It all began on the 7th of January, 1978. In a small nursing home in Alandur, a suburb in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, the lucky couple Mrs&Mr Vijayalaksmi Parthasarathy was blessed with a baby boy. The parents were very happy with the God's gift, however, their first son Sudarsan, was little disappointed as he was expecting a sister. So much so that he did not turn up in the hopital to see his baby brother. Well, Sudarsan a.k.a Raja, reconciled with the turn of events. How can he not, when a charismatic brother was born to be authoring this web page today.
The new born was named Venkatesh, as the day of birth was Saturday. The loving father named him Patta, which meant nothing as a word but meant a whole world of nice things to the father.
The child had to face some hard days in its early days. It was hardly 6 months into the child's life, and the child had to go through some trying times. The child was sick with brain fever, and the doctor (the father's neice) had to take the tough decision....to operate the child. Even to this day, the mother dreads recollecting the scenes she saw through the peep-hole of the operation theatre door. When the child was declared out of danger, the father was ecstatic and distributed sweets to all he knew exclaiming "my son has defeated the lord of death (yama)". The father was always proud of his sons. For the mother it was almost the second life gifted to her son. And she thanked all the gods for that gift of life.
