Nipple Erectors Camden, London 1978/79 The Nipple Erectors named by bassplayer Shanne after her weird dream were formed from fans of the early London punk scene in '77. She spotted fellow Nip the interesting looking Shane McGowan across a crowded bar and they formed the band and friendship. The Nipple Erectors had minor success in the UK towards the late 70's but soon disolved. Shane went onto infamy as the rock worlds most infamous lead drunk in the Pogues and Shanne joined numerous other Independent outfits like The Men They Couldnt Hang while bringing up two children and is now at Art College in London and still collaborates on various musical projects with friends. She still likes her punk too!
