("Burning Times" by Iced Earth plays as a clock begins to count down from 30 minutes.)
Tara: In just under thirty minutes, the wrestling landscape is being set on fire.
(The arena is shown with Tara in the ring.)
Tara: Ladies and Gentlemen, are you ready for Firestorm? We are here in the 5/3 arena in Cincinnati Ohio and once the clock strikes eight we will be Live with the second Pay Per View from Renegade Championship Wrestling. I'm Tara Fisher, and I'm here to bring you all the action. We will see two big championship matches. The Ladies RCW Champion is here on Pay Per View for the first time. Six matches have been signed, and for once...I will NOT be joined by Dick Broccoli. I have to tell you, that's a great feeling.
(Footage begins, showing the past couple weeks of interaction between Johnny Kashmere and Chris Styles with the Concession Boyz.)
Jon: Kashmere and Stylez, two men with a purpose here in RCW. Two men trying and training nonstop to be the best tag team possible. The Concession Boyz...a pair of talented wrestlers, with a different way to spend their time. Kashmere and Stylez have asked before what the purpose of Merchandising Inc truly is, and now it seems they no longer care. They don't see a good reason for their presence, so they have decided to put them away.
(The footage changes to show Swinging Justice.)
Jon: Aki Mann and Swinger. Two men who's careers would never be the same after the Ohio Tag Team Tournament. Swinger replaced Aki Mann as the partner of Joey Sprinklers after the superhero was left on the sidelines with a broken nose. Finding themselves teaming with each other soon afterward, Swinger has yet to break the news to Aki that the tournament is long since over, and that the Pyro Twins currently hold the undisputed RCW Tag Team Championships. The news may never quite reach Aki, but things are coming to a head on their own. For Aki Mann, tonight's match is his last chance in a tournament that he's already missed, and for Swinger it's a chance to capture his first RCW gold. For the Pyro Twins, however, it's just one more day to burn up the competition.
(Tara is shown in the ring again.)
Tara: I can't wait for that big Tag Team Championship match, but the Pyro Twins aren't the only champions in the house tonight. We'll get to the RCW Championship Match in a little bit, but first lets talk a little about Naomi Leach, and how the Ladies RCW Champion made her way into tonight's ladies division tag team match.
(Footage of Naomi Leach vs. Kai Kitta from WrestlingRevolution is shown.)
Jon: Ever since WrestlingRevolution, the world has gotten a better look at the character behind our Ladies RCW Champion, Naomi Leach. Turning her back on her supposed friend Kai Kitta, the female flagbearer for the Renegades has regarded the roster of RCW with distain. No one seems good enough for Leach to consider a strong challenger. Enter Lisa Letty and LuFisto.
(The footage changes to show Lisa and LuFisto's action over the last month.)
Jon: Lisa and LuFisto have busted their asses to show the world just what they can do in the ring. Letty, a young woman who's been proving herself to the fans since the first day of FPPVW, and LuFisto a woman who's earned the nickname around the world of The First Lady of Hardcore, have made a strong case to the effect that they belong in title matches. Naomi Leach however, seems unconvinced, and between her and her "mysterious" Shadow, she seeks to put these two girls back into line, well behind the spotlight and the gold.
(The footage changes to the Heel Stable in action, intercut with footage of Ronin Fox.)
Jon: Moving on to the Heel Stable, this faction of four has hit a strong stride with the pompous British degenerate Austin Lee at the helm. Austin himself, bouncing back from an unsuccessful run for the championship still held by Alan Mayse, has recently set his sights on the Fox. Ronin Fox and Lee ended up on the same team in the eight man tag that began the road to the tonight's RCW Championship Match. Though Fox seemed to have things in hand, he fell to his brother's own Lift Off and took the loss for his team. Austin Lee was incensed. Will the Englishman hunt down the Fox tonight, or will he be outfoxed instead.
(The camera shows Tara in the ring again.)
Tara: That match is going to be intense, Ronin Fox has been a fixture here in RCW from the first day of it's predecessor, but Austin Lee has been the fastest rising star 2004. This one could go either way, and I can't wait to find out the winner with the rest of the crowd here in Cincinnati! That match will be intense, and so will our main event. Chad Collyer challenging our RCW Champion, Alan Mayse.
(Footage of Chad Collyer's path to the match is shown, including numerous interviews, the eight man tag match from two Foundation episodes ago, and the four way dance from the last episode. Then showing Alan Mayse's title defenses from the past few months.)
Jon: Chad Collyer, a man who made a very fast mark before leaving FPPVW has returned to RCW with a vengeance, making it very clear that the only way he'll feel comfortable in this organization, is to stand on top of it as it's champion. He tried making a verbal case for himself, but it turns out he had a better way to convince the matchmakers to put him in the main event spot. Winning a hard fought four way dance for number one contendership, Collyer has made our main event, but how can he stop the force that is Alan Mayse. Alan, who has turned away ever challenger since regaining the FPPVW title in February, and who successfully transitioned the belt to RCW. Chad has said before that RCW needs Collyer, but it seems Alan needs his gold. Which need is stronger? We'll have to wait and see.
(The camera shows Tara in the ring again.)
