[01.07.04] With the end of the NFL regular season so conludes the PWFSI 2004 season. The Mock Draft Challenge and NFL Pick'ems wrapped up with unsurprising finishes.
Puck pulled ahead in the MDC late into the season and built himself a strong lead, clinching the 11 points necessary to win the PWFSI Championship. Puck's Championship was driven not only by the MDC championship, but that of PWFFL's Puck Bowl win over Libzie's Rhode Island Ridicule. Those two championships showed to be the difference over his nearest competators Sue and Jabin who failed to clinch a title this fantasy season.
The big news coming out of the 2004 season was the growth of the league and the introduction of some top notch talent into PWFSI. Angela U. leads that group with her two championships in the new Puck's Underground Fantasy Football League (PUFFL) and the NFL Pick'em Challenge. If Angela would have put in respectable teams in PWFFL and PWFBL, she would have been a serious contender for the PWFSI crown in 2004. Dre J. was another new competator to join PWFSI this year and logged in many hours in PWFSI leagues to put up a very respectable showing that outshined such PWFSI stables as Willa and Jock S.
What can we expect out of 2005? With no hockey, it looked like football would have taken an even stronger hold on PWFSI, but the introduction of Door 2 Door Outta Turn 4 (NASCAR Pick'ems) and the growth of PWFGC could start turning PWFSI into a more diverse interleague battle.
