Cunningham Fulfilled It!
"MISSIONARY LEADER LOREN Cunningham personally fulfilled Christ's command to 'go into all the world', last month, when he finally arrived in the only country he had not visited in more than four decades of international ministry."
. . .
"During his time in Libya, Cunningham visited the site where St. Mark baptized converts in the early years of the Church. 'The Libyans have been an oppressed people for centuries and centuries, but they have a compassion for others
that are oppressed as a result,' he commented. 'If they can only find the truth and freedom they are searching for, that compassion for the lonely and the isolated and the oppressed will come forth as a mighty force for God.'" In this paragraph, the discerning reader will recognize the YWAM idea of "redeeming cultures." It is believed that every culture was created with a divine purpose and that the role of Christians is to find out what it is and
do the spiritual warfare necessary to bring it into its God-ordained original purpose. This is typical "YWAM think" and can be found in the writings of those trained in YWAM, including George Otis Jr, John Dawson, and others.
