Shahmukhy unlike Gurumukhy has not been defined to cater for all
the Punjabi dialects, therefore we have been working on it so one can write and
read the way they speak Punjabi. The following is an example of the minor
changes to the way we are accustomed to, please study it and let us know what you
think of it and may be you could come up with another idea, which does not mean
introducing new alphabet and making use of the present set up of Urdu, so all
the computer programs can easily be worked with to write Punjabi the way we
speak.
The other problem Shahmukhy has which needs to be addressed
is NUQTE (Dots) of large YEH and small yeh, when written you can not distinguish
which is which. There are thousands and thousands of words when you read
them, you never know what it is unless you go forward reading and then come
back and read again, I will give a sample here to explain what the problem
is. If anyone has any suggestions, please inform us. Thank you.
Can you make sense of the above sentence without
confusion?
