Two sided,
A solidarity split,
Bipolar.
She walks along morning streets,
Fresh from sleep,
Carries smiles for all she meets,
Her cheeks creased from lightest care,
Happy day,
Coins for the beggar laying there,
The day is filled with laughter
Joyful Eve,
Sun sets leaves the time after.
He stumbles with blurring eyes,
His mind's grieve,
Mud streaked cheeks as darkness cries,
Lost in paths of manmade stone,
Mindless way
Where pass rats and him alone,
Down sewers nightmares he meets,
Shadows creep,
Nothing lower will he greet.
Coins spinning,
The fates replace all again,
Cast swirling.
He glances by chance to see,
Alley dark,
The places that he used to be,
Events change and life is torn,
Bright lights shine,
And another life is worn,
Now he can see outward light,
Happy found,
Walking with a inner light.
Staggered stroll and eyes don't blink,
In the park,
Foot before foot doesn't think,
Blind mindless has taken
The darks find,
She's now sold and forsaken,
The smile is just painted there,
Gladness bound,
She just no longer can care.
Toss the coin,
There are winners and losers,
Once again.
