DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
OK so this one started out as an army for my wife. She saw the High Elves in White Dwarf magazine about the time they released the second edition of the High Elf army book for the fourth edition of WFB. So I got a few models painted for several different units, and then it stalled for four years. But then I started doing all of my other GW stuff for 28mm HotT, and so I decided to finish up these guys too.
Originally, this army was set up as Hero General, hero, Magician, and two each of Spears, Shooters, and Knights. But after some reflection, I decided that this format better served the general "feel" of the army. My good buddy Darkhost suggested replacing the single Bades element with another Knight, but efficiency prevailed in this decision: I would rather paint four Infantry figures than two Mounted figures.
