Mar. 31, 2006 - OBX headers. i finally had a chance to install my obx headers in my car. that headers has been sitting in my closet for the longest time. the build of the header is pretty good; welding is excellent. it has provision for use of top heat sheild. for about $200, you cant get wrong, especially if you have been wanting to replace your cracked stock exhaust manifold. installation is pretty striaght forward. i didnt have to remove the distributor to put it in. i do have to extend the o2 sensor wire becasue the o2 flange is way down in the intermediate pipe. i really didnt like that the 02 sensore is in the underside of the body but even trd units have this feature as well. as you can see, i've gone egr'less. the engine bay looks more cleaner, and i do not have to bend back the egr pipe eveytime i put back the stock exhaust manifold. i found some usefull diagram from mr2 forums how to cap off the vacuum lines to remove the egr.
Mar. 24, 2005 - Whiteline rear swaybar. I finally made time and installed my whiteline rear swaybar that i bought from long last dec. first thing that you notice is that the swaybar uses its own end link bracket. other swaybars still utilize the stock end link bracket. as you can see, you can adjust the swaybar to your heart's content; 4 way adjustable! the end link bracket has 2 mounting points, i think the other point is where you put the endlinks when you set to 3rd or most stiffest setting. i test drove the car and so far, no noise or problems. i havent test its performance though, maybe the next autocross or drift event. i will install the fronts once i get all my parts from gabe for the coilover setup so i can do all the upgrades in one shot.
