| About wylde I describe my writs as 'mind paintings'. Linear understanding has little to do with it. poetry is art. a human art. an art of human expression. an internal verbal depiction of experience, outwardly manifested in the written form. The intent of my writing is an uncontrollable need to express myself in a way that resonates within the hollow peel of my being. My words are musical notes coloured with pigments and dyes to create a symphony of imagery, emanating from a primal place and used to encapsulate a range of 'feelings' or 'emotes.' I ask you to go past the confusion of cognitive understanding in order to embrace and connect with the meandering emotive responses which may be evoked. poe puree. nu.clear poetry. by the loss of [never- mind- no] matter more connective energy is released more than anticipated. Writing is an experience indelibly fused and etched onto and into my psyche - even during dry seasons, when writing does not rain onto pages, my experiences are still written in imagery tattooed into my mind. Sharing poetry for me is about offering a vision of experiencing different ways of seeing. Net-wise known as wylde - to my family, Doug, I live on the East Coast of South Africa, in the sub-tropical city of Durban. I'm married to Dianne, who is American. I am the Managing Director of a chemical coating company, supplying products to the printing and packaging industries, running the business quite loosely but also firmly in the spirit of Ubuntu [Loosely meaning: "I am what I am because of who we all are".] I'm an old washed up surfer who still loves to loll around on a board, and feel primally connected to the sea.
