STRANGE MUTATIONS!
None of these photos have been retouched in any way. All of these interesting birds are either a natural or medical mutation. These are photos I've collected over the years. If you have a new mutation and would like it posted, just get me a photo and write a little blurb, and I will try to post it here.
This one was found  on the Outer Banks of North Carolina at a pet store called Charlotte's Web.
These are HALF-SIDER BUDGIES. They are very rare because they are sterile. They have different colors on each side of their bodies.
These are FEATHER DUSTER BUDGIES. Can you tell which end is which?  They are a very short-lived,  about 6-12 weeks. Their feathers don't stop growing.
This is a combination of the bird varieties above.  Half of it is a FEATHER DUSTER GREY GREEN, and the other side is a NORMAL LIGHT GREEN. Really interesting.
This is a FULL CIRCULAR CREST BUDGIE. They are a fertile variety, and also my favorite.
WHITE/SCARLET MACAW. This is not an albino, as it has blue primaries, secondaries and tail. This is one of several from a pair of normal scarlets. They were bred at Birds INT'L in the Phillipines.
This is a RED PIED PEACH FACE LOVEBIRD. This, along with all of its clutch mates, died from liver disfunction. This can account for the orange coloration.
This is a Rainbow Eclectus who suffers from Hypothyroidism. The medication causes the unusual feathers. She belongs to Diana LaFleur
This is a female ECLECTUS  from the United Kingdom. Isn't she a beauty.
TThis is a CONGO GREY with some very unusual pink feathers.
This is an Albino Congo from CAP Dream Bird in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, Japan
This is a RED LORED AMAZON. Is it a true pied or does it have a vitamin deficiency?  Whatever it is, it is different.
Pied Senegal from Porter Birds
Cinnamon Waglers Conure from Hills Country Avairys.
