respect I deserve!
Fox: (Imitating BJ’s voice.) You get a haircut you damn hippie!
(Brother Jim tries to cover his head and hide his hair, which by now is looking rather shaggy and unkempt.)
BJ: You’ll pay for this disgrace.
(Brother Jim rushes into the ring and gets knocked on his back immediately with a dropkick. Brother Jim rolls out of the ring.)
Fox: Tell you what, you can try again later tonight. I’ll even put this on the line. (he holds up his title belt)
(Zac is shown again at the desk.)
Zac: That match would in fact take place, and you’ll see it right here at the end of tonight’s show. We’ll return after a quick break with more from FPPVW’s re-debut.
(Commercial break.)
(Matches are shown from the FPPVW re-debut.)
(Insane Dragon defeats Rico Casanova with Sliced Bread #2. 54(37/71) )
(Aaron Bowman and Dru Stoke defeat Shawn Luss and Eric Noe with a jackhammer/flying cross-body combination. 60(41/79) )
(Commercial break.)
(Concession Boy Sr, Concession Boy III and Concession Girl defeat Black Blade, Blue Jay, and Mary Alice Latino when Concession Boy Sr. makes Black Blade tap out to the Hot Pretzel with Mustard. 54(44/65) )
(Silver King defeats Enygma with the Silver Surfer. 52(46/59) )
(Naomi Leach defeats Lisa Letty with the Leach Hold. 78(74/82) )
(Commercial break.)
(Johnny Kashmere defeats Kevin Stone. 70(67/74) )
(Cynric defeats Chris Stylez with the Shock Cannon. 70(70/71) )
(Back to Zac at the news desk.)
Zac: It was a night to remember, to be sure, and that would be guaranteed with the main event that surprised everyone from the crowd to backstage. The Coliseum at Montgomery County Fairgrounds, drawing a crowd of around 1,000 people, was the site of a true match of the year candidate that nobody saw coming. We’ll show that match in its entirety right after this break.
(Commercial break.)
(“Running With the Devil” hits and Brother Jim makes his way to the ring.)
BJ: Stop that blasphemous music! Before this match gets underway, I have one last thing to say…
(His mic cuts out as he continues to talk. “Wherever I May Roam” hits and Ronin Fox makes his way to the ring. He slides in as Brother Jim in ranting and yelling at a ring crew worker about the microphone. Fox steps behind him and mimics his movements. Brother Jim turns around and takes a swing at Fox, who ducks back laughing and handing his title belt to the referee.)
Ronin Fox vs. Brother Jim
RCW Television Championship Match
(Fox and BJ lock up. BJ forces Fox into the corner, the ref stepping in to call for a clean break. BJ backs up with his arms held high. Suddenly he charges forward with a right hand, Fox ducks it and turns to lock up with BJ again, forcing him into the same corner. Fox gives a clean break and backs up with his arms up yelling “halleluiah.” Brother Jim charges out and gets caught with a drop toe hold. Fox spins around to lock on a front face lock. BJ powers up to his feet and breaks away after a series of right hands. Fox goes for a quick dropkick but BJ sidesteps him and hits an elbow drop to the small of the back. BJ hits a series of knee strikes to Fox’s side and pulls him into a bow and arrow lock. Fox shifts his weight to push BJ’s shoulders down. BJ lets Fox go. Fox spins off BJ’s knees and lands in a lateral press for a two count. BJ kicks out with authority and stands up. Fox stays on his knees and takes BJ down with a sweeping right arm to the back of BJ’s legs. Fox misses with a standing senton bomb when BJ rolls backwards to his feet. BJ misses with a leg drop, when Fox rolls back. BJ ducks a spinning heel kick. Fox rolls sideways and stands up to duck under a running leg lariat. BJ kips up and runs into a hip toss. He stands again as Fox charges. BJ ducks down and flips Fox with a back body drop. Fox stands and both charge and miss simultaneous dropkicks. Both kip up and face off.)
(BJ and Fox lock up. Fox hits an arm drag and applies a hammerlock. BJ fights to his feet and spins back with a standing switch. Fox elbows backward and takes BJ down with a side headlock takeover. BJ breaks free bending up and catching Fox with a headscissors. Fox rolls away and stands in time to get pulled into a monkey flip. Fox lands on his feet and jumps to the top rope, missing with a high moonsault, possibly going for Fox Fire, when BJ stands and ducks.)
(BJ goes for a low dropkick. Fox jumps over BJ and lands on top in a lateral press for a two count. BJ spins out from under Fox and lifts him up from behind in a waistlock into a German suplex. He bridges for a two count. BJ holds on and turns to get to his feet again. He attempts another suplex but Fox blocks and rolls forward into a victory roll for two. BJ rolls back to push Fox down for a two count. Fox kicks out and pushes BJ down for a two count. BJ rolls out and sits on Fox’s chest for a two count. Fox kicks out and rolls under the bottom rope. He stands on the apron and catches BJ with a shoulder block. Fox attempts a sunset flip but BJ holds onto the top rope and stuns Fox with a stomp to the head. BJ slingshots himself onto the top rope, turning in midair as he does and jumps off in a somersault guillotine legdrop. He gets a two count when Fox barely grabs the bottom rope.)
(BJ stands up and stomps Fox. BJ pulls Fox up and tries for a back suplex. Fox blocks and lands on his feet in front of BJ. BJ pushes Fox hard into the corner chest first. BJ hits a series of quick shoulder blocks to Fox’s back and grabs his arm to whip him to the opposite corner. Fox leaps to the top rope and moonsaults back. BJ ducks again and Fox lands on his feet. BJ turns and gets caught with the Tail End DDT. Fox collapses for a few moments before turning over to cover for the three count.)
Winner: Ronin Fox by pin.
