Road To the Revolution Update-January 18, 2005: Jon Z The first man to qualify for round two has been decided. Cynric battled Chris Stylez tonight on Foundation and secured his spot with a decisive win. Cynric had some words on the subject after the night wound down: "I feel like I'm coming into my own finally in RCW. My career had a rocky start, battling through injuries in my first year and a few false starts and stops along the way. This tournament is just the opportunity I needed in this company." Cynric's brother Ronin Fox also scored a win to save his spot in the tournament brackets, but it wasn't without contraversey. With a loss to Brother Jim, then a tainted victory against CM Punk, Fox is growing frustrated that he hasn't been able to pull together a decisive victory in the tournament: "I haven't gone through a trial like this for a few months. Things seemed to get easier once I won the RCW Television Title, and now the confidence I built is shaken a little bit. Somehow I suppose I let the scope of the tournament take me out of my game. I'm not going to let that stop me now, though. I have a second chance to prove myself at Genesis when I face Brother Jim and Punk together, and I don't plan on disapointing myself or my fans." Noises Off with Zac Hensley-January 18, 2005 Well the grumblings backstage reached a fevered pitch and erupted into shouts at the actions of the Pyro Twins on Foundation tonight. The locker room in general is disgusted at the stunt the two Heel Stable members pulled in thier "match" against Swinging Justice. We understand that Swinger has not actually suffered a concussion, and the burns that he and Aki Mann suffered are superficial, but the potential for serious injury in this situation has forced drastic measures on behalf of RCW Chairman, Jon Z. His statement to me when I asked what actions would be taken were: "The Pyro Twins, as of this moment, are suspended from tag team action. Both men are still entered in the Road to the Revolution, and I will not compromise the brackets by removing them, but RCW officals are being instructed not to schedule any tag team matches for them, or in fact, to schedule both of them on the same night. If Jay Crowe is in the building, Dusty Schneble is banned from entering and vice versa. This, coupled with a hefty fine, hopefully will send a message to Jay and Dusty that actions of this nature will not be tollerated." |
