CHINESE POETRY

 Xue Tao
  Seeing off a Friend

 Tender reeds,
 Overnight frost touched the marsh;
 The cool moon
 And mountain,
 In haze softens lines too harsh,

 And by dusk.

 Who says you’ll be leagues away?
 In my dreams
 Nightly thoughts
 Will follow you along the way,
 Pass boarders.
