What to say about myself? Well....I was born in Dehli, India on November 8th, 1873. I grew up on the streets, literally. By the age of 8 I had become accustomed to having to fend for myself. My mother spent her nights in stange men's beds; just to provide what she could for me. Which wasn't much. During the day, I spent my time wandering the streets, coniving the merchants into giving me a rupee or two. Most would send me away, of course; others would say only in exchange for a week's worth of work; and still others would want more heinous things. Sexual favors. Those men I kept away from. Soon I learned how to play with their emotions. I'd wear the filthiest rags of clothing I could find, and smudge dirt all over my face to play upon their pity. This worked better than I could have imagined! Meanwhile, my mother had found herself a well paying, respectable job, and we moved to a nicer part of the city. My mother remarried when I was 13. The man was pleasant, wealthy, but his eyes wandered too much, which my mother just ignored. I was content to ignore it as well. After all, he taught me about the ways of life. How to lie and manipulate things into going your way. He also doted on me. Anything I wanted I could have. I guess my charms had proven to be efficient after all. To charm the charmer does take work.

I grew older, and as I did, I soon had many men wrapped around my little finger; anything I could want was mine. Still, I wasn't content..... I wanted more. For my 16th birthday I was given a cobra, which I named Bijou. My mother and step-father grew anxious for me to choose one of my many suitors and marry them. I knew I could never be happy tied down to one man. On the other hand, I also knew I didn't have to be. Just give the illusion that I was. So I started spending much of my time with one of my more impressive suitors, Varesh. To satisfy my mother, I agreed to marry him and plans for the wedding were soon under way. About a week before the wedding, I met a Romanian man who's charms equaled that of my own. The wildness of his eyes and the essence of danger that seemed to pour from his very soul, enchanted me. I met him in the market place. Well...actually, he met me. He tried to steal a satchel that was hanging about my waist, that was loaded down with rupees. At first, he was embarassed that I had caught him. But that changed into jealousy as we walked into the night talking, and I held up his wallet. Which he took back with a very surprised look on his face. Needless to say, I never made it home that night. Raksha had taken a liking to me. A major liking. I never saw another sunrise again.

About a week after the Embrace, I returned home late one night as everyone slept, and gathered some of my belongings as well as my beloved pet, Bijou. At first she hissed at me, and rose up to attack, but I soon soothed her with calming words. I don't know whether it was my voice she recognized or one of my new found talents that Raksha had bestowed upon me. But she relaxed and curled around my arm, then slithered up to my shoulder, as was her custom. When I arrived back to Raksha's lair, he seemed surprised and at the same time pleased that the snake would still come to me. Then he told me about the power our blood has over animals. At first, I didn't want to, but then he convinced me that ghouling Bijou would be beneficial to both of us. It would assure that she would not die so long as I fed her my vitae, and it would also make her more powerful and loyal to me. I asked him if it would have the same effect on humans. Hesitantly, he told me it would. He knew about Varesh, and that I was to be married to him. More time passed with Raksha teaching me the ways of our kind, and how to use and control the abilities his blood had given me. But he seen that I was withdrawn somehow. Lonely. I told him I missed Varesh, and my family. Scared that I would leave, he brought me a new pet. A panther. The beast was large, but tame. Kronos, he said was his name. At first I ignored the beast, as Bijou didn't seem to like him around me. But then, the more I thought about Varesh, and that I wanted him to be with me always, the more I knew I had to ghoul Kronos for protection.

Kronos and I grew close, eventually. Bijou took to him as well. Then the night came. Raksha and I had a heated arguement. That resulted in me gathering a minimal amount of belongings and leaving with Bijou and Kronos. I had no other place to go. That did not matter. I grew up on the streets....I'd find another way. Eventually, I ended up on Varesh's doorstep. He was shocked to see me, but happy that I was alive. He wanted to take me back home to my parents, but I refused to go. I explained to him what had happened; he understood. I still to this day don't know why I even told him. I guess because he was the only one I could ever truly talk to.
I asked him to flee India with me. To leave everything behind. He didn't want to go at first. Ever coniving, I began sneaking him a small amount of blood into everything I cooked for him, or served him to drink. He was none the wiser until one night he punched through a solid brick wall while venting his anger. So then I told him what I had done, and though he was a bit angered, that didn't last for long. The bond had already taken hold of him. I convinced him to drink directly from me, and after a couple weeks of this, we found ourselves traveling across Pakistan; no real destination in mind. Just that we wanted to leave India. We ended up staying in Russia for sometime, then moved on to Europe. Over time, Varesh and I grew apart. He always remained faithful to me, but more like an obediant dog. I guess he grew tired of watching me fawn all over other men. Mostly to see what I could get from them, but sometimes it was just for the fun of the game. Games or not, my fawning lined my pockets, and by the time we left Europe to go to the United States, I had more money than my step-father could have drempt of. Such things happen when people look at you as a goddess, I suppose. I wonder how I will do in America. It is said that they like exotic beauties like myself there.....
