This Week in RCW. January 21, 2005

(An opening video plays, highlighting Bryan Danielson's matches in the past couple weeks set to "Just Stop" by Disturbed. Zac Hensley is sitting at the RCW news desk.)

Zac: Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm Zac Hensley, and welcome to This Week in RCW. We are just over a week away from Regeneration on Pay Per View and the close of the Road to the Revolution's first round. It has been a hectic week here in Renegade Championship Wrestling, topped off by learning just who will be challenging RCW Champion Nykk in Chicago. Bryan Danielson, certainly one of the top talents in professional wrestling today, has been recruited by Jon Z as a strong challenger to the arrogant young champion. Nykk has been reported to be angry about the lack of time he has been given to prepare for such an important match, but this has not affected his confidence. The Heel Stable has in fact guarunteed that Nykk will keep his belt all the way into May, so he can defeat the winner of the Road to the Revolution. The Heel Stable itself will have trouble however, as for the next thirty days thier ranks have taken a serious hit. Due to an order by RCW Chairman Jon Z, The Pyro Twins have been suspended from action as a team. While both Dusty Schneble and Jay Crowe have been scheduled for matches in the next month and both are still part of the Road to the Revolution Tournament, they have been fined heavily for thier actions against Aki Mann and Swinger, and banned from appearing in the same arena at the same time.

(Footage is shown in the corner of the screen of the Pyro Twins' attack against Swinging Justice.)

Zac: No statements about this situation have been issued from the stable. We have a lot of action to get to tonight, including a series of exciting matches from Canton Ohio this past Wednesday. Lets go to the ring.

(Footage from the 1/19 live event in Canton, OH is shown. Jon Z and CM Punk provide commentary.)

Johnny Kashmere vs. Chris Daniels
Road to the Revolution Tournament Match
Round One, Cell G

(Chris takes control and sets up for the angel's wings. Johnny fights out and hits a low blow that goes undetected by the referee. He backs to the ropes and charges with a spear that sends Chris to the outside. Johnny hits a plancha to the outside and the two take a little time to recover and brawl, leading to a countout.)

Winner: Double countout draw.

Joey Sprinklers vs. Jimmy Jacobs

(Joey counters the Contra Code and spins Jimmy around to hit 'Da Sprinklinator for the pin.)

Winner: Joey Sprinklers by pin.

(Commercial break.)

(Cut back to Zac at the news desk.)

Zac: Welcome back to This Week. As you saw earlier, an indecisive result in the Road to the Revolution as Christopher Daniels and Johnny Kashmere fought to a double countout. As these two were already tied in the brackets, this has forced a rematch between the two to be signed to decide the winner of Cell G. This match will take place at Regeneration, as Jon Z plans to bring Round One to a conclusion on that night. Also to take place will be the huge three man tiebreaker match between Brother Jim, Ronin Fox, and CM Punk.

(Window footage of the three Cell B matches are shown)

Zac: Brother Jim had this to say.

(Cut to a backstage interview with Brother Jim.)

BJ: Yea, I feel the glory shining down on me, the Lord is smiling as he watches his servant shed the failings of the past to embrace triumphant victory in his name. The devil is cunning, and he almost cheated me out of my destiny, but the Lord helps those who help themselves, and I helped myself stay alive to fight against evil. The Renegades here will soon know that thier way is a fool's errand as I make good on my promise to transform RCW into Righteous Championship Wrestling. O-pen your bibles...I draw you attention to-

(The camera cuts out, then cuts back to Zac.)

Zac: The action continues as we go back to Canton. Former RCW Champion Alan Mayse in action against Insane Dragon.

(More footage from Canton, OH is shown.)

Alan Mayse vs. Insane Dragon
Road to the Revolution Tournament Match
Round 1, Cell H

(Alan takes control with an enzigiri and signals for a Tiger Bomb. He turns to see someone dressed in black with a hat on jump over the guardrail, apparently a fan. Security converges on him, the ref sliding out as well to deal with him. The man knocks the ref down with a right hand and jumps up on the ring apron. Alan runs toward him but gets caught and pulled throat first on the top rope. Security pull the man back over the guardrail and the ref rolls back into the ring. Dragon pulls Alan into a Sliced Bread #2 and covers for the three count.)

Winner: Insane Dragon by pin.

