FPPVW Darkest Night. December 21, 2003

Sinclair Community College

Dark Match: Concession Boy III vs. Aki Mann

Winner: Concession Boy III by pin Match Rating: 55

("Prayer" opening)

Dick: Welcome everyone, we're here at Sinclair Community College for Darkest Night! I'm Dick Broccoli here with Tara Fisher. It's the last big show of the year, and it's the darkest the sky gets.

Tara: It's a cold cold night outside, but we're ready to boil over in here. Lets kick things off.

(CM Punk is in the ring, he's wearing bright red with a holiday themed t-shirt with a picture of holly leaves. "Show Me How to Live" by Audioslave hits and J.R. Ryder makes his way to the ring, wearing white trunks with a oak tree design on the back.)

Dick: The debut of two talented individuals is set to take place, and what better place for thier first test that right here and right now.

CM Punk vs. J.R. Ryder

Finish: CM takes an early advantage, stretching J.R. with a series of painfull holds, wearing him down to set him up for the "Punk Lock" a reverse Indian Death Lock. He tries to apply the hold, but J.R. reaches the ropes and pulls himself to the outside.

J.R. takes a second to compose himself as CM comes to the outside. He rushes around the ringpost and around the ring with CM in pursuit. He grabs a ringpost and swings himself into the ring, and back outside again right behind CM, hitting a german suplex on the outside.

Dragging CM back into the ring, J.R. sets up for a powerbomb, but CM does a Kidman reversal. CM climbs the turnbuckle but gets caught with a armdrag, J.R. jumping up to the top rope and hitting a shooting star press for the pin.

Winner: J.R. Ryder by pin. Match Rating: 73

Tara: One sudden shift in momentum was all it took for J.R. to secure a win here tonight.

Dick: It'll take a little time to prepare for our next match, the cage is about to be built. Lets take a look back at how we got here.

(Footage of the Pyro Twins/Eccentrics feud is shown, focussing on the last couple months, and the Eccentrics trying to turn around with thier new manager.)

("Fuel" hits and the Pyro Twins make thier way to the ring as cage is being completed. Jay grabs a microphone.)

Dick: This is a bit unusual for him.

Jay: This ends tonight! New manager, or new agent, or publicist or whatever that wierd girl you found is, the only use you're going to get out of her tonight, is to help drag your limp bleeding bodies out of here.

("Pajamarama" hits and the Eccentrics make thier way to the ring, accompanied by Pinky.)

The Pyro Twins vs. The Eccentrics
Tag Team Cage Match

Finish: Jay and Dusty systematically destroy Huh and Cheesecake. Cheesecake gets his head cut early in the match from being rammed into the chain link. With him down, they both turn to Huh, hitting Final Darkness. They look down at the Eccentrics as if surprised to be already so close to winning. They shrug and both start climbing out. Dusty is over the top and climbing back down when Cheesecake gets back up and grabs Jay, pulling him back into the ring. Dusty looks back and forth from his partner to the floor and reluctantly drops to the floor hoping Jay can handle himself.

Cheesecake whips Jay to the ropes and hits a dropkick, signaling for the Long Kiss Goodnight. He waits for the right moment, watching Jay get back up, but gets tripped by Dusty, who's been carefully working his arm just under the cage.

Pinky confronts Dusty on the outside, seemingly not intimidated in the least. Dusty ignores her until she tries to grab his arm, then he jumps at her and yells "waaaaaaggggghhhhh!" and she runs away. In the ring, Jay mounts Cheesecake and starts pummeling him with right hands. Huh gets back up and puts a sleeper hold on Jay. Jay tries to fight out of it, but Huh keeps the hold locked while Cheesecake recovers and takes shots at Jay's midsection.

Huh drops Jay and he and Cheesecake try and make thier escape. Cheesecake climbs one side and makes it out, Huh tries the other, but gets caught by a chair thrown by Dusty, and he falls back to the mat.

Huh and Jay get back to thier feet and stare each other down. Jay goes for a clothesline but Huh ducks and hits a neckbreaker. He climbs the turnbuckles and tries to pull himself up on the cage. Jay grabs his foot to keep him inside, and climbs up after him. They trade punches on the top, Cheesecake climbs up one side on the outside, and Dusty climbs the other, each of them meeting up with a member of the opposing team. They trade punches back and forth, finally ending up with Huh getting confused and swinging wildly, accidentally knocking Cheesecake to the floor. Dusty holds onto Huh, while Jay climbs over the cage wall and drops to the floor.

Winners: The Pyro Twins. Match Rating: 68

Dick: It's over, the Pyro twins got this one wrapped up.

Tara: Actually, it looks like they're still planning something.

(Jay pulls the announce table closer to the ring and clears the equipment off. Pinky and Cheesecake try and stop him, but Jay simply shoves Pinky away and kicks Cheesecake to stun him for the Overhaul. Jay sets Cheesecake on the table and signals to Dusty, who maneuvers Huh up over the cage and drops back, landing on his feet on the floor while hiptossing Huh onto Cheesecake, sending both through the table.)

