In 1950 my family’s house was stolen (nationalized using the right euphemism) by the Communists.  My family was kicked out over night in the street and labeled enemies of the people.  They all moved into one single room in another family’s apartment where they lived until my grandfather died.

In 1989 the Communist regime of Nicolae Ceausescu was overturned, but it took 12 years until 2001 for the new Democratic power to admit the illegality of the Nationalization act (law 10/2001).  The law meant to protect the right of the tenants (the old apparatchiks) rather than those of the owners, requires the dispossessed title-holder to request the restitution of the house from the current tenant.

It is at this time, that PricewaterhouseCoopers Romania decided to use all their resources to continue to perpetuate this illegal and immoral act by steering away from the law and trying to sell the judicial rights to the house.  As it stands, PricewaterhouseCoopers Romania is the sole entity that halts the reparation process of a grave injustice.  Further more they use illegal means (blackmail, extortion) trying to force me in accepting a deal through which they would benefit financially from an eventual sale of my grandfather’s house.

I am pursuing all the available judicial means in Romania however PricewaterhouseCoopers abuses their name and financial resources in order to further their shady goal.

I have tried to contact the offices of PwC in the US, Canada and UK raising a warning flag about the abuses of their name and prestige by PwC Romania, but with very little success so far.

Recently a member of the UK office not only condoned the practices of PwC Romania but also assured me that it was a globally accepted practice.  This statement casts a serious doubt on the entire organization and goes contrary to the messages of honesty and ethics that were sent recently by PwC’s CEO in an effort to reassure the public in the wake of the huge financial scandals in the US.

As I have no reason to hide away from the public opinion and I am convinced that the truth and justice would prevail I want to make this case as public as possible in an effort to force PricewaterhouseCoopers into taking a position in this Romanian matter.  As such I need any help that I can get in my quest.  Please email me your suggestions or please feel free to forward this page to any individual that might be in position to help.