Tara: Are you ready? Cincinnati tell the world that you're ready for Firestorm! We're just a couple minutes away, and I'm thrilled to be able to bring it into your homes, without Dick Broccoli. It's going to be so great to call a Pay Per View without being bothered by some overweight, sarcastic, sexist...
Voice from the ramp: Well, well, well...
Tara: That the...
(Joel Gertner walks down the aisle and gets in the ring. He's still wearing the neckbrace and bowtie he had in ECW.)
Joel: Cincinnati Ohio, it seems you are in need. And when it comes to fulfilling your needs, I'm there. You see RCW needed a position to be filled, so they called upon me. The man who can just lay down to change the Cincinnati skyline, the quintessential studmuffin, Joel "You ladies might be counting carbs, but starving yourselves will make you ache, but you can fill yourself up and feel good, by sucking down my protein shake" Gertner.
Tara: Oh dear God.
Joel: Like I haven't heard that at the end of every night. Now before I was so rudely interrupted by your applause, I was about to officially announce that the position next to Tara Fisher has been filled with gusto, by myself. Also, I'll be your color commentator.
Tara: What did I do to deserve this?
Joel: Trust me, honey, no one deserves this, they are simply blessed when it passes through.
Tara: In any case, we are set to go live on Pay Per View, if you haven't ordered yet be sure to push that button on your remote or call your cable company, because you don't want to miss Firestorm.
(Fade out, Copyright warning, an opening plays to the tune of "Burning Times" by Iced Earth.)
Tara: Welcome everyone to Cincinnati Ohio, we are here for the Firestorm. Renegade Championship Wrestling has taken over the 5/3 Arena. I'm Tara Fisher.
Joel: And I'm the man who can fill any position on the broadcast team, sitting down standing up or laying across each others...
Tara: I think we've had enough of your introductions for one night, that is Joel Gertner.
Joel: Gladly filling in the spot that even a man named Dick was just plain inadequate for.
("Running With the Devil" hits and Brother Jim makes his way to the ring. He's carrying his thick bible and yelling out sermons to the crowd.)
Joel: I've just seen this man in person for the first time, and I already hate him.
Tara: He seems to have that effect on people, including his opponent tonight. Cynric and Brother Jim despised each other from the moment they laid eyes on each other.
("Soul Creation" hits and Cynric makes his way to the ring. He slides in and he and Brother Jim lock eyes as the ref briefs them on the rules, making sure Brother Jim understands since this is his first RCW match.)
Joel: I'm not here to judge anyone based on religious beliefs, and to be honest I really don't give a damn. I can say very easily though, that Brother Jim is a douchebag.
Tara: I can't believe it, but I agree with you.
Brother Jim vs. Cynric
(Cynric charges forward and locks up with Brother Jim. He quickly applies a side headlock. BJ backs up to the ropes and pushes Cynric off against the ropes on the other side. Cynric tries a clothesline, but BJ ducks under it and picks Cynric up for a back suplex. Cynric rolls to his feet quickly, seeming surprised.)
Tara: Wow, he can actually do something.
(BJ steps forward and the lock up again. Cynric applies an armwringer, but BJ immediately reverses into one of his own, transitioning to a hammerlock. He lets go and quickly moves in front of Cynric to hit a snapmare and put on a rear chinlock. Cynric fights up to his knees and turns to hit a couple elbows to BJ's midsection. He rolls away to get some distance and gets to his feet.)
Joel: Cynric certainly was not expecting this.
Tara: It's still early in the match, but I have to say I didn't think Brother Jim would be able to hang in the ring with Cynric.
(BJ tries to lock up again, but Cynric sneaks in a right hand to the head and sweeps BJ to the mat. Cynric hits an elbow drop on BJ and locks on a fujiwara armbar that is able to keep BJ grounded for a little while. Eventually BJ hooks a foot on the ropes and the ref breaks the hold. BJ is barely able to get to his feet before he's hit with a rolling koppo kick that knocks him through the ropes and to the floor. The ref stops Cynric from following BJ out of the ring and starts the count. BJ stirs on the outside and crawls up onto the ring apron before standing up. Cynric charges and hits a spinning heel kick that knocks BJ back to the outside and against the guardrail. The ref starts the count again, but stops as Cynric leaves the ring for the apron and goes for an elbow smash on the floor. BJ rolls and Cynric hits the floor. BJ uses the guardrail to stand up and pulls Cynric up part way to whip him into the side of the ring. After that he tries to whip Cynric back against the guardrail, but Cynric reverses and sends BJ over the guardrail and into the front row. BJ crawls to the aisle and stands up as Cynric steps up onto the guardrail and jumps off with a front kick. They start brawling through the crowd.)
Joel: Come on, cameramen, keep up with them.
Tara: It didn't take long for things to get way out of hand here.
