Immune to Reality
I walk straight
Down the darkened street so late,
With my cane,
Inner pain,
And an emotional haze
With blank gaze.

I walk on
Eastward to meet the next dawn,
Neighborhoods
Not so good,
Local tuffs giving the eye,
I walk by.

Nothing to me they can do,
As I walk the Avenue.