(Refs rush out to remove the Pyro Twins from ringside, while EMT's check on Huh and Cheesecake.)

(Backstage, Cody Hawk walks out of Jon Z's office. Cynric approaches.)

Cynric: Well, looks like you're going to be here to stay, right?

Cody: Looks that way, and you are?

Cynric: You don't remember me at all, do you?

Cody: Where should I know you from?

Cynric: We only went to the same damn school for years on end. You graduated from Bellbrookville just like me and most of the FPPVW core.

Cody: Right...I think I saw you around. Football team right?

Cynric: Hell no.

Cody: Oh. Well whatever, man. See you around.

Cynric: Oh, no no no, you see...you don't ignore me. You see, you might have graduated before me, you might have made it into the business first, but I've been in FPPVW since day one, and I'm not going to let you step in here without earning your spot.

Cody: Is that right? Well, I don't think I'm going to earn or take my spot here. I'd rather take yours.

(Cody laughs and walks away.)

(Segment Rating: 56)

(The last of the cage is dismantled as "Simon Sez" hits and Simon Diamond makes his way to the ring.)

Simon: Dayton Ohio! Simon's got a problem. It seems that the Heel Stable has a bit of a pest problem. Some red furred mangy rodent, that just can't be driven away. Well tonight, Simon says bring it out here, Fox, and get ready for the big dog to finally catch you!

("Wherever I May Roam" hits and Ronin Fox runs to the ring, ducking a right hand and hitting a neckbreaker.)

Simon Diamond vs. Ronin Fox

Finish: Simon hits a low blow and goes for the Simonizer early, Fox grabs the ropes. Simon rolls to the outside and gets a chair, the ref goes after him and snatches it away. As soon as the ref turns his back, Simon picks up another chair and KOs the ref with a shot to the back of the head.

Nykk runs through the crowd and slides into the ring, and hits Howling Moon I on Fox. Simon slides back in with the chair as Nykk picks Fox up and sets him up in the corner. Simon charges with the chair, but Fox ducks and rolls out, Simon hitting the turnbuckles and dropping the chair. Nykk chases Fox and tries to whip him into the ringpost, but Fox reverses and sends Nykk into the guardrail. Simon grabs Fox in a waistlock as Nykk recovers. Nykk backs up for a sidekick, but Fox avoids it and Nykk catches Simon instead.

Nykk yells at Simon to get up, Fox grabbing the chair and taking a swing at Nykk. Nykk just barely ducks back and over the guardrail, retreating as the ref starts to stir on the outside.

Fox gets into an arguement with the ref, who thinks it was Fox who attacked him, Simon crawls into the ring.

Fox slides in and is greeted with stomps from Simon. Simon backs up and goes for a low dropkick, but Fox props himself up on his hands and feet and Simon just slides under him. Fox jumps up the turnbuckles and hits a flying crossbody on Simon on the outside.

The ref starts the count, Fox barely rolling in at eight to break it, Simon following soon after. They trade punches, Simon getting the advantage and hitting a DDT for a two count. He covers two more times with the same result, getting frustrated and threatening the ref. He picks Fox up and signals for the Simonizer, but Fox tags him with a right hand and hits a drop toe hold while he's stunned. Fox climbs the ropes while Simon gets up to his feet, and hits Fox Fire for the pin.

Winner: Ronin Fox by pin. Match Rating: 78

(Nykk returns to ringside and hits a chairshot on Fox as he's leaving, Kevin and Joey run out and join in the attack, stomping Fox on the protective mats. Simon recovers and slides out, hitting the Simonizer on the floor. Joey picks up Fox and holds him for a spear from Kevin. The refs run out to try and separate everyone while Nykk applies the Bellbrookville Cedarleaf. Fox doesn't move when Nykk lets him go, the stable pushing the refs back, Simon turning Fox onto his back and grabbing the chair, dropping a chair-spiked elbow to the head that busts Fox open. Finally the Heels are restrained and removed from ringside.)

(Segment Rating: 82)

Dick: We need some help out here, Fox is busted bad.

Tara: This has turned out to be a very dark night for Fox, he won the match, but he may have just lost a war out here thanks to the Heel Stable.

Dick: The night isn't over for Nykk though, he still has to focus on his match against Alan Mayse, the man he took the FPPVW title from. Lets take a look at how it came about.

(A video hyping the Nykk vs. Alan Mayse championship match is shown, focussing on the Bloodbath "First Blood" match, and the formation of the Heel Stable. Segment Rating: 68)

Tara: That match is coming up fast, but that's not all that's left by a long shot.

Dick: That's right, we still have to crown the first ever Ladies FPPVW Champion! It could be this lady right here.

("Faint" hits and Kai Kitta makes her way to the ring.)

Tara: Kai and Naomi both earned thier place in this tournament, lets take a look how they got here.

(Footage of the previous matches in the tournament are shown before "Social" hits and Naomi Leach makes her way to the ring.)

Kai Kitta vs. Naomi Leach
Ladies FPPVW Championship Match

Finish: Kai starts fast, controling the match at a quick pace. She hits a flying headscisors on Naomi and backs up for the Interceptor. Naomi ducks and and grounds Kai with a drop toe hold and an armbar. Kai tries to struggle free, but Naomi outmanuvers her, keeping the match on the mat where she seems to have the edge.

