96W Compact Fluorescent

DIY light fixture.

This page is to demonstrate how *ANYONE* can build a simple and inexpensive exclosure for a compact fluorescent light using a few tools that most people have around. No wood working skills are required. Basically if *I* can make one, you can too.

This is the EXTREMELY preliminary page put up simply to get the photos online for anyone interested. Actual write up and description will follow someday.

In the meantime, after you browse the photos here, check out the very nice page Neil did on his own 2x96W fixture based on the same kit I used. You can find it at http://www.lkraven.com/Aquarium/DIYLighting.htm

96W Compact fluorescent light kit is available from Aquarium Hobbyist Supply (aka A.H. Supply). Kit includes ballast, socket, reflector, and all the needed hardware. Lamp sold seperately.