(The ref is counting, and has reached 7. BJ jabs Cynric in the eye and runs for the ring, jumping over the guardrail and sliding in, breaking the count at 9. Cynric is quickly in the ring too. Cynric charges and hits a clothesline. BJ rolls away and gets up, backing against the ropes and charging for his own clothesline. Cynric ducks under it and hits a hangman's neckbreaker. He covers for two. Cynric pulls BJ up and whips him into the corner. Cynric sets BJ up on the top rope for a back superplex. Cynric climbs up but BJ elbows him in the head and knocks him off the ropes and into the ref, who collapses. BJ drops himself to the mat and reaches into the corner. Cynric recovers and spots BJ down and charges in for the Lift-Off. BJ blocks Cynric's knee with the bible he grabbed from the corner. As Cynric falls back in pain, BJ measures a shot to the head with the bible, placing it back in the corner as he sees the ref stirring. BJ quickly goes to the apron and measures Cynric hitting a somersault guillotine legdrop, keeping Cynric down for the pin.
Winner: Brother Jim by pin.
Joel: Isn't that just like this kind of freak, hiding behind a bible instead of showing any morals. This man makes me sick, and that's saying something.
Tara: It's strange how much I'm agreeing with you, I know it can't last. I also know that Cynric is going to be seriously pissed off when he recovers from this.
Joel: It's humiliating to be sure, but remember what Brother Jim needed to do in order to get the win. Cynric had firm control of the situation for a long time, and that's analysis from a man who knows firm control.
Tara: Does everything have to be some kind of sexual joke to you?
Joel: I take it you didn't watch much ECW.
(Cynric stands up and looks around the ring, Brother Jim is long gone. Cynric seems about to explode but gains control and leaves the ring.)
Tara: He might have gotten a victory here, but I would not want to be Brother Jim right now.
("One Step Closer" hits and Johnny Kashmere and Chris Stylez make their way to the ring.)
Joel: These two men would have fit right in among the ranks of ECW. Not just because they're skilled, but because they are mean, nasty, and more than willing to break someone in half if it will prove a point...or if they get bored.
("Lets All Go to the Lobby" hits and Merchandising Inc. makes their way to the ring, selling dvd copies of RCW Breakout.)
Tara: Merchandising Inc. is here, and they're on a mission to prove that they belong here in RCW. I notice they're selling Breakout dvds our first Pay Per View event from last month, you can now buy those online from shop.PPVrenegade.com.
The Concession Boyz vs. Johnny Kashmere and Chris Stylez
(Sr. and Chris start the match. Concession Girl continues to try and sell dvds to the front few rows. Chris applies an armwringer and turns it into a top wristlock. He forces Sr. down, almost to the mat. Sr. lets himself fall back while aiming a kick to Chris' midsection. He hits a drop toe hold to take Chris down next to him and keeps him grounded with a hammerlock. Chris turns on the mat and rolls to a sitting position. Sr. follows his movements and keeps the hold applied. Chris fights his way up to his feet and hits a jawjacker to break away from Sr. He turns as Sr. is trying to stand and hits a crisp right hand, pulling Sr. into a double underhook backbreaker. He covers for two.)
(Chris tags in Johnny, who hits a yakuza kick that sends Sr. hard into a corner. He charges with a clothesline, but Sr. ducks and hits a jumping reverse crescent kick. He turns to reach for the tag from III, but Johnny grabs his foot and pulls him back before standing and pulling Sr. into a vertical suplex. Johnny rolls through the move into making a cover for two. Sr. kicks out and slips away from Johnny, hitting the ropes and going for a spinning heel kick. Johnny catches Sr. and sets him up on the top rope facing out. He turns and pulls Sr. off into a powerbomb. Johnny drags Sr. to the center of the ring and applies the Comic Atomic. III runs into the ring and breaks the hold with a kick to Johnny's ribs. Johnny gets up and stares down III, who pushes the ref aside and dares Johnny to make a move. Chris gets in the ring and sneaks behind III, spinning him around and hitting a fireman's carry neckbreaker. The ref tries to restore some order and get III and Chris out of the ring while Sr. gets to his feet and charges with a knee to Johnny's midsection. He picks Johnny up for the Dr. Bob Beer Bomb, but Johnny rakes the eyes and gets dropped to his feet. Johnny picks Sr. up and hits the Backseat Driver for a two count. III jumping in with an elbow drop at the last moment.)
(The ref removes III from the ring again as Sr. tries to crawl to the corner. Johnny rolls out of the ring as Chris jumps back inside and stomps Sr.'s back. He pulls Sr. up and sets up for a swinging neckbreaker, but the ref turns around and questions Chris on whether there was a tag. Chris swears there was one as Sr. breaks away and hits a hurricanrana, crawling over finally to make the tag to III.)
(III jumps in and as Johnny slides back into the ring. III hits a spinning heel kick on Johnny to send him back out, and turns to Chris, hitting an STO. He points to the corner and climbs to the top rope. He goes for the Mighty Mint Elbow, but Chris rolls out of the way. He gets up and waits for III to stand, whipping him into the corner and charging with a high dropkick. III stumbles out of the corner and Chris trips him to the mat to apply the Stylez Bridle.)
(Sr. gets in the ring and runs to break the hold, but Johnny slides in and heads him off with a clothesline, quickly locking on the Comic Atomic. He makes sure Sr. faces Chris and III as III is forced to tap out.)
Winners: Johnny Kashmere and Chris Stylez by submission.
(The ref has to threaten both Kashmere and Stylez with fines before they break their holds.)
