Vromb / Voice Crack / Aube -- Foufones Electrique, April 2, 2000

Vromb, slicing through the crowd with deftly constructed rhythms and scintillating analog trills.

Vromb, during an amazing, extended version of "Synchronisateur."

Switzerland's Voice Crack, whose setup consisted of a table full of all manner of homemade electronic gadgetry. They had several instruments which were sensitive to light. Handheld flashlights were used to trigger them.

Voice Crack, whose performance was brutal from the get-go.

Aube -- using only an oscillator, the famed sound sculptor covered an *amazing* range of territory during his short set. The opening two minutes of "dental floss between the ears" high-frequency tweakage is a feeling i'll never forget!

The crowd was relatively small, but completely enraptured throughout the performances.
