"Look at you way up there, why Mr. Conway, I should"...."Now, now Mrs. Johnson, I just gave them a ride home after they got themselves a real good fright seeing a big, loud tractor for the first time. Don't worry I have them seated safely."said Mr. Conway. " Well," said Grandma, "I suppose I should be thanking you for getting them home safe, come on in all of you, I just baked a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies and they are still nice and warm." "Yippee!" yelled Kyle and Kara as Mr. Conway helped them down from the tractor. "Thank you Mr. Conway, for the most exiting ride we ever had!" "Glad to be of help, what do you say let's get inside and have some of those cookies before they get cold, hmm? "You bet!" the children said. They all ran into the house and over a nice warm cup of hot chocolate, ate Grandma's delicious cookes and talked about their day and laughed. That night they fell fast asleep and dreamt about the wonderful adventure they had in the woods that day. A little scary, lots of fun, and warm chocolate chip  cookies...                                                                   Lee

BUBBLES, BUBBLES ALL AROUND-
AS THEY MAKE THEIR BULB-BLUB SOUND-
RISING SLOWLY TO THE TOP-
IF YOU BREAK ONE, IT GOES 'POP'!

I SAW ONE ONCE WHILE AT THE FAIR--
FLOATING ALONG ON A GUST OF AIR-
I TRIED TO CATCH IT, BUT IT WAS FAST-
WHEN UP TO THE SKY IT ROSE AT LAST-
I WATCHED THIS BUBBLE WAY UP HIGH-
IT SPARKLED  AS IT HIT THE SKY-

AT LAST, TOO FAR FOR ME TO SEE-

THE BUBBLE WINKED GOODBYE TO ME!

Have you ever looked into a fish tank and wondered what it might be like to live in such a place? Of course only fish can live there because they can breath under the water and they cannot live outside of it. Just like we cannot live underwater because we need air to breath. But when you look inside, it is your imagination that starts to work, and you can use it to make up stories, games, and when you are alone, it can give you something wonderful, the ability  to play all on your own.
So even if you are home sick and cannot go out to play, you can always make up stories, write them down, and read them to your family or friends, or keep them to yourself. Your imagination is special to you and when you learn to use it, you will have lots of fun!

This is a mini story...one about a brother and sister named Kara and Kyle. Their Mom and Dad took them up tothe country to visit their Grandma Johnson. They did not get a chance to see her very often, she lived far away. After they arived and had lunch, they decided to take a walk into the woods. "Be careful" said Grandma, and be back for supper" It was a hot summer's day. They began there walk with the sun shing brightly through the trees and the the chirping of the birds all around them. As they walked and walked they passed a babbling brook and took off there shoes and went went in and and splashed around to cool off. Kyle spotted a frog and wanted to put it in his pocket to take home with him but kara told him that it belonged in the pond and would be very unhappy anywhere else. Besides it was too hot and the frog needs water just like we do. So he left it and they went on with there walk. As they passed through some tall trees they both jumped as a loud growl came from just ahead! They jumped back, but the sound of heavy foot steps came near, and they were so frightened they couldn't move. Suddenly something came crushing in on the bushes in front of them, they closed their eyes and out of the blue they heard 'hey there! You had better be more careful children, I could have run you down with this tracter of mine"! They carefully opened their eyes and saw a giant machine with big wheels. Up on top was a man with a plaid shirt looking way down at them. They just stood there. "Haven't you ever seen a tractor before? Oh you must be visiting Mrs. Johnson, you're from the city.I am Mr. Conway from the farm next down the road. Well, no wonder the growl of my big machine here frightened you! I'm sorry, here, how would you like me to take you both back to her house on the tractor? Kara and Kyle looked at one another with a mix of fear and exitement, tempted yet hesitant. Suddenly they both yelled out "OK"! and started to head toward the huge machine when they realized, climbing up was not that easy. Mr.Conway helped them. When they reached the top they were up sp high they could see much more around them, and the way that tractor could just run right over even the biggest weeds and bushes was amazing to them. Meanwhile, there Grandma was starting to get worried. She stood outside the house looking and calling for them. She started toward the woods to search for them but didn't know which way to go, when suddenly, she heard the far off sound of a tractor. What on earth?, she thought. She watched in the direction of the noise and then she heard voices yelling "Hi Grandma! Look, it's us! Up here!" Grandma looked up as the tractor came rolling into her lawn and there way up on top were her two smiling Grandchildren."My goodness!. yelled Grandma, you scared me half to death! Where on earth have you two been?"