Naomi transitions to and STF, Kai dragging them both slowly to the ropes to break the hold. Naomi backs up and lets Kai up to her feet, then attempts a back suplex. Kai struggles free, landing on her feet and hitting a dropkick to the back that sends Naomi into the corner. She sets Naomi up on the top rope, trying a german superplex, but Naomi elbows Kai down and turns, trying a splash. Kai rolls away and up to her knees, keeping Naomi down with a hammerlock while she catches her breath.

Kai stands and hits two elbowdrops, missing the third when Naomi moves, both get to thier feet at the same time and stop in a staredown. They circle slowly and lock up, Naomi taking Kai down in a firemans carry and applying an armwringer. Kai rolls through to her feet and reverses the armwringer. Naomi pulls away and blocks a kick from Kai only to be hit with an enziguri.

Erica Porter runs out and gets up on the apron, Kai argues with her while the ref tries to stay between them. Naomi rolls up Kai for a quick two count while Erica slides in the ring. She gets in Naomi's face and Naomi shoves her back, telling her to stay out of the match. When Naomi turns back to Kai, Erica tackles her from behind and throws punches to the back of the head.

The bell rings and Kai gets to her feet, pulling Erica off Naomi and getting floored with a right hand. Erica stomps Kai and gets pulled away by the ref, she starts screaming about the tournament being unfair while she's removed from ringside by other officials. One offical stays behind to confer with the ref and the bell rings again, the match ordered to continue.

Naomi and Kai stare at each other from opposite corners, Naomi charging and getting caught in a powerslam by Kai. Kai backs up for the Interceptor again, but it's ducked again, Naomi hitting a reverse DDT and quickly applying the Leach Hold. Kai gets close to the ropes, but gets pulled back to the center. Naomi leans in hard, keeping Kai still until she taps out.

Winner: Naomi Leach by submission. Match Rating: 70

Dick: Naomi has done it, we have our first Ladies FPPVW Champion!

(Kai gets up to her feet and shakes Naomi's hand, taking the belt from the ref and presenting it to Naomi herself.)

Tara: Well, a lot of class shown at the end of this match, that's always good to see.

Dick: Well get your fill of it, I doubt it'll be around for our next match. From one title belt to the next, the time has come for Nykk to defend the FPPVW Championship against former champion Alan Mayse.

("Seven Nation Army" hits and Alan Mayse makes his way to the ring, as Naomi and Kai are both leaving. "My Way" hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring, accompanied by the entire Heel Stable. The ref meet them half-way and orders everyone except Nykk and Vix to leave the ringside area.)

Dick: Referee Erik Bower making a decision right off the bat, Vix is the only one there licenced as a manager, the rest of the stable is leaving.

Tara: We could actually see a one on one encounter here, though with even one memeber of the Heel Stable at ringside, it's not very good odds.

Nykk vs. Alan Mayse
FPPVW Championship Match

Finish: Nykk keeps a steady pace, backing away from every move Alan makes, taking shots sparringly but making them count. He takes an opporotunity to take Alan down in a DDT and applies an ankle lock. Alan gets to the ropes quickly and rolls outside, keeping his eye on Vix too long and getting caught by a baseball slide.

They brawl on the outside, Alan blocking a vertical suplex and lifting Nykk up to drop on the guardrail. He rolls in, breaking the count. Nykk follows and is immediately hit with an elbow drop. Alan drags Nykk closer to the center of the ring and goes up top, hitting an leg drop for a two count.

Alan signals for a Tiger Bomb and waits for Nykk to stand up. Nykk grabs the ref while Simon Diamond runs down the isle and trips Alan. Alan gets back up and argues with Simon, Nykk trying a roll up for a two count.

Alan locks up with Nykk and gets backed up toward Simon, who is about to reach in again. Ronin Fox, his head heavily bandaged from before, runs out while Simon gets on the apron and grabs him around the waist, pulling him back in a german suplex to the floor. A couple refs come out to separate them and remove them from ringside, while Alan armdrags Nykk and hits a quick dropkick.

Alan stomps Nykk, but Nykk grabs a leg and pulls Alan down, applying a single leg Boston crab. He transitions into the Bellbrookville Ceadarleaf, and Alan barely makes it to the ropes. Nykk celebrates, thinking he's won, but the ref puts his arm down. Turning back to Alan, he grabs a leg, trying to re-apply the hold. Alan turns over and kicks Nykk to the corner, getting up and charging. Nykk ducks out of the way and Alan hits the turnbuckles. Nykk recovers and whips Alan to the ropes. Nykk lowers his head for a back body drop, but Alan counters and hits the Tiger Bomb for the pin.

Winner: Alan Mayse by pin. Match Rating: 78

Tara: Yes! Alan regains his title!

Dick: What is this going to mean for the Heel Stable!

Tara: We'll find out. Be sure to tune in for the last Foundation of the year this Friday. For Dick Broccoli, this is Tara Fisher. Good night Dayton.
