American Pie

				American Pie follows the sexual exploits of four friends who are desperate to lose their virginities before they leave high school.  From foreign exchange students, through mature ladies to pale ale. I doubt that this film will win any awards it is relatively entertaining though not at all as realistic as the film makers would like you to believe.  I think that the acting from a largely unknown cast is passable, though most of them probably didn't have to act that much.  The comedy is there and in places does stand up to repeat viewings, and while this film was successful upon release I think that it will date very very very quickly.  If you want a simply fun, teen comedy then they really don't come (excuse the pun) any better than American Pie.  Ignore the inferior sequels and seek this one out it is a good laugh. A delicious 4 out of 5
