These are all the members of the 2nd Michigan Volunteer Infantry Color Party I have found so far.

Please keep in mind that these men would carry their weapons at the shoulder arm and would save the bullet to protect the Colors.

Because the Regimental Colors stood out in battle very often soldier would fire in the directions of them knowing that the regiment would usually align beside the Colors.

your chances of getting wounded or killed as a member of the Color Guard was extremely high so these men were very brave and also felt it an honor to protect the Colors.
