This Week in RCW. January 14, 2005

(Clips are shown from Road to the Revolution matches from the past two weeks to the tune of "All My Life" by the Foo Fighters. The camera cuts to the This Week In RCW panel. Jon Z sits in the center. To the left are Nykk and Jay Crowe. To the right are Vix and Bryan Danielson.)

Jon Z: Welcome everyone to This Week in RCW, what a week it has been. The Road to the Revolution is heating up, competition all around is getting fierce, I can't wait to see what is around the corner. Tonight we'll show you how the tournament progressed since Tuesday. We also have the second RCW match of Erica Lee Foster as she takes on RCW veteran Lisa Letty and an amazing 3 Way Dance featuring Johnny Kashmere, Super Crazy, and Insane Dragon.

Nykk: Perhaps tonight we can also hear what the main event is going to be at Genesis. As champion, it would be nice for me to hear about it.

Vix: With the recent restructuring of the company, we've been left with a lot of decisions to make. Over the next few months we are going to be deciding a new method of choosing number one contenders.

Nykk: Still indecisive, huh Vix? If you could make a choice and deliver on it maybe you'd still be working for me.

Bryan: Oh, is that where you came from? Well congratulations on the promotion.

(Nykk stays quiet.)

Jon: We're pressed for time tonight, so we have to get right to the action.

(Footage from the 1/12 live event in Centerville, OH is shown. Ronin Fox and Kara Draxus provide commentary.)

Dusty Schneble vs. Kevin Stone
Road to the Revolution Tournament Match
Round One, Cell E

(Dusty hits a top rope kneedrop and sets Kevin up for the Rope Burn II. When he attempts to spin into the neckbreaker, Kevin breaks away and pulls himself to the outside of the ring with the ropes. Dusty runs the ropes to attempt a plancha. Kevin catches him in midair to his the Stonecutter. He pulls Dusty up and rolls him inside, covering for three.)

Winner: Kevin Stone by pin.

(Commercial Break)

(A promo for RCW Genesis on Pay Per View is shown)

(The camera cuts to Zac Hensley at the RCW News Desk.)

Zac: Once again, this is Zac Hensley with the Road to the Revolution Report. You saw just before the break, Kevin Stone made a strong showing in his first tournament match. This puts Dusty Schneble down as the second man to be eliminated from the upper brackets and placed into the 4 Corner Gauntlet. The winner of Cell E will be decided between Kevin Stone and Jason Lee. That match has yet to be scheduled. This Tuesday on Foundation, three more matches are set to continue the brackets. Cynric and Chris Stylez will battle for victory in Cell A, Johnny Kashmere takes on Concession Boy III, and of course Ronin Fox will step into the ring for the first time with CM Punk. Fox's only chance to stay in the upper brackets lie in gaining a victory this Tuesday. For more news on the tournament and to keep track of the brackets and scores log onto PPVRenegade.com. And now, back to the panel.

(The camera cuts to the panel.)

Jon: Welcome back to This Week in RCW. Thank you for the update, Zac. It's been a horrible week for the Pyro Twins. First a hard loss on Foundation against the Second City Saints, and now Dusty Schneble being taken out of the upper brackets.

Jay: That doesn't take him out of the tournament. Dusty is training like never before and he is going to dominate the 4 Corner Gauntlet.

Vix: It would certainly be interesting to see you or Dusty in the ring with Nykk for the RCW Title.

Nykk: I'm glad you think so, because you will be seeing an all Heel Stable main event come May. However, I'll ask again, who the hell am I going to be facing at Genesis?

Jon: Settle down, Nykk. Your opponent has not been determined yet, we are examining the roster closely and we will make our decision in the coming week.

Nykk: Finally, was that so hard?

Jon: You have no idea how hard you make it. We've got more action to show, the Road to the Revolution continues, and Lisa Letty takes on the newcomer Erica Lee Foster. Lisa Letty still sore from the loss she recieved in that impromptu boxing match that took place on Foundation a week and a half ago against Kumiko Indohara. Lately a lot of people backstage have been examining that match, claiming there was something odd about it. Lisa herself has asked to examine the gloves used in the match.

Jay: Sounds like making excuses to me.

Bryan: Hey, you never know. That match was set up pretty quickly, there could have been all kinds of things wrong with it.

Jay: What, you think Kumiko slipped in a horeshoe or some crap like that?

Bryan: Well, she doesn't look like Bugs Bunny or anything, but just a little difference in the gloves themselves can mean a lot. I watched that match too, and it looked to me like Lisa was outboxing her right until the end.

Nykk: There's more to it than skill though, Kumiko flat out outmuscled Lisa, what's the big deal? They should move on.

Jon: A lot of people have trouble moving on in this business, but we have to move on to more action. Lets take you back to Wednesday again.

(More footage is shown from Centerville.)

