Punkrabbitt's Vor: the Maelstrom Gallery

ZYKHEE

Zykhee were the models that got me into Vor. Originally I was going to use them as a new alien species in Warhammer 40,000, but then I began to read about the them and the Vor background got a hold on me. The fluff says they all have blue skin, but I didn't like that and so I went with earthtones instead. In this gallery you will see my conversions, as I think they convey the feel of what I have done with the base models as well.

My Warrior Monark was converted from a Divaak model, embellished with Deathdancer tips and Space Wolf accessories. He died a rather lot in games if I recall correctly.

This is my Third Circle Mystic, converted with bits from Warzone and Warhammer 40,000. Always worth his points in the game.

My Jo'tokk always get attention. These models are MASSIVE. Remeber that Zykhee models stand almost 2 inches tall, and you will realize that these things are bigger than an Ursa suit (see picture below.) Now, if I could only get motivated to finish the other six...

My biggest Jo'tokk next to my Ursa and a Rad Trooper. They really are that big!

These two are a Divakk and a Ka'char rspectively. Both of these models were built to represent named caharcters in a campaign we were playing. The Divaak in particular was lethal, he had obscene Ranged Combat ability coupled with a Pod tip as well as enhanced Body and Life.

The Ny'Kang I built just for the hell of it. They never amounted to much in the game, but I was in the process of converting a squad of every warrior type that was not commercially available. They were great against those Union tanks if they could get close enough, though.

The Wardyns and Wylds were another part of the "build a squad of everything" project. They never amounted to much for me, as they were designed to go head on head with Growlers or other biggies, and I was stuck fighting Union or other Zykhee. I was in fact working on a third Wardyn model and Myntokk himself when the Shard were released and I strayed from the Bael Fire....