Tara: CB the 3 had no choice here tonight, he fell to the Stylez Bridle.
Joel: Perhaps Stylez and Kashemere just proved their point. Maybe the Concession Boyz do belong in the stands and not in the ring.
Tara: Well, to be fair the Concession Boyz never asked to be in the ring in the first place. Back in FPPVW the first Concession Boy to compete was literally dragged into the ring. Since then his mentor and a new student have stepped up to defend him and themselves and have become a fixture here in RCW. Do they deserve that status though? That might be in question after tonight.
Joel: Well I know a few things. One, the Concession Boyz went down hard in the ring. Two, I'd like to see Concession Girl go down hard later tonight. Three, this next match is bound to be my favorite.
Tara: Ick...nothing against the athletes about to enter the arena, but I know it's not the athleticism you're concerned with.
Joel: Nonsense, athleticism is very important. A woman has to keep in great shape to do this thing I like, she puts her legs on...
Tara: Just stop talking.
("Come Out Swinging" hits and Lisa Letty makes her way to the ring. She passes by Merchandising Inc, and Concession Girl tries to sell her a dvd. A few moments after she's in the ring, "Fell in Love With a Girl" hits and LuFisto makes her way to the ring. They confer with eachother, seeming focused though not friendly.)
Tara: This is an uneasy alliance of sorts. Both these women have their eye on the Ladies' RCW Championship held by Naomi Leach.
Joel: I've got my eye on plenty in this match.
Tara: Can we have a towel crew on alert in case Joel Gertner explodes at ringside?
("Fall Behind Me" by the Donnas hits and Naomi Leach makes her way to the ring, followed soon after by Shadow.)
Joel: Naomi Leach impresses the hell out of me each time I see her, and her Shadow...something about a woman with an air of mystery.
Tara: She'd break you in half if you tried.
Joel: Might be worth it.
Naomi Leach and Shadow vs. Lisa Letty and LuFisto
(Lisa starts the match. Naomi is in the ring staring her down. As she does, Shadow goes to the corner and steps onto the apron, only to quickly jump onto the top rope and hit a missile dropkick on Lisa as the bell rings.)
(LuFisto, just having stepped onto the apron, jumps back in and rushes Shadow, but Shadow whips her to the ropes and hits a flying headscissor on the rebound. Lisa stands up whips Shadow to the corner chest first. She pulls Shadow back and sends her into the middle turnbuckle shoulder first. She turns Shadow over, sitting up and leaning on the turnbuckles and backs up to aim a knee to the face. Shadow ducks the knee and rolls Lisa up for a two count. Lisa kicks out strong and trips Shadow down, hitting a knee to the side of the head to stun her before applying a bow and arrow lock. Shadow refuses to tap out, and Lisa lets go of the hold to tag in LuFisto.)
(LuFisto pulls Shadow to her feet and puts her in a side headlock, leading her closer to the face corner before taking her down with a bulldog and locking on a reverse chinlock, trapping Shadow's leg at the same time. Shadow reaches for the ropes. Lisa reaches in and tags herself in. LuFisto releases the hold and Lisa hits a slingshot legdrop on the back of Shadow's head. She pulls Shadow to her feet and gives her a knife edge chop to keep her in the corner. Lisa climbs to the second rope and hits ten right hands before climbing to the top rope and hitting a hurricanrana. She crawls to make a cover for two.)
(Shadow rolls to the ropes and climbs to her feet. Lisa charges, but Shadow ducks down and sends her over the top rope with a back body drop. Lisa barely hangs onto the top rope and lands on the apron. Shadow turns to face her, and Lisa hits a shoulder to the midsection and goes for a sunset flip. Shadow grabs the ropes and kneels down for the pin, the ref counting two before seeing Shadow holding the ropes. The ref admonishes her and orders her to break the pin.)
Tara: Referee Becky Junker is asserting herself well early on in this match.)
Joel: Great to see a chick wearing the stripes and being able to keep them on.
(Shadow pulls Lisa up and hits a back suplex, then rolls Lisa over to lock on a half Boston crab. She looks to Naomi, who shakes her head.)
Tara: I wonder what that little signal was for? What's Naomi saying no to?
(Shadow pulls back on the move before releasing it and pulling Lisa up into a Dragon Sleeper. She rolls to her back and applies a bodyscisors at the same time. Lisa fights the hold, but is unable to escape. She almost taps out, but LuFisto runs in with a kick to Shadow's back. Shadow releases Lisa and stands up, getting hit with a sidewalk slam. Lisa locks on another bow and arrow lock while the ref gets LuFisto out of the ring. Once Lisa feels recovered enough, she lets go of the hold and rolls to the corner, tagging in LuFisto. LuFisto runs in with a hard kick to Shadow's head as she tries to stand, then pulls her up to go for a powerbomb. Shadow gets lifted up, but struggles free and lands behind LuFisto, turning to hit a back suplex. She mounts LuFisto and starts choking her, breaking at the last moment when the ref threatens disqualification. She stands up and stomps on LuFisto, looking over at Naomi, who once again shakes her head.)