Colt Cabana vs. Rico Cassanova
Road to the Revolution Tournament Match
Round One, Cell F

(Colt misses with a slingshot legdrop and gets pulled up and into Casanova Crunch. Rico covers for two, but Colt gets a foot on the ropes. He rolls to the outside and Rico runs the ropes and hits a baseball slide. The two of them brawl on the outside, Colt whipping Rico over the barricade and into the crowd. Colt chases after them as the ref counts both men out of the ring.)

Winner: Draw by double countout.

(Commercial Break)

Erica Lee Foster vs. Lisa Letty

(Lisa takes control after Erica misses a spinning heel kick by wearing Erica down with a bow and arrow lock. Erica tries to shift her weight to put Lisa's shoulders down and gets a two count. Lisa runs the ropes and hits a yakuza kick, knocking Erica towards the ropes. Erica uses the ropes to stand and Lisa jumps up to sit on the top rope. Lisa turns Erica and pulls her in to hit a second rope bulldog. Lisa points to the opposite turnbuckle and climbs up for the Letty Press. Ms Vanessa runs through the crowd and gets up on the apron. The ref turns to try and get her down as Kumiko Indohara sneaks up to the ring from the isle. Lisa jumps down from the top rope and walks across the ring as Kumiko slips in behind her and hits a reverse DDT. Kumiko gets into a mount position and hammers at Lisa with hard right hands. Kumiko then stands up and pushes Lisa to the corner before sliding out. Erica stands up and applies an armwringer before climbing to the top rope and moonsaulting back to hit a DDT. As she covers for three Ronin Fox mentions the maneuver is named "Corpus Litany")

Winner: Erica Lee Foster by pin.

(Commercial Break.)

(The camera cuts back to the panel.)

Jon: This Week in RCW continues. We have two final matches to show from Thursday night in Sandusky Ohio. Before we go to them let me address the newest addition to the RCW roster. Bryan Danielson, how does it feel to come into the fastest growing wrestling promotion in the world today.

Bryan: I get the feeling I'm here to make it grow even faster. There's one thing I've always done in this business, and that's strive to be the best. That doesn't mean most marketable, that doesn't mean the most likable, that means simply the best. We are finally reaching a point in this country where wrestling is truely appreciated for being what it is. RCW is growing because it is a wrestling company, not a congomerate that keeps watering down it's product while selling retrospectives on how great the business used to be. Just like other places I work for all over the country and the world, RCW is showing what wrestling can be, and will be with the right talent behind it. That's why I showed up, and that's why I'll be happy to start running things around here.

(Nykk snorts, but says nothing.)

Jon: Well you have one win towards that goal already, good luck to you. For now, lets get back to the action.

(Footage from the 1/13 live event in Sandusky, OH is shown. Naomi Leach and Cynric provide commentary.)

Insane Dragon vs. Johnny Kashmere vs. Super Crazy Three Way Dance

(Super Crazy stuns Johnny with a fireman's carry slam. He jumps up to the top rope, but Dragon shoves him into crotching himself on the top rope. Dragon hits a springboard corkscrew moonsault on Johnny, covering for three.)

(With Johnny eliminated, Super Crazy slingshots into the ring for a shoulder block and hits a first rope moonsault on Dragon. He goes for the second rope moonsault, but Dragon lifts his knees up to block. Dragon pulls Crazy up and sets up for Sliced Bread #2, but as he lifts himself with the turnbuckles Crazy holds him up and turns him, hitting a modified powerbomb and covering for three.)

Winner: Super Crazy by pin.

(Commercial Break.)

Christopher Daniels vs. Concession Boy III
Road to the Revolution Tournament Match
Round One, Cell G

(Daniels dominates the match from the start, toying with CBIII with a series of lax covers. He hits the Blue Thunder Bomb and covers for two when CBIII grabs the ropes. Daniels pulls him up again to hit the STO and go for the Best Moonsault Ever. CBIII rolls out of the way and stands up as Daniels quickly gets to his feet. CBIII whips Daniels to the ropes and tries to set up for a top rope back suplex. Daniels blocks the suplex and stuns CB with a back elbow. He turns around on the top rope and hits a top rope sidewalk slam. He tries again to hit the Best Moonsault Ever and lands perfectly, covering for three.)

Winner: Christopher Daniels by pin.

(The camera cuts back to the panel.)

Vix: There is is, another step toward WrestlingRevolution II, Christopher Daniels scoring a win in Cell G.

Jon: Does it make you nervous, Nykk, seeing this much talent gunning for your belt?

Nykk: There's always going to be a lot of great talent, but as you said yourself...this IS my belt. It doesn't matter who I step into the ring with, it will remain my belt.

Jon: We'll see if you can hold those words as truth, even before WrestlingRevolution. Don't forget to tune in this Tuesday for more RCW on Foundation. Three more tournament matches, the Pyro Twins will be in tag team action, and a special surprise main event. We'll see you next week.
