2001 US Pairs Bronze Medalists
Yesterday was the annual Awards Banquet at Detroit Skating Club. Steve & Danielle received the Krause Award for recognition of their years of dedication to their sport and the accomplications they achieved together.
Every year at the banquet the skaters at DSC choose the skater among them who exemplifies good sportsmanship and overall friendlieness and kindness during practices. Steve was the overwhelming choice for the award this year.

Last night while Danielle was out to dinner with her boyfriend Chris, he got down on his knee and proposed to her with a beautiful diamond ring. Danielle, in tears, accepted his proposal.
Danielle & Chris met in May of 2001, while both were vacationing in Jamaica.
Danielle is living and coaching in Richmond, Virginia and Chris is employed by a fraternity at the University of Virginia.
They hope to set a September 2003 wedding date.
