Characters for    Epona's Ocarina

Epona-Canon character-Epona was born three months before Ganondorf took over the Kingdom of Hyrule. She became very bitter to everyone except Malon and Knight Prince after Ingo took over the ranch. She joined Link and Navi after they got rid of Ingo. She soon learned that her sire and dam were from the two top horse breeds in Hyrule and she was destined to aid Link and slowly break Ganondorf's control over Hyrule.

Link-Canon character-Raised in the Kokiri Forest and destined to be the Hero of Time, Link is not your average Hylian. Link met Epona after meeting the rancher's daughter, Malon, in the market. He quickly earned the mare's trust quickly when she was a filly. He disappeared for seven years and came back, help giving Malon control of the ranch. Soon after Epona joined him and Navi, he gained the ability to comunicate with Epona.

Navi-Canon character-Navi the fairy's life before meeting Link is unknown but she was summoned by the Deku Tree to aid Link on his journey. She would constantly remind Link to stay on track. After Epona joined them, Navi would translate what Epona said for Link until he received the power to understand the mare.

Malon-Canon character-Malon is the daughter of the owner of Lon Lon Ranch, Talon. She lost her mother at a young age and worked hard to help keep the ranch running. She deeply cared for Epona and her mother, Queen of Hearts. After meeting Link, she developed a crush and would day dream more than work. After Ganondorf took over, her father was kicked out and she was forced to stay by Ingo. After seven years, Link gave the ranch back to her and she allowed him to take Epona for his journey.

Queen of Hearts-Original character-Queen of Hearts, or Queenie, was born in the desert as a Desert War Horse. After being sold multiple times (of course, no one knew she was valuable), she made it to Lon Lon Ranch. Her and Knight Prince fell in love and had Epona. Epona became her pride and joy. Ingo took her when he asked Ganondorf for ownership of Lon Lon Ranch. Queenie was soon killed by abuse soon after.

Knight Prince-Original character-Knight Prince, or Knight, was born at Hyrule Castle and was soon bought by Lon Lon Ranch. He met Queenie a year later and they fell in love. After five years, they had Epona. He was then taken up to the castle to be "fixed" and became a gelding. He watched over Epona before and after Ingo took over the ranch. Three and half years after Ingo took over, he was sold to Ganondorf.