(LuFisto grabs Shadows foot and twists, tripping Shadow down for an ankle lock. Shadow turns on the mat and kicks LuFisto off. Shadow rolls backward to get to her feet and charges forward with a clothesline, but LuFisto catches her and hits a spinebuster, covering for two. LuFisto pulls Shadow up by the hair and calls for the LuFisto Launcher. She picks Shadow up in the fireman's carry, but Shadow rakes the eyes and falls back, turning it into a crucifix rollup. LuFisto kicks out at two. Shadow gets up and steps behind LuFisto as she stands up, stalking her before hitting the Shadowfall. She stands and backs up, posing, but before she can make the cover, Naomi tags herself in. She gets in the ring, brushing past Shadow, and makes the cover. LuFisto kicks out at two. Naomi stands up, looking furious, and starts yelling at Shadow, blaming the kickout on Shadow not hitting her move right. She turns back to LuFisto in time to get with with a fallaway slam. LuFisto rolls to her corner and tags in Lisa Letty. LuFisto turns back toward Naomi and hits a hard elbow drop before dragging her closer to the corner. Lisa climbs to the top rope as LuFisto pulls Naomi to her feet. Lisa hits the Letty Press as LuFisto lets go and charges Shadow in the corner, knocking her off the apron. Lisa covers for three.)
Winners: Lisa Letty and LuFisto by pin.
Joel: What the? It's over! Lisa Letty has just pinned the Ladies RCW Champion!
Tara: What was Naomi thinking? Shadow had the match won!
Joel: But Naomi was never in the ring until then. She couldn't let Shadow be in the spotlight, then she wouldn't be a shadow!
Tara: It's a very simple matter of teamwork and unity. Lisa Letty and LuFisto might not like eachother, but they knew they had a hard task ahead so they got together as a unit. Naomi was so worried about giving signals for Shadow and swooping in to try and take the glory, that she forgot just how tough these two women are.
(Shadow gets in the ring as Naomi starts ranting, clearly putting all the blame on Shadow. At one point Naomi looks like she's about to slap Shadow, but Shadow doesn't react in any way. Shaking her head, Naomi turns and leaves the ring, walking away. Shadow soon follows after.)
Tara: Naomi looks humiliated.
Joel: She's the champion and she just ended up with her shoulders down for three. That's humiliating for anyone who ever holds a belt. You're supposed to be the best, can you imagine the kind of leverage Lisa Letty will have now if she requests a title match?
Tara: Very astute analysis, actually.
Joel: Hey, I can analyze with the best of them, especially when the subject has that big a ra...
Tara: Moving on, if we can, we still have three huge matches.
(The Aki Mann theme hits and Swinging Justice makes their way to the ring.)
Joel: Now this is just plain wacky. So, Aki Mann is supposed to be a superhero I take it.
Tara: That's right.
Joel: What are his powers?
Tara: Uh...hmm.
("Fuel" hits and the Pyro Twins make their way to the ring.)
Joel: Anyway, lets hope he's able to harness the power of gold. Perhaps then he has a change to take home a title belt.
The Pyro Twins vs. Swinging Justice
RCW Tag Team Championship Match
(Jay starts out against Swinger. They trade right hands, Swinger getting the upper hand at first. He backs up and charges with a clothesline, but Jay ducks and hits a knife edge chop that stuns Swinger. Jay continues the assault with right hands followed by chops that back Swinger against the ropes. Jay whips Swinger across the ring and charges with a shoulder block that sends Swinger through the ropes and to the outside. The ref starts the count, Jay crouching down, ready to strike. Swinger gets up on the apron at 4 and steps partway inside. Jay charges and Swinger backs out to the apron again and drops to the floor as Jay swings at him. Swinger quickly reaches under the ropes and trips Jay, climbing back onto the apron and hitting a slingshot elbowdrop. He then rolls over to tag in Aki.)
(Aki goes to the top rope and strikes a dramatic pose. He hits a missile dropkick on Jay when he stands back up, and puts him in a hammerlock laying face down on the mat. Jay turns and gets to a sitting position, knocking Aki loose with a couple well placed elbows to the head. Jay stands and turns toward Aki, pulling him up and hitting an STO, covering for a two count. Jay drags Aki to the corner and tags in Dusty. Jay picks Aki up again and hits a backbreaker, holding him as Dusty goes to the top rope and hits the Mandate of Heaven. Dusty pulls Aki up and shoves him into the corner, throwing rights and lefts until Aki sinks to a sitting position, then starts stomping him, then chokes him with a boot, breaking on the count of 4. He backs away from the corner as the ref checks on Aki, then charges with a knee to the head. He steps back and waves Aki on, daring him to stand back up. He does so and Dusty gives him a boot to the midsection, setting him up for a powerbomb. Aki struggles and latches on to one of Dusty's legs, tripping him down and applying the Aki Ankle Lock. Dusty grabs the ropes quickly and breaks the hold with a solid kick to Aki's head that sends Aki rolling to the opposite corner. He looks up and tags in Swinger.)
