Lets face it- if it isn't yor job, family illness, caring for others, there is always something to keep stress clinging to you like sap to a tree. Now that they have finally proven that stress plays a role in many major illnesses, it should most definitely be looked at and treated with knowledge and taken sriously.. It is no longer a 'something that you can live with-no big deal' or 'I don't have stress in my life, what are you talking about?' Hmmmmm there are many links I will attach to this page so you can read them for yourself. Even children have stress- so much so that at times it can be damaging in more ways than ever imagined. This is one reason why we must take a look at our lives and prioritiize, and always take the time for ourselves, as doing that is not a selfish thing, but a selfless thing. It gives time we need to regain out strength, to have self happiness or moments of it, and then we can avoid the possible health and misery it would like to cause us.We can become happier, healthier and more giving human beings. I call stress 'it' because it can be 'dealt' with as if a separate entity in a way. |
Until the pain of remaining the same hurts more than the pain of change, most people prefer to remain the same. - Dr. Richard D. Dobbins SOMETIMES WE THINK WE CAN NEVER GET OUT OF THE 'RUT' WE FIND OURSELVES IN-BUT THAT IS NOT TRUE-TAKE A BREATH, SIT BACK AND THINK ABOUT YOUR LIFE SERIOUSLY AND WHAT IS MAKING YOU FEEL THE WORST ABOUT IT. SEE IF EITHER ON YOUR OWN OR WITH A LOVED ONE, YOU CAN STOP AND LOOK AT THE PROBLEM OBJECTIVELY AND FIRST SEE IF YOU CAN CHANGE THE WAY YOU REACT TO IT-THEN SEE IF THERE ARE ANY WAYS IN WHICH YOU CAN LESSEN THE BURDEN AND MAKE IT NOT QUITE THE EMOTIONAL TORNADO IT MAY WELL SEEM. AS THE QUOTE INSINUATES, IF YOU WAIT UNTIL THE PAIN IS UNBEARABLE, ONLY THEN WILL CHANGE TAKE PLACE-BUT THAT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE. TRY TO CATCH IT BEFORE IT BECOMES UNBEARABLE, AND EVEN IF IT HAS, TRY THIS EXERCISE TO HELP PUT IT IN PERSPECTIVE. OF COURSE IF YOU CANNOT THERE IS ALWAYS COUNSELING, ETC... SO NEVER GIVE UP HOPE THAT YOU CAN LIVE THROUGH STRESSES NO MATTER HOW OVERCOME BY THEM YOU MAY FEEL. |
Hi all- I want to express my deepest sympathy for all of those in London and the County. It is a horrible tradgedy, one you will never forget, but like us, I know you too will overcome and come together and not give in to these twisted, sick people. I live 10 minuted form NYC and I have the view of Manhattan-my sons and sister were their that day. I can't tell you the level of anxiety waiting to hear if they were ok. then people coming over by ferry covered with dust not knowing where they were, neeing water and a towel and a place to think they were in shock- I know you will get through this and know you are in my and my families thoughts. We are rooting for you to get through this frightening event. I have confidence you will.I know you will become even stronger for it. When the shock is over-take good care to you all- priorites/Lee |

No matter where I go-nor what I do in life, if I live in a mansion, studio, or in a shack in the woods- I will never stop being thankful for a roof over my head, and the loved ones around me.-Lee QUOTES: How far you go in life depends on you being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and the strong. You begin to discover how much warmth and gentleness is there, as well as how much space. Author: Pema Chodron *Thanks you fro all your comments as always...such a hard time for so many...have a 'thankful' day...Lee PS=Don't forget the Red Cross and Salvation Army-they need us. Hi all- I simply cannot post with all of the tears and horror I saw today on cable...It brought tears to my eyes...such chaos-such loss. I as I have commented on many sites last night and today, am so thankful to be sitting here at the computer, safe, and I just wish I could be there to hug and support them...the elderly the babies...it is awful- I have to say - if they do not hurry, that water is ripe for disease- many may get very sick if they do not get out of there-then the violence-my goodness what would possess anyone to shoot at the rescue boats and helicopters? These people are in bad shape, now those nearby who were previously taking them in and feeding them and caring for them have stopped because of the fear! So sad- I have cable ad watch Fox News- it is incredible -just incredible- this tragedy reminds me of 9/11- that was too close for comfort- my family there-the worry and fear- and the reminder everyday when I look across the river at the view and the towers are not part of the skyline...all of that sorrow...and now this- but then mother nature played a hand in this -not terrorists, thank goodness. Hopefully I will post a different subject tomorrow...till then here are a few quotes... take care all..hug or send hugs to your loved ones tonight..Lee .
