Conforming in form, informs
By which form,
Taken and makes thoughts to form.

Haiku

White blanket laying,
Wind formed to formless flowing,
Footprints form a path.

Tanka

Flakes of white drift
Ice winds fills the hidden lows,
Flaying through all clothes,
The night brings a calm dark with
Formless fields to trees shadows.

Quintain, English

The day was of winter winds of snows,
Casually filling the depressions with white,
Formed to smooth sheets by the brisk blows,
Till all falls to calm with the coming night,
Footprints forms a path to trees and out of sight.

Cinquain

Ice winds
Blowing the snows
Casting smoothing to all,
Form then marking in the calming,
Footprints

Sonnet

I walk the way in white blanket wrapping,
To leave my place and step into lone forms,
A step to mark a path with each stepping,
Then gone behind as the winter does swarm;

The dark comes down with the whiteness ending,
Ice winds flaying through the layers of warm,
Carries the sensations into the white blending.
Then I pause there to rest as wind does ease.

Quiet and dark amidst soft smooth chilling,
Formless beauty white fields runs to the trees,
The holes and deep ditches over flowing,
Conforms to just the wind the soul to please.

Then step and shape a path through the frozen,
Leave forms for the winter to fill back in.
