Adoptions
Because of the amount of time and money involved in rehabilitating these rescues, we only rescue a few every 6-12 months (sometimes longer). They are only adopted out in the state of Minnesota after thorough investigation of each potential home. We require references, home inspections, a contract, and an adoption fee. If for any reason they (the adopting family) can't or won't care for the dog, he or she MUST be returned to us. We do not accept applications for adoptions until the dogs have been in foster care for a few weeks. This helps us better match their individual temperments and needs. It also allows us to get a bit of a life story on each dog.

We keep a photo journal for them as well. The first photo is taken when they arrive to their foster home. As progress is made (first bath, first pound gained, first walk on a leash, etc.) a new photo is added. We keep one copy of the photo journal, and the new owners get the other.

Each of the dogs and puppies are altered (spayed/neutered), current on vaccines/wormings, and have a microchip before they go to their new homes. We also get them socialized and accustomed to new situations. Most of them have never had a life outside of the cramped kennels used by the puppy mills.

If you have more questions, please feel free to ask. We're more than happy to educate people whenever possible.