(Swinger jumps over the top rope and runs toward Dusty. Jay gets a blind tag as Dusty ties up with Swinger. Swinger tries to whip Dusty into the corner, but Dusty reverses it and whips Swinger to the ropes, hitting a double leg trip on his rebound. He and Jay run the ropes and hit the Compactor. Jay covers for two, Aki breaking the pin with an elbow drop. Dusty grabs him by the back of the mask and pulls him to his feet, hitting a uranage suplex and rolling him out of the ring. Jay pulls Swinger up and takes him over in a judo arm throw, locking on a triangle hold. Swinger refuses to submit, but can't escape the hold. On the outside, Dusty rams Aki Mann headfirst into the ringsteps. He then reaches under the ring and pulls out a small can. He sprays something onto Aki from the can and reaches into his back pocket to pull out a small book of matches. He's about to light them when Aki hits an elbow to the midsection and a drop toe hold that sends Dusty headfirst onto the steel steps. Aki slides in the ring and hits a dropkick to the back of Jay, who releases Swinger and stands up to face Aki. The ref gets between them and pushes Aki back, ordering him out of the ring. Dusty reaches in and pulls Aki out of the ring again. As the ref turns back to Jay and Swinger, Dusty lights a match and throws it down. It hits Aki's boot, and the boot catches fire. As Aki stomps his foot in a panic to put out the flame, Dusty slides back in the ring, where Jay has pulled Swinger to his feet. They hit Final Darkness and Jay covers for the pin.)
Winners: The Pyro Twins by pin
Joel: Where's Aki! Make sure he's out.
Tara: I can't believe the ref didn't see that. Aki's foot was burning right before our eyes.
(Aki finally puts out the fire with an extinguisher handed to him by a ring crew tech. The Pyro Twins celebrate in the ring and leave, holding up their titles. Swinger stays in the ring, looking worried. He glances over at Aki who is sliding into the ring. They stand, looking at each other for a few long moments.
Tara: It's sinking in now. In Aki's mind, this was his last chance in the Ohio Tag Team Tournament. How is he going to take this loss?
Joel: He could actually explode here on Pay Per View.
(Swinger walks over to Aki, looking him in the eye, trying to gage his reaction. Aki shakes his head, snaps his fingers and can be heard saying "darn.")
Joel: That's it? Darn? I mean he's been under this delusion of being part of a tournament for about half a year, and when he finally sees that it's over he says "darn"?
(Aki pats Swinger on the arm and motions for him to follow. Aki strikes a dramatic pose and nimbly runs and slides out of the ring, going quickly up the aisle. Swinger shrugs and follows after at a much slower pace.)
(Backstage, Alan is in his street clothes walking to his locker room. Behind him, Chad Collyer walks up, already in his gear.)
Chad: Well hello. Look who isn't even ready. A fine example you're setting for the locker room. I suppose that's the experience factor for you. I've been ready for the last hour, and now I suppose just like in our match tonight, you're going to be trying to catch up. It's like I thought before, this place definitely needs Collyer on top, so it can have a champion that takes his work seriously.
Alan: Well...Collyer. If you really think you take this belt more seriously than me, then you really should try and take it. If you think it's going to be easy, then go ahead and just roll over me. If you think I don't deserve this belt, then yes you should get it away from me. After you try, I'll be the one walking to the back holding the RCW Championship high.
(Alan turns and goes into his locker room.)
("The Way I Am" hits and Austin Lee makes his way to the ring.)
Tara: Our main event is still to come, Chad Collyer has a lot of confidence to be sure.
Joel: You have to respect that confidence, that alone can win a match in the right moment.
Tara: Then why don't you have a good win loss record?
Joel: Maybe not in the ring, but I've accumulated a very high score over the years.
Tara: That aside, we've got another huge match right here, the leader of the Heel Stable on his way out.
(Wherever I May Roam" hits and Ronin Fox makes his way to the ring.)
Joel: And the man who beat the former leader of the Heel Stable a few months ago at WrestlingRevolution.
Tara: These two have been at each others throats the last couple weeks. Austin Lee blames Ronin Fox for taking both of them out of contention for the RCW Championship in the eight man tag match
Austin Lee vs. Ronin Fox
(Austin and Fox circle and lock up. Fox hits an armdrag, but Austin rolls and spins around, tripping Fox down and missing with an elbow drop. Fox gets to his feet and backs up as Austin stands. They lock up again, Austin taking Fox down with a double leg trip. He goes for the Crimson Cloverleaf early, but Fox kicks him away and rolls backward to his feet, running forward with a dropkick to the chest. He stands again and drags Austin to the corner, climbing up for the top rope. Austin stands quickly though and hits a forearm to the back. He turns and powerbombs Fox off the ropes. Austin flips Fox over and applies a surfboard. He releases and puts on a rear chinlock. Fox forces his way up and backs Austin into a corner, hitting two elbows to the gut. Fox breaks away and whips Austin to the opposite corner and charges with a shoulderblock. He whips Austin back to the first corner and charges for a clothesline. Austin ducks under it and hits a hangman's neckbreaker. Fox rolls to the outside.)
