Seeing Is
Lift the veil from eyes,
That for so long hid your soul
Pierce the cruel disguise,
Shatter the screen icy cold,
See beneath if you’re so bold.
Open the dark room’s door,
That has stayed shut for so long,
You’ve been not before
And you know you don’t belong,
See beyond if you’re so bold.
Feel the fear of life,
Where a dirge is happy tune,
Loneliness a knife,
And you’ve here come much too soon,
You peered because you are bold.
Run from this dark sight,
Leave in unbridled fleeing,
Knowing it’s not right,
This place too soon you’re seeing,
You’ve erred in being so bold.
Gloom
