Shyness
She smiles and he shies
Runs away not knowing why,
Blushing shades of red
Yet her image fills his head,
When home alone starts to cry.
She speaks in soft sound
He hopes courage can be found
To say a hello,
Before the fear makes him go.
Thoughts of her makes his heart pound
She touches his arm
And he goes into alarm,
Something he’d not dare,
Contact with beauty so rare,
Ensnared by her charm.
Beside him she walks,
Calm and softly to him talks,
It’s his fantasy
That’s become reality,
Beside him she walks.
Her scent swirls his head,
He speaks with his heart instead
Slowly release fears
The days become passing years
As wife now he beds.
