People Who Can Give Referrals To Your Daycare
Source Unknown

Children, grandparents, ministers, pediatrician, child care advocate, mailman, anyone who comes in contact with you. Be aware that they anyone can be a potential advocate for your program and always speak and conduct yourself in a professional manner.

Acknowledge referral sources through:

Tuition rebate programs -a day free for referrals that sign up

Special events - an ice cream party at pick up time to thank a parent who referred three friends

Unexpected thank you gifts - sending a parent a thank you flower at her place of employment.

Introduce yourself to new families in church.

Bring business cards with you when you take the children on field trips or to the park to give to people who inquire about your daycare.

Have children wear t-shirts with your logo on them for trips to identify yourself as a daycare. Hand painted or tie dyed shirts also work well.

Display your activity calendar along with brochures on employee information boards of businesses close to your home.

Stamp your name and date on the back of your children’s artwork. As these are proudly displayed so will your name.

Contact your local bank or grocery store about displaying artwork in their lobby. Mount pictures with a mat board, frame and the child’s name and photo along with your name or daycare name.

Add you name to a silent auction, donating 2 days of free childcare.

Become involved in your local childcare association, early childhood groups, library story hours and parenting groups. They will offer you the support you need and possible referrals.

Whenever you mail a bill, add your business card.
