This Week in RCW
Friday, December 30, 2004
(Video package is shown detailing Nykk's celebration from the 12/28/04 episode of Foundation, leading to that night's RCW debut of Super Crazy and the title match that resulted.)
(The camera cuts to the This Week in RCW panel, which tonight consists of Tara Fisher at the head. Joel Gertner and Lisa Letty to the left. Ms. Vanessa and Joey Sprinklers to the right.)
Tara: That was how the last Foundation of 2004 came to a close. Nykk in a surprise main event defending his title against Super Crazy.
Joey: Where the hell did that wacko come from? You can't just walk off the street and get a title match!
Lisa: It's not like he was completely out of nowhere. He and Nykk had a history.
Vanessa: A history most of us have forgotten by now. Super Crazy never showed his face in RCW before.
Tara: That is true. Super Crazy made his RCW debut this week, though he did compete for a period of 2004 in FPPVW, before the birth of RCW. He held the FPPVW title for about one month, a title that shares its lineage with the belt Nykk is wearing right now as RCW Champion.
Joel: Two years in a row Super Crazy comes by like a late Christmas present. It was the last Foundation of 2003 in a match with Ronin Fox that he started on his road to gold. Nykk might have escaped with the belt this week, but what would happen if they met again?
Joey: Who cares! He's going to get lost in the shuffle once this tournament starts.
Tara: The Road to the Revolution Tournament will begin this Tuesday on the first Foundation episode on the Fox Network. We'll go into greater detail on the brackets later tonight.
Joel: I've looked at the brackets. I've never seen a tournament so complex in wrestling before.
Tara: Luckily any confusion throughtout the tournament can be cleared up by visiting PPVrenegade.com. We will keep updated brackets online so you can track your favorite RCW stars' progress. Before we get any further there, however, we've got to go to ringside. We have a lot of action to bring to you today. We're going first to Newport Tennesee.
(Matches are shown from the RCW live event in Newport TN on 12/29/04. Alan Mayse and Jon Z provide commentary.)
(Pyro Twins defeat the Concession Boys after catching Concession Boy Sr. with Final Darkness. Jay Crowe covers for the pin. 70(62/79) )
(Silver King makes Joey Sprinklers tap out to the Silver Surfer. 61(62/61) )
(Nykk is shown in a locker room, holding onto the RCW Championship Belt. A caption reads "After This Week's Foundation")
Nykk: There is one thing, one thing in this world, only one thing that matters. No matter what, I will be the best. Jon, I know your pain. You wanted something for yourself. You wanted a career to be proud of. You wanted the acclaim. You wanted the pride. You never could reach it, so you gave it to me instead. You trained me so I could go on to the greatness that you couldn't. Once I got there, though...that's where jealousy began. I went farther than you could ever go, so you start to sabotage me. You look for people to put in my way. You set up roadblocks. There is one problem with this plan, Jon. I will be the best. No matter what is in my way, I come out with my hand raised. After all I've done, after all I've learned in FPPVW through to RCW, winning is not my goal anymore. It is my right. Build your tournaments, Jon. Beef up the locker room. Hire a damn assasin. I will win. I will keep this belt. I will be the best. That's all that matters.
(Commecial break.)
(Footage is shown from the RCW Live Event from Madison TN on 12/26/04. Swinger and Zac Hensley provide commentary.)
(Pinky and Vix are called into the ring where they have a boxing match using giant novelty gloves. Vix is declared the winner after knocking Pinky down with a flurry of punches. Both girls laugh and even hug at the end. 87)
(The camera cuts to the This Week in RCW Panel)
Vanessa: What the hell was that supposed to be?
Tara: Vix and Pinky having some fun, that was actually taped during the intermission of the event in Madison.
Lisa: That was great! Where did the gloves come from?
Joel: Did the Eccentrics have a garage sale?
Vanessa: That was one of the most rediculous things...don't those two have any dignity?
Joey: Can I see that again? Someone get me a tape.
Joel: Put me down for that too.
Lisa: What's your problem? That looks like fun.
(Ms. Vanessa just rolls her eyes.)
Tara: We have more from Madison, it was an action packed card. Don't forget there are no "house" shows in RCW. If we come to your town, the cameras will be there, the best matches making thier way right here to This Week in RCW.
(More footage is shown from Madison TN.)
(Jason Lee hits Sic Seimper on Rico Cassanova for the pin. 61(37/85) )

(The camera cuts to Zac Hensley at the RCW News Desk)
Zac: The biggest news as we look to the new year is the Road to the Revolution Tournament. The tournament will begin on the first Fox Network episode of Foundation this Tuesday. Thirty men have been signed to compete, several of them making thier RCW debuts. While the placement of these men on the brackets has not yet been announced, the brackets themselves have been explained. The 30 men will be divided into round robin cells of three. The ten winners of these cells will continue to round two, where they will be placed into new round robin cells of five. The two winners from that round will face each other to decide one space in the quarter final round. He will face the man who wins 2005's Four Corner Gauntlet match. The match will be made up of the twenty men who were eliminated in the first round and will take place at RCW Gauntlet on Pay Per View on March 19. The eight men eliminated in round two will be placed into random teams for the Tag Team War. The four teams will compete in tag team matches, with the winners being randomized again. The two new teams will face each other in one last tag match, and the winners will placed back in the quarter finals where they will face each other. The tournament will continue in single elimination style with the winner earning the right to face the RCW Champion in the main event of WrestlingRevolution II on May 15. To take a closer look at the brackets, go to PPVrenegade.com and look on the main page for the bracket link. That's all from the RCW news desk, we will return with more from the panel after this.
(Commercial break.)
(A video is shown, a new female wrestler is highlighted in dark looking training footage. Emphasis is placed on her high flying maneuvers. There is never a very clear shot of her face. The video ends on a still shot with her face mostly in darkness with glowing eyes. The caption reads. "Erica Lee Foster...Coming soon to RCW. 74)
(The camera cuts back to the panel.)
Tara: The newest graduate of the RCW training program, Erica Lee Foster. She has surprised everyone who has seen her in the ring, for a newcomer she took to her work like few I've ever seen.
Vanessa: Just another name to put next to my Kumiko on the road to gold.
Lisa: Yeah, well maybe you should actually see what she can do before you assume that.
Vanessa: Just because you have so many doubts doesn't mean I can't have confidence in my client.
Joey: Well good luck to your client, perhaps with that gold on her shoulder we could see her among some new company?
Vanessa: We'll see.
Tara: So even with the Tag Team titles lost, the Heel Stable is continuing its membership drive?
Joey: Of course. Nykk's offer stands. Anyone who captures gold in RCW can pledge themselves to the Heel Stable, with the exception of course of Nykk's RCW Championship, and the Tag Team belts. Those belts are going right back to the Pyro Twins.
Joel: Where they'll be put under lock and key and never defended again?
Joey: What was that?
Joel: Look, if the Pyro Twins want to wrestle for those titles and earn them, fine, but look what happened with thier last title reign. They got bored, they got overconfident, and they got soft. Alan and Austin took those belts from a much different tag team. If Jay and Dusty want to win those belts back they had better find thier A game again.
Tara: There has not been a rematch signed yet for these two teams. We might find out more on the Tag Title situation this Tuesday on Foundation. Don't forget to check your listings as Foundation and This Week in RCW will both be moving to the Fox Network. For now we are nearing the end of our show and we are going to leave you with more action from Newport. Thank you for watching, and happy new year.
Joel: See you in 2005.
(More footage is shown from the Newport show.)
