It always grows deeper
When I fill in a hole
Another is dug
It's gotten real cold
But it keeps getting colder
The end seems too near,
Yet not near enough
Why is it me
Why do I fall
I never go slowly
It's so sudden
Everyone is cheerful

I stare at time and life and question them
They never reply
They keep going on regardless of my pleas
Everyone notices
Do they really care?
