New to doing this with you,
Alone in the dark of night,
You with me a dim view,
Shadows hiding and highlight
The parts of you,
But your voice comes through,
Soft, just above the breathing sound,
And throbbing as two hearts pound,
Sunrise brings new light,
And you rush away,
Too quick to meet the new day,
As I lay back into the bed,
To smell your fragrance
~ where you rested your head.
Where souls did dance,
Gliding in hands that did explore;
Then I hear the closing door,
You’re gone lost in the sunlight,
Just a memory of last night.
