DRIVEAfter having created a pretty solid vehicle body, I needed to figure out how to attach the motor and axels. The cardboard was too weak to hold the motor in place with screws and didn't seem that good for mounting axel bearings to either. If I mounted the motor inside the body right side up, I would have no chance to move it around or change gears if I needed to. A wooden motor support was glued to the inside of the body and the cardboard was cut away so that the motor could be mounted upside down for ease of adjustment. Small slippery plastic parts were found for the bearings. A drill hole created the actual bearing surface. Wood was glued to the cardboard to provide bearing mounts.
