Sailor Moon (Season 1) : Released by ADV

Sailormoon was brought over to America in 1995 by DiC. The dub covered the first 65 episodes of the series, leaving viewers hanging in the middle of the season; in 1997 DiC dubbed an additional 17 episodes, bringing the dub up to the end of the second season, Sailormoon R. DiC has been widely criticized by Sailormoon fans for their name changes, rescoring of the series, skipped episodes, and less-than-accurate translations. ADV films has released the first 2 seasons dubbed on VHS, and is now releasing a Dub-only DVD version.

On July 27, 2002, ADV announced that they had obtained the rights to distribute the original Japanese episodes of the first two seasons in subtitled form. Their plan is to release the episodes in two boxsets, each comprised of one season per box. A release date has not yet been announced