(Austin stays in as the ref begins the count, seeing Fox try and get back into the ring at 5. Austin runs and misses with a baseball slide. Fox grabs him by the leg and pulls him the rest of the way out of the ring, where he lands on his feet. Fox sets Austin up for a Tiger Buster. Austin back body drops him and slides back into the ring at 7. Fox gets up and slides in too. Austin tries to stomp him, Fox grabs his foot and twists, taking Austin down and applying an STF. Austin grabs the bottom rope. Fox lets go of the hold and drags Austin to the center of the ring. He hits the ropes and aims a sliding kick to Austin's side. He does it again and locks on an armbar. Austin fights up and grabs Fox's arm, applying an armwringer. Fox reverses it and Austin rakes his eyes, hitting a DDT and covering for two. Austin tries again for the Crimson Cloverleaf, almost locking it on, but Fox twists around and Austin looses his balance, letting Fox reach the ropes. Fox gets up as Austin turns and tries a sidekick. Fox catches his leg and hits a dragon screw legwhip. He backs up and signals for the Tail End. He charges, but Austin ducks. He hits a right hand that stuns Fox and tries for a vertical suplex. Fox struggles free and lands behind Austin, hitting a German suplex, bridging for two.)
(Austin kicks out and rolls to one knee, keeping Fox down on the mat with a hard right. He stands and hits a swift kick to Fox's back. He goes to the top rope and hits an elbow drop, hooking the leg to get a two count. Austin stands up and stomps Fox. He pulls Fox closer to the ropes and goes to the ring apron, hitting a slingshot legdrop for another two count. Frustrated, Austin pulls Fox up and signals for the Degenerate Driver. He lifts Fox up, but Fox slips away, landing on his feet and hits a Tiger Buster. He goes to the top rope quickly and watches for Austin to stand. Fox goes for the Fox Fire, but Austin ducks. Fox lands hard and stands up looking dazed, and Austin hits him with the Degenerate Driver for a three count.)
Winner: Austin Lee by pin.
Tara: I can't believe it, Austin Lee gets the pin over Ronin Fox! He even did it on his own!
Joel: I can't think of any match I've seen between him and Nykk where Nykk won cleanly, looks like the Heel Stable is truly under superior management.
("Seek and Destroy" hits and keeps playing, Joey Sprinkers and the Pyro Twins walk toward the ring.)
Tara: Oh no, don't do this.
(They slide in the ring. The Pyro Twins pull Fox to his feet and Joey hands a chair to Austin. Austin measures Fox and blasts him in the head with the chair, busting him open. The Pyro Twins reposition Fox to stand up straighter for another chairshot, then they let go of him and hit Final Darnkess. Austin throws down the chair and applies the Crimson Cloverleaf as Joey starts stomping Fox's head. Dusty pulls a can out of his pocket and starts pouring it on Fox's back. Jay gets out a zippo.)
Tara: Haven't we seen enough of this tonight?
Joel: Looks like we're about to see some real Fox Fire!
(Alan Mayse runs out, dropping his title belt outside the ring as he slide in and takes out Joey and the Pyro Twins with right hands. They roll out of the ring as Austin lets go of the hold and turns to face Alan. After a moment they start trading punches. Austin whips Alan to the ropes and tries for a boot to the head, but Alan catches the boot and holds on as Fox recovers enough to crawl behind Austin's feet. Alan pushes Austin over Fox. As Austin gets up, Fox rolls out of the way and Alan runs past to hit a running dropkick that sends Austin out of the ring. Fox gets to his feet and Alan checks on him. After a few moments Fox walks back up the aisle.)
Tara: A hard fought match, and a near disaster afterward. It's a good thing Alan Mayse was set to come out for his match.
Joel: I wonder if Fox sees it that way, he's got to be feeling some sting from losing to Austin Lee, and the fact that he needed Alan's help to get away just might be eating at him.
Tara: We'll see about that, but for now we've got our main event. It's traditional for the champion to enter the ring last, but it looks like that's going to be skipped for today. Bring on the challenger.
("Son of a Bitch" hits and Chad Collyer makes his way to the ring. Before sliding in he picks up the RCW championship belt left behind by Alan and takes a good look at it, tossing it in the ring before him.)
Tara: Let's hand it over to Mike Lyles.
Mike: Ladies and Gentlemen, this will be our main event for Firestorm 2004. It is scheduled for one fall, and is for the RCW Championship. Your referee is Erik Bower. Introducing first, in the corner to my left, the challenger. From Liberty, Indiana, weighing in tonight at 217 pounds. This is Chaaaad Collyer!
Joel: A man of great experience in the world of wrestling.
Mike: And to my right, from Bellbrook Ohio and weighing in at 230 pounds. The first, and only RCW Champion, this is Alaaaaan Maaaayse!
Alan Mayse vs. Chad Collyer
RCW Championship Match
(Alan and Chad start to circle each other.)
Joel: This is a very interesting match, though Alan Mayse is the champion, Chad Collyer is the far more experienced of the two. Alan's spent his entire professional career as part of this promotion, starting out from the very beginning of FPPVW, gaining the first title offered in it, and transitioning into RCW. Chad Collyer on the other hand has toured with numerous promotions and has a strong amateur background. He was twice a NCAA National Finalist in 95 and 97, winning the West Regional Championship in 95. He's held both the Heavyweight and Cruiserweight titles in HWA, and the NWA Middleweight title. During a time working under a developmental deal with WWE he chalked up some notable wins against the likes of Shannon More, Brian "Spanky" Kendrick and Renee Dupre.
