RECOVERING NICELY

While there's still no clear diagnosis for my ailments, Ol' Boogie has been taking it as easy as possible, doing everything possible to get plenty of sleep, and most importantly, trying hard not to take life too seriously.  And it's been working too!

I've got a bit more energy, and a lot more enthusiasm.  And I'm almost ready to venture into the iron walls of Mello-Drama Studios, and get back to doing what I do best:  creating silly music that y'all can't help but love.

My enthusiasm is further bolstered by a couple of recent events.  First, I have finally acquired the copyright certificate for "Fuzzy Jank."  And while I have been protected by copyright since they took the coinage out of my account, it's still nice to have it in paper form.  Secondly, the first drafts for the cover art are in, and they look bitching!  Far more hardcore than what I had ever envisioned.  In fact, they look so tough, I'm half tempted to put the discalimer, "THIS IS NOT METAL" on the CD packet.

With a little under two months to go before the release date (still not set, but definately on or around Halloween,) the publicity stuff starts now.  X96 and KRCL are obvious targets, but I'm also looking at several internet radio statons looking for hip cats like myself.  What I'll most likely do is create a links section on the B.G.O page for any place that's playing stuff from the album.

Tis' a grand time my peoples!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Regarding the debut album, I've been in talks with people and have been given the idea to possibly release a 3-song EP before the October release date of the album.  It just seems like a good idea to do something small to turn on people to what's going on at Mello-Drama studios and maybe get people hyped up for the LP.  I'm thinking something along the lines of a limited release of 50 to 100 copies that I'll give away at Greywhale or some other local venue.  I'll post details on this page and the B.G.O Myspace page as things come together.

Also, I'm still looking for musicians.  I know eventually B.G.O is going to have to be live, and I'm pretty sure I can't do it all myself.  So, all you hip guitarists, pianists, and drummers out there who have skills and no life, Give me a buzz!
