Dusk to Dark
I walk in the shadowed alleyway,
Before the ending of brilliant day,
When blue skies with puffy white
Fade to pink and reds on shades of blue
The setting sun blends from hue to hue.

As the glares subside with the passing bright
And long shadows go reaching into the night,
The baking heat finally starts to ease away
As the flicker from the lamp posts line the street
In a sleeping winking the night they greet.
