In the Image of a Plain Jane
It stalked her,
Following in deep shadows
While she shopped
And then stopped,
Looking into the windows,
Face beaming
In dreaming
Of dresses of silk and lace,
Of romance
At a dance,
There was a smile on her face,
Then was gone,
Dreams ended and she moved on.
