The Pumpkin Pie Game- Submitted by Chris
Orange paper Plate (or one you've painted orange), Black and red markers or crayons, Scissors, One die, Score pad
1. Fold plate in half and cut. Fold each halve in half and cut. Repeat with the other two halves until you end up with eight "pie slices." 2. Using the black marker, number six slices 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. 3. With the red marker, number the two black pieces 4 and 5.
Rules of the Game:
All pie pieces are placed together in the center of the play area. Each player throws the die. The player with the highest number starts the game.
1. The first player rolls the die. Player then takes the pie slice matching the number rolled. Player's score is recorded.
2. Second player rolls the die, takes the slice matching the number rolled, and score is recorded. Game continues around. If a 4 or 5 is rolled, players take the slice with the matching BLACK numbers.
NOTE: If another player rolls a 4 or 5, then that player may take the Bonus slice with the matching RED number. Game continues until all pieces are gone. No score is recorded when a player rolls a number for which there is no longer a matching slice. Play passes to the next player.

a prize. And, of course, everyone gets to keep any candy they have left in
their bag.

Mummy May I- Submitted by Sherry
One child, or an adult, is "mummy". The other children stand in a straight line, with the mummy standing in front of them with enough distance for them to move forward towards him or her. (It's really neat if you can rip up an old pillow case or sheet and stain them with leftover coffee or tea to wrap around the "mummy's" head.)
The children move toward mummy by asking permission to take steps. For example, a child could ask, "Mummy May I take ten steps forward?" The mummy can be creative as to the type of steps they ask to take, such as giant monster steps, pixie steps, as well as ogre, howling dog etc.
Mummy answers, "Yes, you may" or "No, you may not," and the child must follow her instructions. If the child moves when he or she has not been given permission, they must go back to the starting line. The first child to touch mummy becomes mummy in the next game.

The children who find the two ghosts sit by the teacher. Give them a ghost caller and let them make ghost noises for the next ghost hunt. The noise helps call the ghosts from their hiding places. Hunt for the Black Cats- Submitted by Georgie
Paper, a drawing of ten cats on one sheet of paper with a number (0 through 9) on each cat (see below), Pencils
Make nine or ten copies of the page of cats (enlarge if necessary). Cut the cats apart in rectangular pieces of paper. When the students are out of the room, hide these cats throughout the classroom. Distribute one piece of paper and a pencil to each student. Show students a sample of the paper cats that are hidden around the room and tell them that today's math lesson is a cat hunt.
At a signal, have the children search the classroom for cats. Allow 5-10 minutes for this. Sound the signal and ask students to return to their desks. Have the students write down the numbers they found in a column on a piece of paper. Instruct each student to add up all the numbers on the cats they found. Let the child with the highest number come up to the chalkboard and write the numbers of each child's total cats in a long column on the board. Discuss how to reach a grand total. Have children attempt to find the sum of everyone's cats. Calculate the total as a group and ask students to check their work against the correct answer.

Halloween Bingo- Submitted by Georgie
I make bingo cards using recognizable Halloween pictures such as bats, jack-o-lanterns, witches, etc.. I divide each card into 9 equal squares and cut and paste copies of pictures into the squares and laminate. I make sure that each card has 9 different figures, but not all cards will have the exact same figures (you'll probably need at least 12 different figures). One of each of these pictures is put onto a "draw card" and one card at a time is drawn and called, at which time the children playing cover the matching picture. You can either play to get 3 in a row or black out. We use candy corn as bingo markers then have a sweet snack when the game is over.

Halloween Sort- Submitted by Georgie
During Halloween we learn how to sort. One of the things we sort is wrapped candy. I ask each child to bring in a bag of candy and they may sort it according to type of candy, color of wrappers, size, etc.. any way they can think of. At the end of class we divided the candy equally among the children. This is a great activity for them around Halloween time. I also tell them that after they come home from Trick-or-Treat they should sort their candy to show their parents what they have learned.
