As I a woke this morning and I realized it was true, All the things now that you’re gone , I will miss about you. The way you helped me with lifes’ little hurdles And the Christmas gift, the five pounds of turtles. The way you hated my red and black living room. You said it was like living in a tomb. My kitchen was ok it was just fine, But why did I have to mess it up with those vines. I was a guinea pig for new recipes, But if I refused….I was just fussy. The way you always wore skirts and I asked, “ Why not something else?” You said, “Oh I can’t.” A few days later you showed up at my house in PANTS! I will miss your kind face and your smile that was sweet, And the day Richard was mad cause you ruined the meat. But what I will miss the most about you is that you were always there whenever you were called, And mostly when you were never called at all. I will miss the stories, the laughter the tears, I will miss the fact we have no more years.
But I will say the thing that I will miss most about you, Is the way you drove me nuts, Ain’t that the truth. So Priscillia, I have finally found my hidden talent that you worried about for so many years, No, it’s not knitting or crocheting or ceramics but have no fear…. It’s my humour, on such occasions as today. I bring a smile a bit of relief in my own special way.
