Austin Lee was added to the FPPVW Roster in September of 2003 in the first restructuring of the company.  He made his debut on the September 19, 2003 Foundation with an easy victory over Cheesecake.  Although his first large event ended in defeat when he faced Ronin Fox at Bloodbath 2003, he would claim a level of dominance in lower card matches throughout the months.  Despite this, his most memorable moment in his early FPPVW career came with a loss.  After Cheesecake aired footage of Austin scratching his ass in the ring, another match was signed between the two.  Austin took the opportunity to bust Cheesecake open with the ringbell in barbaric fashion, drawing a disqualification.

Austin became a true breakout star in 2004 as he won the first ever Four Corner Gauntlet Match on March 13, which earned him a main event match at WrestlingRevolution I against FPPVW Champion Alan Mayse.  Although he would come up short in the match, he pushed Alan Mayse to the limit.  The rematch was quickly signed, and Austin Lee once again came within a hair of winning the FPPVW Championship in a hard fought ladder match.

Shortly after his dissapointments in the title race, a break would come from an unexpected place when Heel Stable leader Nykk left the promotion in June of 2004.  Austin would take the leader role upon himself as FPPVW became RCW, and the Heel Stable did see more success than it had in the months previous, as Austin himself vastly improved in the ring, having a match of the year candidate contest with Ronin Fox on August 28 at RCW Firestorm 2004.  The role of leader did not last long however, as he found himself booked in a match against a returning Nykk at Homecoming Hell 2004.  At the end of this match, the entire Heel Stable turned thier back on Austin, helping Nykk win the match and falling into place behind him.  Throughout the rest of 2004, Austin Lee searched for a new place on the roster, forming uneasy alliances with former enemies like Ronin Fox and Alan Mayse.  A strong blow was struck against the Heel Stable when Austin and Alan Mayse surprised The Pyro Twins with a challenge for the RCW Tag Team Championships on Foundation, leading to Austin Lee's first RCW title, shared with the very man he battled so many times for titles in the past.
