Does the Clock Still Run?
She spends her time in looking
And waiting there by the door,
But the path stays empty,
No one walks it anymore;
There’s no candle for burning,
No guiding light back to home
No warmth burns in her hearth now,
She is just there all alone.
And the food in the cupboard
Collects dust and turns to mold,
There’s no reason to go there,
She let the room go to cold.
On the edge of existence
Offering no resistance.