Tara: Once again we'd like to thank obsessedwithwrestling.com for the information.
(Alan locks up with Chad and takes him down with a hip toss. Chad is up on his knees quick and chop blocks Alan to the mat. He gets a hammerlock on Alan, but Alan forces his way up and reverses it, transitioning to a full nelson. He picks Chad up for a full nelson slam and drops a knee to the midsection. He goes for a cover, but Chad breaks free before the count and rolls away. He stands and circles around Alan again. Alan reaches for Chad, Chad ducks under Alan's arm and tries for a release German suplex. Alan blocks and rolls forward, taking Chad down and trying for an ankle lock. Chad quickly rolls onto his back and kicks Alan away, kiping up to his feet. Chad ducks a right hand and hits a northern lights suplex, getting a one count.)
(Chad waits for Alan to stand and misses with a clothesline. Alan hits the ropes and goes for a dropkick, that Chad sidesteps. Chad pulls Alan up for a butterfly suplex and goes to the top rope. He hits a senton bomb, rolling up and turning to run the ropes, hitting a sliding kick to Alan's ribs. Chad pulls Alan closer to the center of the ring and applies a side figure four leglock, Alan fighting it, but refusing to tap out. He gets close to the ropes, but Chad releases the hold first and jumps up, stomping Alan and dragging him back, applying a Texas Cloverleaf. Alan struggles and eventually crawls to the ropes, grabbing the bottom one to break the hold.)
Tara: Chad Collyer, yet another competitor with a knack for the Texas Cloverleaf.
Joel: Certainly, the man was trained by Dean Malenko after all.
(Chad pulls Alan up and whips him into the corner. He charges right into a boot to the face. Alan pushes up on the ropes and sits on the top turnbuckle. Chad turns back to the corner and is caught with a double axhandle. Alan locks Chad into the Maysochist. Chad seems about to tap out, but holds on. Alan releases the hold and runs the ropes, hitting a dropkick to the head of Chad, keeping him down. He covers for two.)
(Chad pushes Alan back as he stands, and the lock up. Chad hits a knee to the midsection and tries to pull Alan into a DDT. Alan trips Chad back and stays vertical, jumping over Chad to hit an elbow drop to the chest. He pulls Chad's head up into a rear chinlock. Chad hooks his foot under the bottom rope to break the hold, and he slides to the outside. He takes his time to recover, Alan trying to get out of the ring to continue the fight. The ref holds him back then begins the count. At 7, as Chad is walking toward the ring, Alan gets past the ref and hits a slingshot dropkick. Chad rolls up the aisle and backs up as he uses the guardrail to stand. Alan dares him to come back, and Chad charges. Alan catches him and hits a backbreaker before turning to slide into the ring. He breaks the count at 8 and rolls right back out. He pulls Chad halfway to his feet and gets an elbow in the midsection. Alan backs up and gets hit with a superkick. Chad gets up on the ring apron and measures carefully before hitting a Firebird Splash onto the floor. Chad is barely able to crawl into the ring at 7. The ref starts counting again, Alan gets up to his knees and starts trying to crawl up into the ring at 6. Chad hits a baseball slide and rolls back out. Alan fights back with some right hands, but Chad stops him with a hard knife edge chop and tries to whip him into the ringpost. Alan stops and holds on, trying to reverse the whip. When Chad resists, Alan hits a kick to the midsection and sets Chad up for the Tiger Bomb.)
Tara: He's going to deliver the Tiger Bomb on the outside?
Joel: Look out, keep the EMT's on standby.
(Alan picks Chad up, but Chad breaks free and lands on his feet, stooping down to pick Alan up in a fireman's carry. He takes a step back and hits the spinning DVD)
Tara: Holy!
Joel: I can't believe he did that.
(Chad rolls back in the ring, sitting up and watching as Alan lays motionless on the outside. The ref counts him out and signals for the bell.)
Winner: Chad Collyer by countout.
Tara: Bad news for both these men, Alan Mayse has lost an RCW title match for the first time, but Chad doesn't get to take the title on a countout victory.
Joel: I'm not sure, but I think Chad is content for now. Any kind of victory of the champion is at the least leverage for the future.
Tara: But it's going to seem rather cold in the hotel room without the light shining off that belt.
Joel: Well when I'm cold in the hotel I just have...
Tara: Stop!
(Chad stands up and leaves the ring as Alan gets up to his feet, barely. Chad actually extends his hand and the crowd applauds the sportsmanship.)
Tara: Well this is surprising, I can't say I could have seen this coming with the way Chad Collyer's been acting the past couple...
(Alan takes Chad's hand, and Chad pulls him into a fireman's carry, hitting another Spinning DVD.)
Tara: Son of a...
Joel: Did you see that coming?
Tara: I should have.
Joel: You know what you can always see coming?
Tara: If you know what's good for you, you won't say it, remember what happened to the last guy in that chair.
(Chad poses over the motionless form of Alan.)
Joel: This is a very profound message being sent by Chad Collyer here. Will it be heeded? We'll find out in the weeks to come.
Tara: Thank you for joining us here on Pay Per View for RCW Firestorm. For Joel Gertner, this is Tara Fisher. Good night.
