in trouble where should I go first for
comfort?
| Since God is our ultimate comfort, his Word is our greatest
resource for comfort. God's Word is as close as our
fingertips, and God himself is as close as our whispered
prayer. |

Jesus Christ who gave us everlasting comfort and good hope, comfort
your hearts and give you strength in every good thing you do and
say. |
How does God give us
comfort?
| God
comforts us when we grieve, are discouraged or overwhelmed, when we
are persecuted and rejected, in the midst of conflict, when we are
afraid, when we are ill and when we wonder about our
futures. Jesus is always there waiting for us to realize
that he can give us the longing of our souls. So often we
think that there has got to be "something" on this earth that could
fill us. Jesus is the only one who can fill that
longing. |
Psalm 145:14
The Lord
helps the fallen and lifts up those bent beneath their
loads. |
Romans 8:28
And we know
that God causes everything to work together for the good of those
who love him and are called by
him. |
It's not
always easy living for Christ, but God's word is "very" clear, he will
"never" leave us nor forsake us!