(The camera goes to the fan, showing his face clearly for the first time as he takes off his hat, letting down his hair and revealing himself to be Raven. Punk goes nuts on commentary while Jon slips up saying Raven's not supposed to be here "yet")

(The camera cuts back to Zac.)

Zac: Jon gave PPVrenegade.com a statement after the show, announcing that Raven had recently been signed by RCW and has been entered into the Road to the Revolution Tournament. He was scheduled for his debut match next week on Foundation, against Insane Dragon to continue the competition in Cell H.

(A window graphic of Cell H is shown, now complete with Alan Mayse, Insane Dragon, and Raven.)

Zac: Has Raven given himself an advantage before even setting foot in the ring? We'll see in the coming weeks. Stay where you are, ladies and gentlemen, we'll be back with more action.

(Commercial break.)

(Footage from the 1/20 live event from Cleveland, OH is shown. Cynric and Tara Fisher provide commentary.)

Aki Mann vs. Super Crazy
Road to the Revolution Tournament Match
Round 1, Cell I

(Aki gets in little offense, spending most of the match paranoid about his face and mask. Super Crazy hits a fireman's carry slam and a triple moonsault for the pin.)

Winner: Super Crazy by pin.

(The camera cuts back to Zac.)

Zac: Although Aki Mann was cleared to wrestle yesterday, it seems he has a long way before shaking off the effects of the Pyro Twin's attack.

(Window footage of the Lisa Letty vs. Kumiko Indohara boxing match from the 1/04/05 episode of Foundation is shown.)

Zac: Yet another match to be added to RCW Regeneration was brought to our attention today. Lisa Letty, thrown by the result of her impromptu boxing match against Kumiko Indohara a couple weeks ago has been studying the tape, looking for some weakness in her opponent or strategy that may help her in a potential re-match. Though Lisa has been asking for one backstage since the night the first confrontation took place, there was no word from Kumiko and Ms. Vanessa until this week, when they were asked to explain something from that match.

(A full screen freeze frame from the match is shown, circles highlight the gloves of both fighters.)

Zac: While watching the tape, Lisa and several officials noticed that the gloves of Kumiko Indohara were actually significantly smaller and lighter than Lisa's. This detail would give Kumiko a strong advantage in the fight. Ms Vanessa has feverently denied there was anything unfair about the match. She however has been unable or unwilling to give RCW officials information on how to question the "trainer" that was hired to prepare Lisa's gloves for the fight. Lisa has this to say backstage in Cleveland.

(The camera cuts to Lisa Letty in a locker room.)

Lisa: Well done, well done. Ms Vanessa, you know your job. Your job is to take your client and make her look like the toughest woman on the face of the planet. There's one problem though. Even with your tricks and advantages, your girl couldn't knock me out for good. I stood up to her and went the distance. Did I get knocked down? Sure, but I wasn't out. You came close, Kumiko you hit me harder than I've ever been hit, and I can't wait to test myself against you again. This time, though, lets see how tough you really are. Forget the trainers, leave the gloves at home, come into the ring and face me and show ME that you're the toughest woman in RCW. January 29, Regeneration, you and me in a Last Woman Standing Match.

(The camera cuts back to Zac.)

Zac: The match has been confirmed, the first ever Last Woman Standing Match in RCW will take place at Regeneration. We're not done with This Week yet though, stay with us for more action from Cleveland.

(Comercial break.)

(More footage from Cleveland, OH is shown.)

Aaron Bowman vs. Jay Crowe
Road to the Revolution Tournament Match
Round 1, Cell J

(Jay hits a low blow and rolls to the outside of the ring. He reaches under the ring apron but something yanks him down underneath the ring. Suddenly he gets shoved out and Aaron Boman rolls to the outside to pick him up and roll him inside. He hits a jackhammer for the pin as Swinger, with a number of bandages on his face and arms, slides out from under the ring and backs up the aisle laughing.)

Winner: Aaron Bowman by pin.

Chris Stylez and Johnny Kashmere vs. Alan Mayse and Austin Lee
RCW Tag Team Championship Match

(Austin Lee locks on the Crimson Cloverleaf outside the ring on Johnny Kashmere as Alan Mayse hits the Tiger Bomb on Chris Stylez for the pin.)

Winners: Alan Mayse and Austin Lee by pin.
